Uniir's Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
Experiencing all aspects of MMORPGs has always been an interest of mine. I find myself PvPing one day, Roleplaying the next, and questing the following day. There is little I don't enjoy when it comes to being able to relax in front of a collection of pixels.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I'm a dutchman from the United States -- my primary language is English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
I began playing shortly after WoW's release -- it was just another interesting game to try. I've played it on and off ever since.

How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:
I've looked into the server before, but I never jumped in. With my recent craving to get back into reading and writing, my wish to role play has also reemerged. This particular server seems to have quite a track record, as well as active contributors and staff. That, I feel, is key to a quality experience.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Generally I prefer political intrigue, tavern chats, and perhaps a bit of handiwork. That is, I generally enjoy playing as a craftsman or farmhand that has little to no clout, but is often attempting to better the circumstances around him through verbal interaction with others.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
The human warrior combination is my norm, though I also enjoy the Forsaken warrior.

What are your expectations of this server?:
Simply that the server is place for roleplayers to meet each other and immerse themselves in voluntary interactions.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
I like most of the rules in their entirety, and have no problems complying with any of them. I particularly approve (and appreciate) the statement made about humility:

"When coming up with a story for your character, remember this. Other people may not get involved. Other people may not care. Other people may not comply. Part of being a mature player is recognizing when your character isn't supposed to be the center of attention."

All too often, I've run into those that feel that they are the best thing since sliced bread, and I find myself shying away from any roleplay involved. I've always been a casual player, and will remain so. Thus, I tend to frown upon the overly dramatic.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

Thwak!

"Oh-hoh! Looks like we've a regular marksman on our hands."

The old man hobbled forward, stooping slightly to examine the arrow embedded in the tree stump. With his brow furled, he turned to the young man who held a small recurve at his side.

Studying the boy, the elderly man began to laugh. The child grumbled something unintelligible under his breath, and made his way forward to retrieve the projectile. It had struck the outer edge of the rough, center circle that was carved into the stump's side.

As the boy began to remove the arrow, the man hobbled his way toward a distant cabin. It was set between a low hill and a small stream, with a thick, green garden at its edge and a small fruit tree on the bank.

Pulling the small wooden door open and making his way inside, he sat down on a chair and -- by the light coming through the single, dirty window -- began to write.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:

I would happily continue the above piece if required, though I'm feeling rather tired at the moment, and thus opt to submit it as-is. I would very much like to be a part of this community, and I thank you for your time and consideration.

Hello there, Uniir! Welcome to Conquest of the Horde!

Remember to register your in-game account in the Account Management page with the exact information you registered your forum name under.

As per standard approval procedure, I'm going to link you to a few nice places that it certainly doesn't hurt if you double-check and make yourself extra familiar with. These are the Rules and Policies, as well as the FAQs. They've got a bunch of vital information in them.

Without further ado, welcome to the server and I hope we'll see you around!

Happy RPing!

Love,
GM Loxmardin
