Ballad of the Farm Beast:

Maereth was her name, a very well armed dame,
She gathered up a group, but definitely not to poop,
‘On to the farm’ she said, ‘so that the undead can do no more harm!’,
Off the group went, ‘til the land they tread was bent.

With her went six, to free the farm some did for kicks,
To their surprise they saw, without many crows to caw,
A good bit of ghosts, for which they had no boasts,
Some worked the field, others saw to that the land would yield.

The dwarf went first, and in his charge he cursed,
For his axe went right through the ghost, for which he now had boast,
Maereth did shout, ‘the Light will aid us in taking them out!’,
And the warrior of Light, a Draenei he was, did bless their blades to fully fight!

The worgen went next, firing a weapon as if from a text,
But the bolt struck the field, and the ghosts did not yield,
To battle they went, the ghosts finding the Light to their ascent,
Kicked and ticked, no longer to the ghosts did the Light constrict.

But in the field was a great big pot, and the thing that rose was no simple dot,
A large and fearsome beast, that looked at the party with eyes of feast,
Did scream its shrill tongue, a song better left unsung,
While brave Maereth did tell, ‘strike him with that bolt like a bell!’

The other dwarf did hop on, at the beast the bolt fell down upon,
Strike it dead center it did, for that bolt did not kid,
Pain only a ghost can feel, was making the party over and keel,
But shut was its cries, when Maereth shouted ‘That thing dies!’

And to the beast they fought, but never was a beast so easily taught,
That when adventure awaits, the heroes will storm the gates,
But no monster will defeat them, for it is they that the heroes condemn,
So the monster was bashed and bruised, and it was utterly confused.

Until came Maereth’s speech, she did say ‘to the heroes I beseech,
Defeat this monster for reasons known, for the safety of children not yet grown!’
For this cry they did charge, ensuring that the monster was no longer at large,
A shrill cry it did cry out, but the heroes did not hear a single pout.

Gone was the monster that haunted, away was the fiend that daunted,
The heroes cheered, knowing for what they volunteered,
And went back to a town called Hearthglen, where rested no man named Ben,
Where they were welcomed as heroes, and definitely not as zeroes!
