The Sort of Aftermath of CoTH Blood Bowl and Time Wasting Prevention
#1
Hello, CoTH people

You have probably noticed me rapidly bumping threads about a tournament I wanted to host called The CoTH Blood Bowl. My first thread, in which I asked people to reply if they were interested in playing Blood Bowl or participating in such an event, got barely enough responses, but I wanted to try host the event and hope everyone would be available anyway.

Apparently, this was not the case.
When the deadline for applying had passed, I had received two applications. Of course the event has to be unfortunately cancelled.

The reason for this is probably pretty clear. Blood Bowl is not a very popular and well known game, so of course there would not be many participants who could actually put time and effort into the event.

To avoid future time-wasting, I would like to know which games most CoTHians have, and if they would be willing to participate in events. Hopefully this question will be better known than my tournament.

Could you reply some common, multiplayer, preferably Steam games that you own and would be willing to play with your fellow CoTHians? By common, multiplayer, preferably Steam games I mean for an example: Chivalry Medieval Warfare, Guns of Icarus Online (Check out Roxas65's thread about Guns of Icarus Online here), maybe Ace of Spades? It's pretty great.

Anyway, I hope to get some info on what you guys would be willing to play so I can host other, more succesful events in the future.

Thanks for reading my ramblings,
Hopefully future event hoster Borrops

Quake Live could be arranged, if there would be enough people willing to participate. It seems fun to shoot everyone to bits in 2 seconds before getting blown up yourself. At least that's what I saw most.

I'd love some sort of arranged event in any of the games I play. I'll leave a list of games I own and would be interested to do something in.

Awesomenauts
Battlefield 3 (I am terrible at this game, but if in a game among friends, who gives a ****.)
Brutal Legend (**** yeah, Brutal Legend tournament)
Burnout Paradise (unlikely, but might as well include it.)
Diablo III (it -does- have PvP albeit unbalanced. Again, unlikely, but might as well add it in.)
Garry's Mod
guardians of Middle-Earth (crappy LoL ripoff, I know, but could be fun.)
Guns of Icarus Online (obviously.)
Just Cause 2: Multiplayer Mod
Killing Floor
League of Legends
Left 4 Dead 2 (Honestly, a filled versus game with cothians in this game would be beyond awesome.)
Mass Effect 3 (sure, only allows for four players at once, but my god is it fun.)
Natural Selection 2
Section 8
Serious Sam 3 (it does allow 16 player co-op after all, lol.)
Sonic & All-stars Racing Transformed
Star Wars Battlefront II (would be the best thing ever)
Transformers: War for Cybertron
Trials Evolution
War of the Roses (never really played it)
Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II (would probably get ass whopped in any sort of tournament, but what the hell.)

That's my steam library and Origin library. I could write my Xbox 360 and PS3 library too, but it'd take longer and I'm not sure that's what we're looking for here.

I could also see myself jumping in on whatever free-to-play game people might wanna have a go in.

Another great game to play with CoTH that everybody will be able to play and probably enjoy!
The game I anticipate most right now!
Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft!
Would be pretty great.
Just sayin'.

For some reason I do not yet have a beta key, but I did the opt-in once more!
Blizzard says that everyone who applied for the beta before the 7th of January will get a beta key sometime before open beta.
So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

Odd. A few weeks ago I was opting into the Reaper of Souls beta and while I was there, I opted into the Hearthstone beta too because why not. I got an email about my beta invitation not an hour later.

I also got HS beta! It's pretty good. Even when you just started, if you know how to create good decks.
