Ilth introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
I'm alongside the more quiet and reserved type; I prefer to play characters that are more observant and withdrawn from a particular scenario, but still offer utterances of wisdom or are perfectly willing to lend spell and bow should they see it truly necessary.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I am from England, and my primary language is well, English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Friends as a young teenager :-)

How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:
I guess I'm just looking for higher quality roleplay, Paragon is currently somewhat sub-par for anything and everything, from casual rp to more long term rp.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I prefer more continuous roleplay, where a story can progress and develop without any sense of urgency or a sense that it is totally static.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
My favourite race/class combination would be the Night Elf Druid, I find the Night Elf character matches my roleplay style well, and I have always had a passion for the druid class - preferably a druid of the Talon (As I am not a huge fan of playing combat-intensive characters, such as Warriors or Rogues.)

What are your expectations of this server?:
To offer a respectful playerbase, but also to expect a feeling of respect in return - It really is a two way street.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
RESPECT by far. I think that without basic respect for one another, there can never be any development or progression to something better.

Did you know that we have a Mentor Program? It's entirely voluntary and you as a new player can sign up for it right now in your introduction! Are you interested in signing up to be assigned a Mentor? If so, say so here (Please enter at least "Yes" or "No"):
No

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
The candles glowed dim, as the dark cavern hummed with an odorous foist that smelt like a mixture of decaying flesh and old, earthy moss. The leather robe clung to his skin, the cavern surprisingly warm for its location - in the distance some otherworldly creature let out a grim cry. Perhaps it hungered, or perhaps it sought the rest of its ill-birthed ilk. Along the worn-rock walls, crude depictions of a winged serpent stood out. The faint sound of water running let him know that there was a source of water nearby, although this mattered not. He had far greater concerns on his mind. He knew that Lady Anacondra lay scheming in this foul pit, he had long dreamed of cleaning the corruption here. Those star-crossed druids that sought to use the power of the Dream to restore life to the Barrens, now found themselves entangled and ensnared by intangible tendrils of corruption and swallowed wholly by a malefic grasp - the grasp of the Nightmare.

Here, now - the wailing caverns would be silenced.

Slowly gliding through the time-forgotten caverns, Calthein spread his wings out, ensuring not a sound was made. From tip to tip, the magnificent Storm-Crow homed in on Anacondra from a distance, melding entirely in the shadows and the eerie silence. The Lady of the fang sat in quiet meditation, serpents slowly slithering over and around her. His eyes glinted with an age-long determination, moving swiftly now - swifter than any wind he had felt rush through his great black plumage. Speed gathering, Calthein hooked up, almost peaking against the cave-roof, and swooped down. Like a streak of black lightning he lashed downwards with a fury seen only by the most seasoned of warriors.

A scream pierced the air.

As a great gore lay on the floor - the remains of her eyeballs - her face scarred with the mark of large talons from her eye sockets up, extending even into her scalp. The rest of her face now unrecognizable compared to that of a Kal'dorei. Calthein had avenged his once living disciple, and Anacondra now lay dead. Finally, things had been put right. Finally, he could rest, and sleep - and once more - he could dream.
Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
If you couldn't tell the story was about a Druid of the Talon avenging his dead student, by killing Lady Anacondra in the Wailing Caverns, as the guilt had left him an insomniac and thus unable to enter the Emerald Dream.

Otherwise, I anticipate looking forward to you soon! Beer

Throm'ka, potential recruit!

You have taken a tremendous step with this submission! You will receive an 'official' response in due time, but meanwhile you may wish to ensure you've reviewed the following:
  • Rules (Remember, ignorance is no excuse in the case of rule-breaking! Don't make the Peon Overseers lash you with the whip any more than necessary!)
  • Policies (There are some policies that may be rather uncommon, so if you have not yet checked them then spare a moment to do so!)

Some extra reading that may be of use:
Soon, you should receive a reply to your submission from one of the Peon Overseers informing you of whether you are a suitable candidate for Peonship. Be patient! Just review the above information and a response will come before you know it! As an aside, I think Peon Ilth has an... er... 'interesting' ring to it, eh?

Hello Ilth, and welcome to COTH!

If you haven’t already, please do make sure to double-check the rules and policies so you’re for sure familiar to the server’s expectations! If you have further questions, I recommend giving this guide a read, as it contains a lot of helpful information for players who are new to the server. Also, if you haven’t already, make sure to register your in-game account in the Account Management page using the same information you registered your forum name under. As for downloading the correct client and other things that you need to do in order to connect, I recommend giving this a read, as I found it very helpful myself when we made the switch to Cataclysm.

As for making your first character, there are a lot of helpful articles and guides for you to read up on in case you don’t fully understand the lore. The wiki also contains helpful tips for making a character and for when you’re writing your first profile, such as scale and height.

When you get your account created, make sure to /join Chat and /join Barrens in-game for if you have any questions not answered in the forums. Additionally, if you have skype and want to connect to the community there, we have an official skype group. For more information, read this thread. Feel free to send me a message if you need any assistance, and I’ll give if a reply as soon as I can! And if not me, any Overseer, GM, or Forum Helper.

It's nice to see a story about Druids of the Talon and the Wailing Caverns, I think it's an overlooked part of the lore but it's one of my favorites for some reason? Maybe it's the dream stuff. Anyways, if you like to play Night Elves you'll be happy to know there are plenty of opportunities for them on the server. Keep a lookout for casual RP and events in Hyjal, they're active!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy your stay!
