Son's Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:

Well, where to start?

I've been playing world of warcraft since late vanilla, since then I've achieved many things that are irreverent to roleplay communities and servers.

I started roleplaying around 5-6 years ago on WoW and EQ2. I never found 'great' roleplayers on live, and instead turned to private servers and other games. I found great fun roleplaying on private servers since.

I find the most fun in roleplaying writing lore. I'm currently working as a lore dev on a minecraft server called Lord of the Craft and I've written lore for prologue-wow before. Although most of the lore I've written is base cannon stuff, not day to day lore. My best is with baseline lore, rather then additional side lore.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:

I was born in Portugal, but I live in Canada. English is my primary language.

How did you get into Warcraft?:

As stated above, I began in late vanilla. I spent many nights playing dota and risk revo on warcraft 3, so when I heard of WoW I was thrilled.

How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:

Mainly private server roleplay, you do appeal to me in a few ways. Prologue has recently got stale for me, and I'm looking for a new experience.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:

Small emotion based roleplay. A roleplay setting which draws characters in and forms long IC relations.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:

On retail? I play a orc deathknight, I've achieved Gladiator on my dk more then once, so I'm a biased DK player :(

But I would NEVER roleplay a DK, I found there positions very PGish and even borderline godmodding. For roleplay I prefer warrior or shaman, obviously Orc, unless the race is already overpopulated.

What are your expectations of this server?:

A tight, fun community of good roleplayers.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:

Godmoding & Plagiarism rules.

I can't explain how bad it is when you do not enforce these. Here is all I'll state, "THRALL WAS MY FATHER, I AM THE SOLE AND TRUE HEIR TO THE ALLIANCE THRONE."

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

A story?
Hmmm.

Well I'm not fully sure if this is suppose to be IC or OCC...?

Here goes nothing. ))

Thalder strides into the tavern, his hand firmly resting on the cold pommel of his sword. As be begins to get comfortable in his seat, Gwenael approaches his table.

"You've gotten fat." Gwenael states, a sharp grin forming on his face.

"Aye, and you've gotten married." Thalder scoffs, pointing towards Gwenaels ring finger.

"It was to further my family, nothing for you to be concerning your white beard with." Gwenael says, knocking himself into the seat across from Thalder.

"I'm sure." Thalder returns the grin, "The contract wants us to march north."

Gwenael eyes Thalder's thick beard, watching it bounce with his jaw movements, "To Arathi?"

Thalder nods, cracking a nut open. Throwing it into his mouth, "Horde have been running a muck there." he says, chewing on the nut, "The alliance has relied on hiring mercenaries instead of fighting there own battles."

Gwenael nods, standing up.

"Rally the men, and take this." Thalder says, placing a poorly smithed blade onto the table.

Gwenael grins, placing his hand on the grip.

:O I hope that's okay? I had absolutely nothing to write about! ))

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:

I'd love to work on a lore team for you all, so if a opening on the lore team opens... Sign me up!

Also, I changed the colors so you could read this easier!

Hello! I'm flammos200(Just Flammos is fine too.), and it's my pleasure to welcome you to CoTH!

Now, be sure to read up on the Rules and Policies if you haven't already, and if you need help Creating a Character, you can find some on the Wiki, or take a gander at some of the Profiles there, to familiarize yourself with some of the people you might meet on CoTH.

Other than that, you probably should know that here on CoTH, we work strictly with the Lore given to us by Blizzard. I.E. The very point of the server is to be as true to the spirit of Warcraft as possible, thus we do not write our Lore. We adventure within the Warcraft setting - were it something else that we were playing it, the purpose would be defeated. That's not to say that on a small scale we do not impact the world or form our own storylines, but there is no conquest that does not fit into Blizzard's lore, and truly major events follow the occurrences outlined by Blizz.

Things like Noble Houses, Skirmishes, small-scale military conflicts, even a rebellion or two all are achievable, given enough support. But there's no way in fel an entire race will change an aspect of themselves, or be wiped out or anything of the sort.

Long IC bonds are what we strive for, more often than not. Don't let the occasional bout of tavern RP discourage you, some incredibly long and meaningful storylines can be forged on CoTH. Oh, and thanks for the story! And, more Orcs are always welcome, as our benevolent overlords would attest.

But hey, if you need any more help or have any more questions, feel free to PM a GM or Forum Helper like yours truly. Seriously. PMs never killed anyone... yet.

See you around!

Orcs? I'll roughly quote Grakor and say that 'I am of the belief that there can never be enough orcs'. Welcome aboard, pal! :D
