Account site for CoTH.

Is it messing up for anyone else? I try to log on to see what players are online, but I'm met with a "Missing Username And/or Password!" screen. I did a password reset, thinking maybe I had forgotten it, but even with the new password I'm still met with the same issue. I can still log on to the server (albeit with the new password), but it won't let me get into the account site.

Do you use Chrome? If so, you may have been afflicted with the same issue as me.
Before changing anything else, if you use Chrome try logging in the Accounts site in Incognito mode and see if that helps.

Oddly enough, it did. Yeah, I use Chrome. I almost think it might be a cookies issue. I haven't really studied web development, though.

Thanks for the tip, nonetheless. Hope this issue will be resolved soon.

Be aware that issue will be affecting you on many sites, not just the Accounts site. So far, it's all working for me by going into the Settings -> Advanced and unchecking the navigation web service, prediction service, predict network actions, automatically send usage/crash reports, and the "Ok Google" options. I've still been fiddling around and re-enabling things to see what exact options it is that causes that issue.
I'm glad I'm not going crazy, because you're the first other person that has mentioned having this same issue.

Hmm. Your recommended setting options aren't fixing the problem. Clearly the issue is related; but either I've got something else messing it up or it's still a unique issue. I'm going to see if clearing the cookies fixes anything.. if not, well, I guess I'm back to Firefox.

...And look at that, it worked. Guess my intuition was right. Yay
I had to do a coarse erase though, removing all cookies in the past week. I don't see any other means. But, anyway, that's what worked for me. If you can find a way to erase specific cookies, I'd hope it fixes it for you too.

I -was- logged in on another computer, though, and the problem didn't arise until after I returned to this one. If you're logged in on other devices, maybe try logging out of those and then into the PC you typically use?

It's interesting because when I was first experiencing it, clearing cache and cookies did not help. Nor did disabling all extensions. That's what prompted me to try unchecking all those options in that area I mentioned which caused things to work again. That's when I started to slowly re-enable options until it started having issues again.

Hm. Certainly interesting. I can't think of any other reason for it to be occuring. Nevertheless, we both seem to have found a solution, or at the least a fix, so I suppose that's enough for the time being. Thanks for your time on this, though!

As an aside, it seems to crop up again after time regardless of options. Now it seems that simply restarting Chrome makes forms work for me for an indefinite period, and then the issue arises again. Let me know if you find a more permanent solution!

Yeah; I'm finding it odd that you're struggling with it even after you're already logged in. It wouldn't allow me to log in when it occurred, but after I deleted the cookies, it's working without failure. I'm guessing you have the issue when you refresh the page to update the player list?
I did send an email to the website master when I was having the issue, before I resolved it on my own. Whether or not they'll ever respond, I'm uncertain. But, hopefully, they might provide insight, should they reply.

Oh, that's me! I'm the webmaster.
The issue I'm having is logging in to various sites if I ever log out. Yes, once logged in, no issues occur. However, if I go to any particular site that I don't stay logged in (like a banking site), the issue may rear up again unless I restart Chrome. Afterwards, it's usually fixed at least for that session.
It's a very strange issue!

Yeah, I'd kinda figured that. I had a thought that maybe the site was owned by a third party.
It's weird to be the master for a webpage and being the only one experiencing returning issues from it, I'd imagine. I can't think of what'd be causing it, though, besides that it may be related to the fact the site is running from your domain. :-/

Well, as I mentioned, it isn't just the Accounts site. It has nothing to do with the site in particular - it's Chrome. I first experienced it with another site and then figured it was just an issue with submitting a POST form or whatever. That's when I tried it in Incognito which caused it to work.
I was just happy to hear that it's not just my computer/browser. I just need to find if there is any potential fixes yet...
