Fishing for an answer? I might have one. Introduction for MnMz.
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
My name is Rob, I'm 20 years old, I'm a college student and I work part time, so I don't get to play games quite as much as I'd like to. Nights and weekends, I play PC quite a bit, but otherwise, not so much. I like playing socially, I enjoy having friends in-game I can chat and game with, and I've been playing WoW since it came out. I currently play on Molten-WoW, but I'm looking to change that.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
The US, and English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Well, I've been playing Blizzard games since I was four or five, '98, '99ish, and I played Warcraft 3 religiously after it came out in '03. When I heard they were going to make an RPG, I made sure to get my copy reserved. The story always drew me in more than anything. The human and undead campaigns in WC3 which show Arthas' fall from grace and subsequent rise to power are one of my favorite stories from games ever.

How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:
Honestly, I was looking for a solid RP server, and the fact that you screen your members is kindof what pulled me in. I'd rather not play with a bunch of people whose sole purpose is to max level, raid like crazy, and teabag my corpse.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Definitely fantasy roleplay.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
I've played alot of human or dwarf paladin, but it doesn't really fit me. I think I might go for an orc or a forsaken, and possibly a spellcaster class, but I'm kindof leaning towards rogue, just for the sake of character development.

What are your expectations of this server?:
To be what the name implies. A world of warcraft, not a world of 12 year olds that think they're funny by ganking all day and all night.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
As I said, the screening process, so we can't simply jump on, troll like mad, and make a new account when we get banned.

Did you know that we have a Mentor Program? It's entirely voluntary and you as a new player can sign up for it right now in your introduction! Are you interested in signing up to be assigned a Mentor? If so, say so here (Please enter at least "Yes" or "No"):
No.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Vidoum sat on the shore, fishing pole in hand, listening to the wind whistle through the gaps in his rotten corpse. Pulling his hook closer, he tore off a chunk of flesh from his thigh, and wrapped it around the hook, piercing it on either end. On the tip, Vidoum laid a piece of Darnassian Bleu, his choice bait back when... well, before. Pulling the cheese past the barb, Vidoum cast out far into the lake. As his line settled into the water, he looked up and down the Shining Strand, and across the lake to Fenris Isle. With nobody around to disturb him, he relaxed and began to think of better times, in better places, in... better health.
Thankfully, such pipe dreams were interrupted by a sudden jerk on his fishing pole. Vidoum sat up straight. This fish was hitting hard. Probably one of those Firefins, but this one felt heavy. The line pulled hard, almost taking the pole right out of his hands, but Vidoum held tight, giving it a hard jerk to set the hook. He'd succeeded, as his quarry immediately started swimming deeper into the lake, taking his hook with him. Vidoum reeled hard, pulling the beast back towards him, stepping back away from the coast with every reel. He backed into his wolf, awakening it with a snarl. Vidoum reached into its saddle and retrieved a small token of the Tauren, and pocketed it before continuing to reel.
This creature was large. He could tell. The line zipped back and forth in the water as the beast tried to free itself, but it could not. Vidoum walked back to the shore, reeling in quickly, when suddenly, the line went slack. Vidoum stopped, confused. The line must have broken. But it was enchanted! A word would be had with his enchantress that evening.
Vidoum sulked as he slowly pulled his line in. Damn this stagnant heat here this season. The fish don't bite and the dead smell terrible.
The line snagged. Vidoum pulled harder. Annoyed, he gave a mighty jerk, but the line held. Vidoum walked up and down the shore to pull it loose, but to no avail. Frustrated, he walked right up to the edge of the water and reeled his line tight, pulling as hard as he could. Two glowing eyes the size of his fists opened up below the murky surface, eyes dilating to the sunlight they'd not seen in maybe decades or more.
Suddenly it was upon him. Launching itself out of the water, covered in moss, ooze, and what looked to be a robe of scales, the monster tackled Vidoum to the ground. The wolf, tethered to a nearby tree, barked repeatedly and pulled against its lead. Vidoum looked into the creature's face, and saw the most horrible Murloc he'd ever encountered. With all his strength, he threw the creature off of him, and as it stood up, he witnessed its terrible visage.
The beast was eight and a half, maybe nine feet tall as it stood up. Jagged teeth the size of a dagger protruded from its mouth, with rotten flesh and scales stuck between them. The monster wore a coat of scales obviously made from the flesh of its own kind, and drew a knife made of fishbone from it.
Vidoum reached into its pocket as the creature advanced, and drew the token. dodging a few swipes with the knife, Vidoum threw the token on the ground with all of his might, creating a loud, powerful
thud followed by a shockwave of force that sent the creature straight to the ground. Dazed, it could only watch as Vidoum stood over it, picking the fallen dagger from the ground, and drove it into its eyesocket.
Shinnick the Cannibal, was to be dinner.

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
Nope, I'm just excited to be here. =)

Throm'ka, potential recruit!

You have taken a tremendous step with this submission! You will receive an 'official' response in due time, but meanwhile you may wish to ensure you've reviewed the following:
  • Rules (Remember, ignorance is no excuse in the case of rule-breaking! Don't make the Peon Overseers lash you with the whip any more than necessary!)
  • Policies (There are some policies that may be rather uncommon, so if you have not yet checked them then spare a moment to do so!)

Some extra reading that may be of use:
Soon, you should receive a reply to your submission from one of the Peon Overseers informing you of whether you are a suitable candidate for Peonship. Be patient! Just review the above information and a response will come before you know it! As an aside, I think Peon MnMz has an... er... 'interesting' ring to it, eh?

Welcome, MnMz!

Apologies for the delay. I happened to skim through your intro on my phone while at work yesterday and thought "That's someone that deserves an approval!" but then summarily forgot about returning after getting home. Fungah!
At any rate, you will certainly be free from folks that have a main intention of raiding, ganking, or tea-bagging! Glad to hear that you got into Warcraft back in the War3 days! It's amazing to think that the original has been around since 2002. I could have sworn I had purchased the expansion for it when I was still in high school, but that's impossible considering the expansion was released in 2003!

Enough of my chattering, though. Next on the agenda is server account creation! Hit the Account Management link in the top left and sign up for a server account - be sure to use the same username and email as here on the forums! If you need further connection info, take a look at the global announcement "Connecting to the Server," though I'm currently in the process of revising that.

Welcome again!

CotH had a Forsaken heyday back in WotlK. Even now, though it's not a particularly popular race any more, we get a lot of great IC discussion on the Forsaken and the nature of Undeath in general if you should choose to roll one.
Well, in my experience, anyway. My current mains are both dead guys. :P

And, as for orcs, they aren't the most popular race, but they are getting more attention these days, between our recent addition of "Mini-CMCs" (Allowing for Mag'har orcs, Taunka and the likes) and the Warlords of Draenor hype getting everyone pumped. Now would be a great time to roll an Orc.

We also have interesting RP opportunities for the classic Alliance paladin-types, so rolling one won't be a sentence to lifelong Grimdark Scarlet stuff.

Any choice is good. Or roll all three!
