Helllllo, not sure if anyone remembers me (Had an undead named Sudeth and gnome named Dymr) but I used to play on this server 1 - 1 1/2 years ago but stopped playing due to IRL shtuff. I'm looking to come back but I'm nervous about not knowing anybody :x
Can anyone help me or give me advice so I don't just get dropped in the middle of a role-playing ocean? xD

Hi hi! It might be a bit weird, a newbie here welcoming someone from the server's earlier history, but... I'd like to say hello, and welcome back, regardless! I love to see people returning to a community, it means it has done well in the past, which means I can expect a lot of good in the future.
As for RP, I've always found out, in any community... the best way is either to fling yourself right into the middle of that ocean, or gently poke at people from afar to try and string them out for a smaller RP, and gradually work yourself into larger and larger groups. The latter takes more time, but it's a lot more productive for story, and getting your character's name out there a little more. Especially if the people you poke for RP are of the kind who like to rope their friends into progressively larger events. /Guilty!

I've always found it hard for me to jump into roleplaying with people I don't know mostly because I can get socially awkward at times, even online xD. Hopefully I'll be able to change that.

A lot of things have changed since 2012! For example, I returned... I mean, uh, uhhmmm.
Well, on the technical side, a lot of things have been changed. We changed to Cata with the Trinity core (a little buggy), added systems for custom model characters, a more in-depth system for noble characters, mini-cmcs for races like Taunka, Mag'har, Dark Iron and stuff, as well as a bunch of other things. The population's slowed down a little since you were active, I'd imagine, but we've got a lot of new things like Hyjal, Redridge event chains and whatnot. Lots of things!

Ask questions! As many as possible! About anything you aren't sure about! Don't over think your first toon if you roll a new one and just throw them into a RP out there~ Don't be afraid to go "Hey guys! I just returned and my typing is slow and rusty. Bear with me!" or something along those lines and if you don't like the toon in the end.. No loss, roll another! But above all..
