Step-by-Step: How to Begin
#1
Step 1: Read over the Rules, FAQs, and Policies in the wiki.

Step 2: Post an introduction. Make sure you read the stickies in the Introductions forum.

Step 3: Once your introduction is approved (you should get an email notification if it was - it may take a few days, though), create a server account by clicking the *Game Account* link in the top-right corner of the forums. Keep in mind the login name and email must match your forum login and email (it's case-sensitive), and please ensure your password is alphanumeric to prevent any issues with logging in.
Note that if you've failed to follow the previous step (posting an introduction in the Introductions forum), you'll receive an error.

Step 4: Read the information on Connecting to the Server as well as information for once you're connected.

Step 5: Read the information on Creating a Character.

Step 6: Get out there and RP!

Step 7: If you like the character you're RPing, write up a profile and post it.

Step 8: RP more! After a month of activity, fill out a Grunt Questionnaire.

Step 9: Profit.

I have some questions regarding Intro approval. When will it be approved? Is there a certain group of GMs that approve it? How do we know if our Intro is denied? Will they just sit there for an indefinite amount of time? I've seen a GM post on an application, and it not having anything to do with approval or disapproval... If these questions have already been asked somewhere and answered, feel free to delete this post and direct me there..If not I would very dearly appreciate it if someone would answer me.

All those questions have been answered elsewhere on the forums. Intros are approved in batches usually by Grakor or Qaza, and if your intro is denied I believe they will post that and then lock your intro. If your intro has been approved then it will be moved to the accepted intros section. I wouldn't worry about it if your intro looks somewhat like the archived ones.

Thanks.. I don't suppose you know where those are, do you? I don't know if mine exactly looks the same...

Should be a sub-category under the introduction section. Two sub-categories to be exact.

To clarify, we do not publicly post denied introductions to preserve the dignity of those denied (as we have nothing personal against them). Instead, we send them a private PM notification. All notifications are exactly the same, and appear as follows:

Subject: Application Denied

Quote:We regret to inform you that we have unanimously decided that you are not a good fit for our server. Your introduction thread has been locked, and you will remain at the visitor rank. Please keep in mind our policy on denied introductions. We cannot provide you with the reason or reasons why your application was denied. We wish you the best of luck in your RP endeavors elsewhere!

This will be sent to denied applicants within a few minutes of deciding that we feel they are not a good fit for the server, as we wish to respect their time and patience.

If the application is approved, then it is posted publicly, in a reply to their original introduction post. It is something to be celebrated! All congratulatory remarks should be made via PMs though, please, so as to leave the thread uncluttered for vouching.

I hope this clarifies the situation a bit!
