Brogor's Introduction
#1
First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
I'm an Irish player. I take a deep interest in roleplaying as I prefer as much immersion as possible. In the past I have roleplayed primarily on the SA-MP modification for GTA: SA (The two servers Valhalla and LS:RP). I wouldn't really consider myself a relaxed player, I prefer more eventful situations. I believe in creating a good atmosphere to roleplay in and being able to create my own events, even if it is something as small as tavern roleplay, I like to get the most out of it rather than going with the flow. I more of a fella who would feed others depending on what character I'm roleplaying.

What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I'm from Ireland, born and raised. I speak English.

How did you get into Warcraft?:
Bought the game a few weeks back once I began getting bored of the other games I've played. I heard a lot about it and how it was massive compared to other games so I said to myself I'd be a fool if I never tried it. I've loved it since. I play with a few people I know regularly.

What made you seek our server over others?:
Tired of the repetitive PvE. PvP isn't much better, I like to interact with others roleplay wise because that's what I've done mostly during my time on the internet. Someone from the other game I've played explained this to me as well. I like what I've seen so far.

What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
Traveling. Whatever that comes under, nothing beats a good adventure. It could be simple traveling - stopping to make camp, fishing for food, resting after an attack (i.e putting good survival first aid skills to use) or something like coming across pack of hungry Lions in the savanna of The Barrens. The overcome of obstacles. In pairs. Nothing beats two friends creating their own roleplay and roleplaying out their lives traveling the continent.

What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
Orc Warriors. Even though they were/are a shamanistic race I think the savage physical force of thr Orc, being a proud warrior is what suits the race most. I'm not trying to put that across as a reason to go berserk on everything but I'd like to roleplay an Orc Warrior as a future leader with great determination and will, who would lead a group of (his) people through thick and thin, whether it be in the wild or on the battlefield and would serve the Horde as proud as possible. Yet despite this he would have a lot to learn through experience.

What are your expectations of this server?:

High. From what I've read, it's seriously organized with a lot of headstrong roleplayers. It looks like the haven as described on the news column on the index page.

Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Respect. Whether I am to win or lose a certain situation, it wouldn't matter, I'd respect my foe because he's just like me. In the end, it's not whether you do win or lose because ultimately you won because you've created roleplay, which is the primary goal.

Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:

(This story is short because I like to write about actual events that happened to my character. I'll try detail it as best as I can).

A sweltering hot, bright and sunny day. The typical climate of the vast desert-land of Durotar. A young Orc, Brogor, the 5th of many rose from his sleep, only to be greeted by none other than his disciplined father.

"C'mon, get up, we don't have all day. The others will be already picking the apples," grunted the deep-voiced, middle aged hunter, "You should know that by now."

Brogor's father, Brogor Sr. was a well experienced survivalist. The provider of a large family and a true Horde idealist. As savage as he looked and sounded, he cherished his family and hoped someday young Brogor would grow up as his father did; as a great hunter. That wasn't to be the case. Brogor Jr. took an interested in arms and the history of the Orc race, as well as the formation of the Horde, at an early age. He would train nightly with an old hatchet his father crafted on his journeys.

Brogor hastily rose from his sleep, and was standing within a second, facing his father. True discipline. His father eyed him and tilted his head lightly before motioning him to follow. They both walked out of their hut; three of Brogor Jr.'s brothers following and a relatively small wolf his father had tamed as a pet over the years. Carefully stepping out to avoid wakening the rest of the household, they stretched themselves as the naked sun bore down on them. Brogor Sr. clenched his staff tightly before moving toward the vast Durotar lands ahead of them at the Valley of Trials, home to many boars. They, however, were not hunting for boars this morning. No. They had already preserved enough boar meat with salt the previous day. They were going to pick the ripe cactus apples, and hopefully they'd be the first to do so. The four brothers and father scattered the lands as they hurriedly went to pick the apples. Brogor Jr. was the first to spot a cactus with the cactus apples growing from it with his keen eye.

"I got one!" he shouted to his brothers as he quickly scampered to the cactus. He was, however, greeted with an unfriendly shout.

"I saw it first!"

Another young Orc, dressed in a traditional family robe approached Brogor Jr. A young shaman.

"No, I saw it first" hurriedly repeated Brogor as he reached for the apple. It was amazingly swiped instantly by the young shaman. Brogor looked on blankly, his face visibly and gradually turning sour. He didn't know what to do. Either to act maturely as his father taught him or to go with his instinct and attack the other young Orc out of pure rage. After all, it was in his blood. It could've shamed Brogor, bringing trouble within the group of Orcs situated at the Valley. Before he made his mind up, the shaman extended his arm, offering Brogor the apple.

"Here, take it. There's no need to fight over an apple when we're fighting for our lives on this dreaded planet. Fighting ourselves only makes us weaker."

Brogor looked on, bewildered and astonished by his wisdom at such an early age. The young shaman had also studied Orc and Horde history.

"You can call me Raen."

A short smile emerged on Brogor's face as he replied.

"I'm Brogor, then."

The two began to slowly walk back, talking about their common interests, specifically about Orc heritage. They were to become life-long friends, brothers; even family. They were inseparable.

--

The fierce sun dazzled down upon the Valley. A now matured Orc, still young, kneeled in front of his two-sided battle axe; one he acquired from his burning desire to fight for the Horde and one he had practiced with day in day out. He looked at the sharpened edges and at the family crest engraved atop the handle. He took a deep breath and took it into his grasp, moving it up and down as if checking its weight before placing it into the holster on his back. He stepped outside, squinting over the horizon. He approached his father, wolf by his side, who stared proudly at his son. Although he had not turned out as he hoped, he knew his son's determination would bring him great responsibility within the Horde. He placed his hand over his shoulder before moving on.

His life-long friend, Raen, was to accompany him on his travels to Orgrimmar and beyond. He looked over at Brogor Jr., blankly, as he approached him; a traditional and 'priceless' staff by his side, one obtained from his father. They both looked out at the guarded entrance of the Valley before taking their first step. Their first step to greatness, prosperity. Or perhaps into grave danger. They looked at one another whilst moving. That look as if to question: what was to come next?

Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
I'm not sure what the starting region is on this private server for Orcs, so I just guessed it'd be the Valley of Trials, so that's where the story is situated. Raen is a real friend of mine who will be making an application soon as well. We'll be hoping to be journeymen. I being a disciplined but young warrior looking to prove himself whilst Raen being a very nature-sided shamanistic Orc.

If anything is wrong with the story let me know.

Cheers.

I think I like this guy.

You seem alright. Welcome to the server!
As someone wise once said, the important thing is never to be fearless or confident. Most people have more than enough trouble with both. The trick is to fake it, because if you learn to fake it properly, it's the same thing as actually having confidence.
