Hello!

First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player: I've been in alot of gaming communities and community is one of the most important things for me in any game. If I feel like a 'stranger' so to speak, then I usually don't stick around for very long. I'm not much of a writer like most role players, meaning I don't like to write stories by myself instead of interacting with other people in a world. Some people say im good at writing but I've always been pretty insecure about it. I like many different genres of video games but my favorites are Strategy, and RPGs. My favorite game of all time is without a doubt Dark Souls, because of it's small and amazing community that really has changed my life, and it's beautiful, creative, sinister lore. The game is fun even without those things with it's unique PvP mechanics, and if I keep going on about it, i'll rant forever.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?: I used to live in Germany, now in America. My primary language is English. It kinda has to be where I live.

How did you get into Warcraft?: My brother used to play WoW, and the idea being free in such a large world seemed magical to me so when I had the money, I bought a computer and downloaded several games, WoW being one of them, and one of the most anticipated games by me.

How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?: Now I don't want to be insensitive or anything, but I probably would have just skipped this forum would I have found an active 3.3.5a RP community. This one seemed to be the only one with it and I was ready to leave when I found out the main server was on cataclysm. Not because I dont like cataclysm, but because I have a painfully slow internet connection where I am, and redownloading a Cataclysm patch would take me a long time. A very very very long time. I realise you have a 3.3.5a "backup" server but the word backup doesnt really attract me. I'll try to go on it and see if there's anyone there but I suppose i'll have to find a way to update my game.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?: Alot of my characters in SWToR were diplomats for our Sith Empire, so I suppose being part of something official like that would be one of my favorites. Contradicting everything I just said before this, my favorite character (WoW) was actually quite a loner, he only had one true friend and that was a fellow Death Knight. Tavern rp I do from being strictly bored, there's nothing wrong with it I'd just much more prefer doing something with a group rather than flirting with the every day LvL 17 Blood Elf rogue. (Don't take that seriously, I just caught my friend doing that one day, which by the way was really awkward watching, and I find it funny so I use it as an example xD)

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:That would have to be Undead Death Knight. Undeads are just awesome to look at, unless you a zombie then it may be offensive. Death Knights are one of the nooby classes as my brother calls them, but their story and their visual effects/abilities are very cool to me.

What are your expectations of this server?:This is the first time i've tried to join a private server, so I don't know what to expect. I hope it's not too different from the traditional WoW RP I used to do years ago, but I also hope it's a bit more professional (proper grammar, etc), with less trolls than the vanilla servers. Though with the difficulty of actually getting into the server I doubt there will be many trolls.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?: No godmoding, metagaming or powergaming.

I'm sure this rule is extremely common, and i'll probably never say "GM, This guy wont let me stab him.". But just the fact that you guys made this an official rule gives me respect for you. Tired of people saying "I can RP the way I want" or "LvL 17 means Ive been a Rogue for 17 years, and you can't stab me because im too quick.". I mean come on look at that.

Did you know that we have a Mentor Program? It's entirely voluntary and you as a new player can sign up for it right now in your introduction! Are you interested in signing up to be assigned a Mentor? If so, say so here (Please enter at least "Yes" or "No"):I think i'm better learning through experience, I'm a pretty seasoned RPer so that wont be a problem, I suppose I could have someone explain the story of your server down below but thats mostly all I want. It's just awkward for me having a mentor follow me around. So no thanks.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:I knew this would be on here, I know i'm not a bad writer but I still don't feel comfortable doing it by myself so go easy on me xD

This is the story of my Sith Apprentice, Symphonia, passing her final trial on the way to becoming a Sith Lord. (SWToR)

"Stand up, A Sith Lord kneels to no one." Master Lykaas said, looking at Symphonia with a look she knew was a look of disapproval. "I am not a Sith Lord yet, master." Symphonia said innocently.
"And with that kind of ambition you never will be." Lykaas said coldly.
"Now listen to your master and stand, before I make you stand."
Symphonia quickly stood up, with her back straighter than normal giving Lykaas her undivided attention.
"There's a good lass. Now that that is out of the way..." Just then they both heard the sound of the blast doors opening, Lykaas's eyes shifted from her to the back of the ship, as the sound of boots slowly grew louder and closer, pounding against the unforgiving metal. Symphonia dared not to look away to see who it was. The curiosity bothered her like an unreachable itch.
"There's my favorite demon lady!" The familiar Mandalorian said, giving Symphonia a gentle smack on the behind. Symphonia twitched and her face grew red, strictly from anger and embarrassment.
"You dare intervene with this ritual, Achilles? You know the punishment for interrupting this, do you not?" Lykaas shouted.
"Oh come on, you're a teddy bear, Lykaas. You wouldn't kill me." Achilles said confidently.
"Perhaps not, but my apprentice might." He said looking to Symphonia, who now seemed very distressed, shaking and staring blankly.

"Whats wrong with her?" Achilles asked.
"She isn't possessed by a 'grumpy demon' as you call it. She has a living Sith Spawn controlling her mind, and it is awaken by pure rage. Something you have just given her. The penalty for interrupting this session was death, but i'm not the one sentencing it... She is." He said with a clever smirk.
Achilles ran to Symphonia looking into her eyes, which had now begun dilate at a supernatural rate, until they were completely black. "Symphonia fight it! This isn't you, uh... Well looks like I can't stop it, I better go." He said, The blast doors shut and began running with visible electricity slithering around the edges like snakes.
"Ten thousand." Symphonia said.
Achilles cocked his head.
"Volts. Ten thousand volts running through that door." She said laughing. "And now you."
She raised her arms slowly as lighting shot through them and striked Achilles directly in the chest. He launched backwards into the wall, bending the very metal of the Star Destroyer. Achilles shook his head and grabbed his blasters, "Wrong move, demon lady." He said, flicking the guns to Rapid Fire mode. He aimed and fired. Symphonia drew her lightsabers and blocked every shot, moving closer to him with impeccable grace.
"But that's impossible, you can't kill me, i'm Mandalore, leader of the Mandalorians the greatest warriors of all t-" Achilles started clawing at his throat finding he was unable to breathe.
Symphonia grew a sinister grin and stepped towards Achilles, grabbing him by the throat and slamming him to the ground. Achilles pulled a vibroknife out of his boot, trying to stab Symphonia but she reacted too quickly and kicked him in the wrist.
Achilles dropped the knife and Symphonia kicked it to the other end of the room. Achilles took the chance and hooked his leg around Symphonia's, tripping her. She landed with a large 'thump', rubbing her head and moaning.
Achilles looked too Lykaas angrily, "She's not going to be a Sith Lord is she, she's going to be a weapon. A weapon for you to use at your leisure. Whatever's inside of her has to be taken out, immediately!"
Lykaas said nothing, glancing at Symphonia as she slowly started to get up. Whatever was inside her seemed to had faded for the moment, she seemed completely conscious.
"Did I knock it out of her?" Achilles asked.
Lykaas turned to him and sighed, "You are an idiot, Mandalore-"
"Calling me by my title, that's new." Achilles said snidely.
"Shut it." Lykaas demanded. "As I was saying... Her test wasn't to kill you, that would have been effortless for the Sith Spawn. Her task was to fight it, the only reason you survived that fight was because she was rebelling against the Spawn, she was holding back. She has learned to conquer it and now will be able to use it whenever she wishes. Almost. With practice she will have full control." Lykaas said walking to Symphonia. He put Sypmhonia's arm around his shoulder, helping her walk to the bar. "Congrats, Kid." Lykaas said, smiling to Symphonia.
She blinked a few times, "I don't understand what just happened." She said quietly
Lykaas nodded, "Yep, maybe a drink will refresh your memory, Lady of the Sith... Gee never thought I'd say that before."

They both laughed and continued on as Achilles looked around the ship, "So now what? What am I supposed to do, tag along with y-"

"NO!" Symphonia shouted. Lykaas laughed at this, "Good to have you back."

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:

Posted it in the wrong area, mate. Gotta throw it into the introduction forum.

Yeah I had a problem with it though, tried to post in the introduction area and it said that I couldn't, this is literally the only place I can post for some reason.

Moved it for ya, @Wilkinson3424

Here's the post the automated introduction bot would've posted for you, if this thread was created here.

Throm'ka, potential recruit!

You have taken a tremendous step with this submission! You will receive an 'official' response in due time, but meanwhile you may wish to ensure you've reviewed the following:
  • Rules (Remember, ignorance is no excuse in the case of rule-breaking! Don't make the Peon Overseers lash you with the whip any more than necessary!)
  • Policies (There are some policies that may be rather uncommon, so if you have not yet checked them then spare a moment to do so!)

Some extra reading that may be of use:
Soon, you should receive a reply to your submission from one of the Peon Overseers informing you of whether you are a suitable candidate for Peonship. Be patient! Just review the above information and a response will come before you know it! As an aside, I think Peon Wilkinson3424 has an... er... 'interesting' ring to it, eh?

And now, for the offical response!

Hi Wilkinson!

I'm JVNemesis, a GM here, and it's my pleasure to welcome you to CotH! As you can probably tell by my avatar, I'm also a fan of praising the sun (though more often I was a darkwraith)! I totally understand feeling shy about writing, too; don't feel pressured to share it before you're ready! You did a good job, though; I'm not terribly familiar with SWTOR lore, but I enjoyed your story.

Also, perhaps the most important part of this little blurb: don’t forget to make an account on the server, so you can actually log in! You can find that here.

When you get your account created, make sure to /join Chat and /join Barrens in-game, as that's where a lot of the OOC chatter between players occurs! Also, if you ever have a question about anything, don't hesitate to PM myself, or anyone with a purple or bright green name. We're here to help!

Enjoy your stay!
