First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:

Firstly and foremostly, I tend to create words that sound fitting or poetic based on the situation (such as foremostly). I do not do this in roleplay, I'm afraid, unless I feel it fits the character I currently play. Alright, perhaps I don't as often as I think, but I couldn't resist using that as a first point. Secondly, I'm not much of an MMO player. I tend to stay away from the things like a plague, to be honest. I'm a roleplayer at heart. That's not to say I've never played an MMO, however. I tried my hand at The Old Republic when it came out, both in search of an RP bastion and a new, satisfying part of the Knights story. Sadly, I found neither there, and left the game only a month after release. I enjoy PlanetSide 2, though it is not an MMORPG. As an general video game player, I tend to enjoy a good narrative over all else now-a-days. I'm also fine with games that do not take themselves seriously at all, but the middle-ground is generally where I find a game lacking. Suffice to say, I'm normally a single-player kind of gamer, with roleplayer being my other usual place in gaming. Some of my favorite game off the top of my head are Deus Ex, Planescape: Torment, and Morrowind.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:

I'm from the United States, with English as my primary language.

How did you get into Warcraft?:

Frankly, I'm not. The only time I ever dabbled in Warcraft was back in 1995, with Warcraft 2. A friend of mine friend was pretty heavily into Warcraft, and I played it a few times. I never absorbed much of the plot, though. Since being introduced to this server, I've started to research the lore of the universe. As for a fantasy universe I have knowledge on, it would have to be Elder Scrolls. Ever since Morrowind, I've loved the strange and psychotic universe that the drunken, addled Kirkbride's mind presents. I would begin to ramble, but I'm sure you don't want to hear about Elder Scrolls on a Warcraft-centric website.

How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:
I found this community because Dug had his Steam game set to "WoW RP," and I was curious about it. Once he explained how he's very pleased with it, and the community is intelligent and mature, I decided to try my hand.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:

I feel Brutalskars put it well enough when saying he enjoys many, if not all kinds of roleplay. I will rarely deny the opportunity for quality roleplay.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:

I have no preference of class as of yet. I feel as though class is more a part of a background than a deciding factor. As for race, it's fairly split. I've done, by far, the most research into the Draenei, as a few of the staffers know. I also enjoy the Trolls. I find it interesting that they were once the dominant race on Azeroth, as well as that they seem to be the predecessor to the elves. I -think- I like Gnomes, but I probably just like the Gnome character I have in mind. The Tauren have most of my support, but I feel I would only ever roleplay one if the character was neutral to the absurd war between the Horde and Alliance, and could travel freely between them, without aiding either against the other.

What are your expectations of this server?:

I simply wish to enjoy quality roleplay. As I understand, the community takes a quality over quantity stance, of which I greatly appreciate, despite the minor inconveniences it brings.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:

Knowing the history. I feel an uneducated roleplayer is simply going to cause canonical issues. If you ask Dug about how I feel about canon, he'll likely say I'm an over-zealous madman, though in his own Dug-like manner. I acknowledge that I probably am, but consistent canon truly is the foundation for a good universe in my eyes, and a poor universe will only bring poor roleplay.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

*Alright, so I initially was just going to write my background here. However, a few things haven't quite been working out. Firstly, I don't have the information I require, and the information I wish to place in the blanks may not be suitable without staffer approval. Secondly, a friend has been asking me to just post the introduction, and I have to agree that I'm getting fairly impatient with myself. As far as I can tell, the only way I can actually bounce these ideas off a staffer in an IM-environment is in-game, so it makes sense to write the background later, and just create a few "test" characters for now, so I can explore the world I'm writing myself in to, and get a better feel for the scope of it. Not only that, but I can actually gain some interactive maps, and write the story accordingly. So, while I'm holding back a story for now, as soon as I can get everything (much more easily) confirmed, and have free time, I will write the story I intended to write, and keep it for later use. *

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:

Yes, but it would be a very long list that I near-adamantly feel would be better in an IM discussion as opposed to a forum discussion.

Also, if any of this comes off as if it is in hostile tone (as, re-reading it, some of it does seem as such), apologies. I'm simply too blunt for my own good.

Hello there, Line! Welcome to Conquest of the Horde!

Glad to see that you finally applied, another-friend-of-Dug! He's been mass-recruiting, evidently. I hope you all will enjoy yourselves here since y'all seem like an interesting and refreshing bunch! (Never be afraid to ask questions. You can also easily access IMs of most GMs through their forum profile. My Skype is supposed to be displayed below, and if that doesn't work you can just search "loxmardin" and see what you find. ;))

Remember to register your in-game account in the Account Management page with the exact information you registered your forum name under.

As per standard approval procedure, I'm going to link you to a few nice places that it certainly doesn't hurt if you double-check and make yourself extra familiar with. These are the Rules and Policies, as well as the FAQs. They've got a bunch of vital information in them.

Without further ado, welcome to the server and I hope we'll see you around!

Happy RPing!

Love,
GM Loxmardin
