TheBastard's Introduction.
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
I've been a role player since before I knew what that was. I've loved writing my whole life and since the advent of the MMO it has given me a great resource to share what entertains me with others.

In life I am a farmer and general handyman living near Seattle, WA. I love the outdoors and hiking and camping more than even writing and roleplay!

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
The USA. English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
To date myself, I played Warcraft 1 and have liked most of the titles since. I played WoW on the standard servers for about 3 years and was in a large RP guild with friends. We had some good story lines that went for months and even years at a time.

How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:
I felt like playing a game again after a few years and typed into google WoW RP Server

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Gritty, realistic. I like turning a dungeon crawl into something more with the help of friends. Taking the hidden and underused places in the world and using them for group scenes about any manner of drama and intrigue.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Ive always like the warrior. Nothing fancy, just a man who gets paid to fight. There is always a good way to portray the tragic irony of a normal person who is forced to kill to survive and the effect that has on ones being.

What are your expectations of this server?:
I just want a fair, lightly but effectively moderated place where I can meet some people and help them tell their story and entertain ourselves and others.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Everything listed under the "Humility" rule is exactly what I am all about. Helping other people tell their story, helps you tell yours. Good RP doesn't mean you are always the star. Supporting other people and helping them have a special evening is even more rewarding sometimes.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
How about a poem. It isn't warcraft related but it does illustrate some of the gritty, depth that I like in a good story. I of course, wrote it.

Timid,
On the edge of the world
The sun reaches for our skin
Serenity lay in its first prevailing light
On our village since, has quietly been morning
Whispers of a song of the coming day
A track found itself near the eyes of us all
Which was one of a noble stag
Like a blaze it wound itself toward the woods
Facing it we knew; More glorious was this beast
More than any other we had hunted to this day
For hunting fame, victory and trophy we aspired
We were still before the sun stood high in the sky, up in arms.

And riding on the early mists of the day
We left our village, now hunters become
By that time we were still much off to conquer the forest
To seek our happiness in the wake of the light
Between whispering leave, we ran from tree to tree
Silence,
Their eyes fixed on the trail of the noble beast
There was a sweetness in the air
A smell like lips parting or eyes closing
Like a memory of some love that may have been

It could be seen, in the red and gold light of evening
Framed there, on the crest of the hill ahead
Black nostrils poured out the stags heart heat
Finally we faced him
That magnificent deer
His eyes met ours
Through his ancient antlers
Fell the last light of day
In silent awe we froze
We had come to defeat him
Yet could we have done it?

We stood there, face to face with our god
The air filled with shimmering wonder
Thoughts about hunting and self and fame forgotten
The last of my companions fled both deer and forest
Only I would stay In the eye of the silver stag I saw myself
How strange was what I saw, how strange that I saw
I had been a hunter but now had become more as prey
I could see the beasts lips move in the centuries it took me
To draw my bow, a millenia was a brilliant second
While stars roared overhead I would fail to wither
Fail would I even to die and by no one missed or mourned

He mouthed to me his purpose and it was known
I could feel my flesh begin to change even as the arrow flew
And there, in a world transformed by those ages
I looked down on the body of a man, red with what was life
Now I was left to walk on my shrinking world
A crown of antlers would bring the next hunter helpless to me.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:

I hope to see some of you in the world and that we can get into some hilarious, dangerous or clever situations together!

Odd choice of name! :P
