I'm not sure if you're there. I'm not sure if this will get to you. I'm not sure if you're even alive, but I need to try.

I've been undead since that fateful day in Stratholme when we separated. I prayed and prayed that you survived, hoped that one day I would find you again. At first it was the thought that perhaps things could go back to normal, but I know that not to be possible now. All I seek now is closure. To make sure you're okay.

I serve the Ebon Blade now, a Death Knight. Hated knights, you know that, yet here I am. Ashamed of my actions, yet I can't help but feel a little pride in what I feel is my redemption. Hopefully when I pass away one day, I'll have earned forgiveness from the Light.

The Death Knight sighed, peering down at the letter one last time before sealing it up. Slipping it into the mailbox before a soul could notice him, he turned to depart. His lips tightened, eyes narrowing softly as he peered over his shoulder at the mailbox. Part of him wanted someone to go there right now and immediately deliver it. But... patience was necessary.

He waited this long.

He could wait another day. Or week. Or... however long it took.

I will be honest, it took a while to figure out how to write this. My hand still shakes. If this be some sort of prank, Light damn whoever you are.

Though I might question how you found me, it matters little. Things are fortunately peaceful here in Stormwind. I and my father have settled into the park, and your sister's working at the chapel. She was actually at Gnomeregan recently. It sounded like a dreadful affair from her description of it all.

But I digress. I want to see you again. Where can we meet?

The Death Knight peered at the parchment clutched in his hand, a pain rising in his chest. His lips tightened, quivering, eyes narrowing softly.

A finger of his brushed over the red marking her lips must have made next to the signature. As he stared at the imprint, he found himself lost. His mind struggled to recall everything it could about her, about their time spent together. The years of joy they shared.

One moment in particular stuck out in his mind.

His eyes widened.

He grinned.

His fellow knights in Acherus quirked brows as a loud guffaw echoed throughout the fortress. A genuinely happy, surprised laugh.

Body trembling, the pain deep in his being still present, and with a smile widening his lips, he wrote his reply. Only one word was needed.
