Introduction of Nezakah
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
The calm, friendly and mature one. However, that does not reflect upon my characters. They tend to be all but calm and mature.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
Norway (yeah, a real VIKING!!) and thus, my main language is Norwegian. However, i find my skills in English to be good enough, by far. :D

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Started out with my friends playing World of Warcraft when it first came out back in the days. They of course got me into playing it, and since then i have been playing both World of Warcraft retail and Warcraft 3.

How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:
What dragged me over here was the desire to find more mature and down to earth role play then what you may find (or at least what I could find) on retail servers.

What kinds of role play do you enjoy?:
Variety is key for me. I can get enjoyment from both casual tavern RP, or being entwined in a complex dramatic story line. However, you will not find my characters chasing after demons and dragons. That undertaking do not suit my style, as to speak.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Always been a fan of them elves. However i find myself playing a decent variation of characters and races.

What are your expectations of this server?:
As stated before, i expect this server to bring enhanced role play in a controlled environment. I expect to find dedicated role players of all kinds, and last but not least, i expect to have loads of FUN!

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Maturity and respect is key for me. Without those, i would just go back to retail. (No I wouldn't!!)

Did you know that we have a Mentor Program? It's entirely voluntary and you as a new player can sign up for it right now in your introduction! Are you interested in signing up to be assigned a Mentor? If so, say so here (Please enter at least "Yes" or "No"):
No, but hey, thanks for the offer!

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
The wind was flowing through Olav's dark, long and ghastly brown hair, making it flow through the air like never before. Stormwind was lazily resting in these morning hours, a light fog had moved in over the night, mixing with the sweet smell of dried ale and horse excrement's. He could feel the moisture in his face as he sprinted down the streets, blood pumping through his veins as adrenaline was making it's way into his core.
"HALT!! Your there, stop! MURDERER!!" The guard screamed , falling further and further behind.
Olav could hear the guards heavy plate amour rattle behind him, as the guard struggled to keep up. A wide grin rested upon his lips as he rushed towards the gate. It was so quiet. He could not even hear his own footsteps as the adrenaline was surging through his body, giving what he thought was unhuman speed.
The last thing he remembers is that his cheek rammed into the gravel as he was tackled by the gate keeper. He flew through the air and his face was planted firmly into the ground with a grinding sound as his body quickly halted to a complete stop. He attempted to get up but the guard was quick in action and firmly planted his foot in Olav's stomach. Olav could hear the soft thump as he shortly passed out. When he awoke again, a whole team of guards had gathered, serving him some well placed kicks in his lower areas. He felt is stomach twisting as he looked up. The angry faces of the guards, not even looking at his face. "You fucking animal! You deserve to feeded to the pits!" The guards screamed into his face as he dragged him up. But the man would not stand. Like a sack of whey, the man tumbled to the ground. "GET UP!!" The guard screamed, with a small crack in his voice as he kicked him in the face. The guard took off his helmet and his gloves, attempting to wipe some sweat away from his forehead. He felt damp, the underclothes was sticking to his body. "OK, enough! Bring him inn!" He commanded firmly.
Little did the guard realize, that he himself, had become the murderer.
(Yeah, this is kind of improvised!Beer )

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I will let you know if something comes up!

Throm'ka, potential recruit!

You have taken a tremendous step with this submission! You will receive an 'official' response in due time, but meanwhile you may wish to ensure you've reviewed the following:
  • Rules (Remember, ignorance is no excuse in the case of rule-breaking! Don't make the Peon Overseers lash you with the whip any more than necessary!)
  • Policies (There are some policies that may be rather uncommon, so if you have not yet checked them then spare a moment to do so!)

Some extra reading that may be of use:
Soon, you should receive a reply to your submission from one of the Peon Overseers informing you of whether you are a suitable candidate for Peonship. Be patient! Just review the above information and a response will come before you know it! As an aside, I think Peon Nezakah has an... er... 'interesting' ring to it, eh?

Hello Nezakah, and welcome to COTH!

If you haven’t already, please do make sure to double-check the rules and policies so you’re for sure familiar to the server’s expectations! If you have further questions, I recommend giving this guide a read, as it contains a lot of helpful information for players who are new to the server. Also, if you haven’t already, make sure to register your in-game account in the Account Management page using the same information you registered your forum name under. As for downloading the correct client and other things that you need to do in order to connect, I recommend giving this a read, as I found it very helpful myself when we made the switch to Cataclysm.

As for making your first character, there are a lot of helpful articles and guides for you to read up on in case you don’t fully understand the lore. The wiki also contains helpful tips for making a character and for when you’re writing your first profile, such as scale and height.

When you get your account created, make sure to /join Chat and /join Barrens in-game for if you have any questions not answered in the forums. Additionally, if you have skype and want to connect to the community there, we have an official skype group. For more information, read this thread. Feel free to send me a message if you need any assistance, and I’ll give if a reply as soon as I can! And if not me, any Overseer, GM, or Forum Helper.

I've enjoyed Olav's story so far. A lot of people forget to use imagery in their writing and you use it very well here. I also want to know more about the character now that I've read it. So I'm curious, is he one we'll be seeing you play on the server?

Also, I'll be harsh here, but only for a moment: I noticed you've got a few capitalization errors and spelling mistakes in the introduction, so I'll remind you not to forget to check your spelling and capitalization in game when you RP, since keyboarding skills is one of our rules. You're English as a second/third/etc language, so if you take a little longer than usual, other players should respect that.

You're wanting to have fun as well as being open minded about what you want to roleplay, and so it's my pleasure to introduce you to the community. A fun player is the best player.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy your stay!

Thank you for pointing that out. I have never thought about the fact that I use imagery well in my writing. Great to hear! :D
As for now, he is not ready for rp. However, that might change.

That's not harsh. I know my first language is not English, and I know that I have some spelling issues. Thank you for pointing that out. This is something I constantly seek to improve upon.

I simply can not wait! :D

And I didn't mention it in the generic link-filled part of my introduction response (maybe I should), but if you ever feel that a character isn't ready for RP but you want him or her to be, there's a whole forum dedicated to figuring things out: the workshop forum. I shamelessly advertise it because it also means people can make RP connections - and that's always important when you're new.
