Calendars/Leveling Dates?
#1
This is just a suggestion or idea that I was thinking about.

I, Cressy Von Cressypants, have been waiting for a week or more to get one of my characters leveled to seventy/eighty so I can get RP gear(Why did Blizzard make all the real druid looking outfits and such all past fifty?!) and help some of the lower levels through some of the lower level instances so they in turn can get some form of RP gear/leveling gear while they wait their turn to gruntship/leveled-ness.

We all know that you GMs have lives(Gasp! That thought should be banished!) and that you aren't on at the same times as we are(Gasp! Another concept that should be banished!)...But!! It would be nice if we could set up a date/time every few weeks so that people can log on and get their levels. Possibly one for our European buddies and one for our American buddies (Sorry you Asian/Australian/othertime zones. I fergot you.).

Part two of this would be...A forum calendar. It would be -sweet- if we could make one on so we can see the lay out of events planned, days we can get our levels/whatever, even if we got an instancing group together(like we had pre-wotlk) and which ones we were doing certain days, or even if we had OOC meet-and-greets, they could all be put together so people do not have to search through the forums to find them. (If there is already one..Then I feel like a dip. :X)

Just suggestions! Take of them as you will.

I actually think that is a brilliant idea. It would take care of all the annoyance of people pestering the ones that are able to give out levels whenever they log on, and would keep everything nice and organized. Perhaps every two weeks or so there could be a leveling day?

Exactly! I really don't like bugging the GMs into leveling me. :/ But if there was just a day that the gms could come on for an hour or so, so we could get it...It might be easier. :D

But GMs work/have lives/friends blah blah.

I second the notion, Cressy's wit and Vrahn's re-statement have covered everything I might have said.

(Vrahn forgot to second it so I take his first-reply-to-an-idea-privilage... )

I see a problem. We'd need a way to freely add events for everyone, but also make it so the whole calender isn't flooded. We couldn't do it so you post in the forums, and the event is added-- Then the forum itself would be HUGELY arranged and possibly disorginized. If it was run by one person, then the person would be overwhelmed with a large amount of requests. This is why, if it's possible, it should be arranged specifically for Peons/Grunts/Heros/GM's/Admins to freely add or remove there own events. Either way, it may become disgruntingly disorginized, with a splash of arguing here and there. If we can come with a plan to thwart these things, I think we're good.

Edit: I agree with Cressy's idea with the leveling/OOC stuff. Unless this is also used for IC events and stuff, then you should pretty much disregard what I said.
