Restoring Stormwind

The great Cataclysm has ravaged our world, my fellow citizens of the Alliance. Our great capital of Stormwind City, the last true bastion of safety for humanity in the Alliance, was attacked directly by the Dragon himself, and all of our outlying townships and counties have fallen into dark times once again.
However, we will not let this stand! Months have passed, and now with our city being rebuilt, our resolve stronger, and our wills hardened, we will direct the sword of justice against all threats which encroach on our homes and endanger our families, our friends, and our kinsmen! Sound the Lion Horn, for soon we march! For the Alliance! For the Light! For our People!

The Northshire Campaign
The Northshire Campaign is the first in a series of event chains that will be focused around the Stormwind continent region (Elwynn, Westfall, Duskwood, Redridge) where brave and noble protectors of the Alliance (as well as any Alliance-loyal mercs and whatever else) will come to the aid of Stormwind's people and not only fight the domestic threats they face, but also extend alms and hospitality to those affected by the devastation and help rebuild their lives. We seek not only to destroy danger, but to rebuild civilization as well.
And the first on the list is Northshire Abbey! In the wake of the Cataclysm, the vile and disgusting Blackrock Orcs have descended from the mountains to raid the peaceful religious site. Already the vineyards have been burned, and the Stormwind guard is on their toes to keep them from advancing across the river. We must gather our forces and push forth to rout these brutish monsters back to where they came! If you care for humanity's future, and for the lives of the innocent, then join us on our campaign! The Alliance needs YOU!

Event 1: The Vineyards
The Order of Virtue and Eagle's Valor gathered a large amount of Alliance mercenaries, fighters, and spellcasters willing to fight for the abbey. Aiming to go straight for the root of the problem, the militia had hoped to fight head first through the orcs while the local guard handled the outlying skirmishers and scouts.
However, their efforts were met with tough resistance from the Blackrocks, and after a difficult skirmish were only able to defeat a single warband. Following that, over four dozen more orcs charged at the heroes and drove them back across the river to the Abbey.
One thing is for certain: a change of plans is much needed.
Event 2: Northshire Forest
After two months of back and forth skirmishes between the Blackrock orcs and the Northshire guard, the Order of Virtue and Eagle's Valor finally re-established plans for the security of the abbey. Gathering their members as well as some mercenaries, the willing men and women made plans to break the skirmish and capture goblin spies for interrogation.
However, the situation became a bit more complicated when Sergeant Willem told them of wounded soldiers beyond the front line who needed to be rescued. Unable to loan the manpower himself, the sergeant ordered the party to escort the wounded to safety as they hunted for goblins. The operation was ultimately a success, with only three soldiers losing their lives to their wounds and four goblins being captured for information. Soon, the siege on Northshire will take a turn in the Light's favor!
Event 3: Blackrock Retaliation
A routine day at the Abbey took a turn for the worse with a sudden surprise siege by the Blackrock orcs. Rushing outside at the call of alarm, the local heroes gathered at the abbey assisted the guard in pushing the orcs back and defending the resident merchants and civilians.
However, several more waves came next, and while they were all repressed, the valiant defenders took many wounds and were weakened as they advanced. At last they were met with the ever-present obstacle: the river which separates the abbey from the vineyards, which was now fortified with barricades and manned to the brim with a legion of soldiers. Accepting it for what it was, the abbey defenders stopped there and turned back to mend themselves.
The final battle must come soon, or else an orcish flag will soon fly over Elwynn. The Blackrocks will not wait much longer before launching a final attack.
Event 4: Last Hurrah
Backed up by mounted knights and a dwarven mortar team, the final call to arms to fight the Blackrocks out of Northshire was called! Destroying the barricade and scattering their defenses, the Stormwind guard took the battle to two fronts, with mounted knights charging into the fields to hold off the main force while the defenders of the Abbey went after the warlord Kurtok!
After an ugly skirmish with an ambush and two brutish ogres with more muscles than brains, the defenders finally reached Kurtok and his personal guard, and the final battle ensued. The Alliance emerged victorious, and Sergeant Willem of the Abbey guard ordered the mountain pass to be sealed with mortar fire, blocking off the orcs for good! Rejoice, citizens of Stormwind, for the danger has passed!
