When I had appendicitis I waited for nearly seven hours. Mom still says that was one of her most difficult times, watching me like that. It's no fun, but there's people out there who can relate to you and your courage. Keep on keepin' on, Loxxybox.
The true test of his choice lies forward.

My big sis was in a similar situation a few years ago. She got MRSA from a microscope because this (expletive) med student had an infection by his eye that he knew was MRSA and didn't tell anyone nor bothered to clean the microscope eye pad.

She had a tiny abrasion by her eye that got infected, and looked a little red when she came home for a visit. A day later, she was in the hospital. She was there for days. Its a miracle that she didn't lose her eye from the infection's proximity, and doubly so for the doctors guessing on what antibiotics would manage to kill it. If we had had to have given her another round of any other antibiotic that strong, she would have very likely had major liver damage. If it hadn't worked after that, I... Well, I don't even want to express that outcome in words. A week long trip turned into a better part of a month of bedrest for her, but she's okay.

I know what you have gone through because of that, and I know just how overwhelming it is. I don't know the pain personally, but I still have scars from where I hurt myself trying to cook and garden (Mmmm, smexy three-inch butt burn) because I couldn't hardly function from worry. It will get better though. Just be kind to yourself in the meantime.
