Question on Introduction
#1
How long does it generally take for someone to accept an introduction or atleast tell you if its wrong?

This question has been asked several times before, and it's always answered in the same way: it differs. The GMs will look at the introductions when they have the time for it, and out of my experience, they are actually quite quick at dealing with them.

Thanks. I guess I'm just not that patient when trying to get on a server

Ah, don't worry about it. :P

I looked in the Introduction forum, and it seems some introductions have been left for up to a week.
Process of elimination suggests that introductions are checked on a weekly basis.

It's also worth noting that short introductions won't get accepted faster than long ones. So skimping on the text doesn't make it come through faster. On the other hand, while a long introduction gives the GM a better chance to get a feel for your personality and who you are, it will take slightly longer to read.

So, it can go both ways really. But I think we would all rather see too much info in an introduction than too little. It's nice knowing who you play with, or at least to see an intro that seems well-written and thoroughly considered.

A long introduction will not mean it'll take a few days longer to read. If anything, if an intro is either unacceptable or borderline, we'll typically skip it over and leave it up for a few days, hoping the person will get a hint. This is basically our 'warning' that it'll likely be denied if no additions/changes/addendums/etc. are made.
