According to ye old Wikipedia the most common reactions to spiders are irrational. Fear, sweating, panic, disgust, obsessive compulsive disorder. All unwarranted in most cases. Do you agree?
If not, you certainly wouldn't be alone. Anything with eight legs, fangs and four sets of eyes can't be trusted, at least in my opinion. Pretty much the only thing they are good for is the plot to a cheesy make-out movie. And perhaps, some groovy adventure RP led by a CotH nub. /waggle
Setting: Hellscream's orcs continue to push further into Ashenvale than Thrall ever dreamed. His methods are brutal, sadistic and unfortunately, successful. To their credit the Kaldorei continue to put up a fight inspite of being outnumbered and some allies have joined them in the defense of their woodlands. However, as disturbing as the new horde is, they are not the only threat to Ashenvale. The recent volcanic eruption, elemental unrest, Twilight cultist activity near the coast, as well as those damn naga all add to the stress. It is no wonder that a party of adventurers end up seeking shelter. Their respite is short lived however, as the cave they have chosen to enter has a host of creepy crawlies. It is dark, it is damp, and it is crowded.

Where: In character, the cave is located in Ashenvale. Out of character it is the cute little spider cave in Shadowglen. Remember that pansy Iverron you had to save as a newbie in vanilla? Yeah, that cave.
When: 06/01/2013 1:00 ST or later; Think of it like an afternoon tea.
This silly little idea came up during some casual RP tonight and I want to see it come to fruition. Characters from either faction are welcome as long as Horde vs Alliance does not become a hindrance. I am all for the war, but I am not ready to take on players pitted against one another. And to be frank, I doubt I will ever be.
I want to keep the group small, since it will be my first time "storytelling" on CotH. Lag is also an issue for me in large groups. So, in the event there is some interest other than the friends I can guilt into coming, please RSVP.
There won't be any fancy elite mobs to maim, just your regular run of the mill spiders so even though you the player can one shot Githyiss the Vile into Outland, your character cannot. Savvy?
Most of the plot will be driven by what your characters do. When there is combat it will be turn driven and based upon rolls, however since this is casual, I reserve the right to allow lulzy stuff to fly. Those experienced in hosting events on CotH are more than welcome to give me advice.
