Ambertide says "sup"(Introduction)

First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
Well, I've been playing warcraft for far too long, but I've only been legitimately roleplaying for about 4 &1/2 years, on and off retail and other private servers.
Aside from WoW, I enjoy a few other games over many genres (Dark Souls, Halo, Dead Space, various other MMO's, etc). WoW is about the only game I enjoy roleplaying in. I've got a keen interest in the lore, plus dwarves.

DWARVES.

Anyway, I consider myself friendly and able to hold a conversation with most people, though words sometimes don't travel well over text and my jokes are sometimes interpreted as offensive (My country has a weird culture).

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I'm from New Zealand, and here we speak English

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Funny story actually, my friend was an avid RTS player for years, I constantly gave him shite about it. One day, my computer up and died so I invited myself over to his house and started watching him play WC3.
I thought it was boring at first, and at the time I was really into this one flash based rpg for some reason. SO when I wasn't playing that game, I'd watch him play WC3 online against other nerds of his caliber and slowly begun to enjoy it.

A few months later, WoW came out. I started talking to the aforementioned friend about the game and lied to him that I had purchased it and was playing it.
At the time I was busy with school and didn't actually have an internet connection, so he ended up playing WoW without me for about a year and a half.
Eventually I joined in late BC just as he was quitting (ironically, this is when he says the game went down hill (thanks buddy).

My adventures took me across many realms on retail, and eventually I wound up on Moon Guard, and that's where I began roleplaying.
(At the time I had no idea what roleplaying was, I believed it was classes playing their iconic roles, i.e warriors as tanks, paladins as healers etc).

How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:
A friend of mine I met on Moon Guard directed me here, a while ago he played on the server but left due to other circumstances.
He explained the quality that's expected of the roleplayers here and naturally I had to investigate myself.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Full Mature multi paragraph atheist college rp.
lol

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I love playing Dwarves because for some reason they just come so naturally to me. Balancing a rich history and heritage with general badassery and (in my mains case) searing attitude is both rewarding and fun. For the whole family!

What are your expectations of this server?:
Well, so far from what I've been told from my friend (who sometimes isn't the most reliable) I'm expecting a little bit of elitisim.

But that's not always a bad thing, teee heeee

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
I like how you have to interact on the forums before in game. It's like forcing people to be accountable for being an idiot before they can do it.
10/10 would apply again.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Yora sat on the cold steps of the Thunderbrew Distillery, looking out over the bustle of Kharanos to the soft, sparsely dotted pine forest on the outskirts of the small town. Gentle legions of snowflakes fell from the sky, dotting the rich green pine needles in a white powder. Lumps of the stuff would form on the branches and come cascading down every so often. She sighed, not sure whether she could properly appreciate the apparent beauty of the scene with so much going on in the world.

The Horde and Alliance were at war, seemingly, and she was sitting here guarding a small, fairly unrecognized brewery, in her opinion.

Sure, farm dwarves have their loyalties to certain breweries, and this was not hers.
But it's her orders, and these days duty comes before pride. She rose, picking up her silvery polished war hammer, and clasping it onto her back with a click. Scuffing her boots on the snow packed cobblestones outside the distillery, she made off towards the Gryphon roost to make sure the lookouts were still there. The hourly patrol. She knew it well. But only because of how boring and uneventful it was. "I'm not bloody gonna be young forever... Been weeks since th' Frostmane bothered to muster up another raid!" She huffed in frustration, passing the gryphon roost.

"Oi, Wouldn't ye just love a good ol' melee with the trolls, lad?" She perked an eye brow at the Gryphon master as she inquired. He was huddled up in one of the empty roosts, covered head to toe in furs and feathers. "Bloody hell woman. I've no time fer fightin' when I'm freezin' my arse off! Can't wait ta get back ta th' Aerie! Feck ye Bronzebeards and yer snow!" Yora chuckled, extending a glove towards the dwarf. "I take it ye just relieved th' last sodden prick who was just here tendin' th' roost?" "Aye" The Wildhammer replied, shivering as he received her handshake, grinning. "Never in my life 'ave I been this cold! Th' bloody Aerie is closer ta mountains than ye lot and not a lick o' snow! Come down 'ere fer 3 days an' the beer in me flask has already frozen!"

Yora grinned, pointing to the brewery behind her with her thumb. "Try some o' the Thunderbrew, lad. It's like drinkin' th' clan's sockwater mixed with ram piss. But it wont freeze!" She cackled, moving back onto the road. "See ye again in an hour, lad. That is if ye haven't joined yer beer!"

"Yeah, yeah! off with ye!" snarled the gryphon master, hardly keeping back a grin as the golden haired paladin wandered off.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
It's hard to figure out paragraphs in this tiny forum box, SORRY
