Robin Williams killed himself today. That's... Genuinely depressing.

It's so unreal.

Robin Williams is one of the few actors that I genuinely respected and whose performances I felt on a personal level.

That's....disturbing. I really liked Robin Williams both as a person and as an actor.

Mr. Williams was a man of infinite humor and what seemed to be patience. He pretended to be different characters not only to help us find out who we really are, but to hide how he felt. We can only take solace in the fact that his death will turn him into a martyr for mental health awareness, and that others can be saved where he was not.

Rest in peace, sir.

I will miss him, as will many others, whereas I'm sure that there are some people who could care less for the loss of such a man. He was great both as an entertainer and a person, it's tragic to see him go in the way that he did; I indeed wish that he could have remained in the realm of the living for some time more, and offer more of his brilliance to the world. Despite my wishes, greed, or whatever you may call it, I still believe that he had lived a very full life, and regardless of how he went out my heart still goes out to the ones close to him.

I know most people know Robin Williams for his comedy and he was a pretty funny guy, but I thought of him more as just a nice, genuine guy who cared for others. From what I've heard from people who have met him, he really did care about other people. He would take time out of his very busy actor/comedian life to sit down and listen to how your life was going and he'd offer advice if he could. His role in Good Will Hunting I feel like is probably how he really was as a person.



It's really hard for me to think that someone like that is gone from our world.

Nobody has an understanding of depression quite like a person who has it. It's admirable to go out of your way to make sure others don't feel the way you do. I wonder if he knew how many people he really helped.
