So, from those who've brought you Space Station 13 comes a game that's... basically like space station 13, but aimed to be more serious, more widespread, and also more graphical. While the game is nowhere near finished, it is something that they are looking to put a lot of time and effort in. A lot like SS13, they want this game to be a labor of love rather than a labor of money and steam.

To give you a brief overview of what they want the game to be... it's a roleplaying game, where you play a crew member on a ship/station/outpost in space. Your job is determined before the round, and you are given objectives to complete, and every job has a specific role. Scientists do work on the ship, such as figuring out formulas or inventing new items to use, technicians fix the ship, and repair any damage to the hull, as well as make sure the ship is running in top performance, and security keeps the peace as well as handing any... outside harmful influences to the crew.

Introduce scenarios, such as asteroid fields, outbreaks, alien invasions, and a multitude of things created -by- players, and you've got Centration. The game is physics based, so when something happens---say, rapid depressurization, or loss of oxygen, there is a good chance of major damage and -character- death, making the rounds last probably around an hour or longer, much like in space station 13.

The possibilities are pretty great for a game like this. Massive player input. Private servers. ROLEPLAY. They are looking for funding, and possibly a greenlight on steam. It'd be great if this game could get some backing... it looks like it could be fun so far, and from what I know of Space Station 13... it could be downright brilliant.

SS13 is a lot of fun. If any of you play it, stop by the Facepunch server. I'm an admin there and I'll.. uh.. make you a hulk that shoots lasers out of your eyes or something.
Characters:
Spoiler:
Kilik Sunstep - Sin'dorei - Demon Hunter - Somewhere in the northern Kalimdor.
Chance Stone - Human - Warrior - Somewhere in the Eastern Kingdoms.
Tara Fairbanks - Human - Mage - Somewhere in Dalaran.

I too play SS13 except on the Goon servers. I've been watching this thing recently and I'm actually pretty happy that a SS13-style game is actually being made off that silly BYOND platform. There has been quite a few people saying that they'd do something like this but I think this is one of the two that are actually going through with it.

Plus, SS13 in First Person would be horrifying, absolutely horrifying.
