First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
As a roleplayer, I'm very much a follower as opposed to a leader. I take orders well and do my best to execute them to the best of my ability. As far as roleplaying history goes, I'm quite experienced, been RPing on and off for years. I started on Battle.net and moved from various RP hubs. I used to roleplay on the DominionWoW private realm, but it got shut down and now I'm looking for a new home, hopefully Conquest of the Horde.
What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I come from the United States, and my primary language is English.
How did you get into Warcraft?:
A friend of mine from Battle.net started playing Warcraft hardcore, as in he'd never come on to see the rest of us on Starcraft, so I decided to check it out. Been playing retail since pre-BC, and only recently got into the private realm world of RPing.
What made you seek our server over others?:
I've heard good things about this server from various fellow roleplayers. Many other servers are just too underpopulated, and they claim that this one has a good player base, which is just what I'm looking for! Bit boring to RP with yourself, hehe.
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
I prefer long, story-driven roleplay. I realize this is a broad answer so I'll do my best to narrow it down. On the previous RP server that I was on, my character was part of a military-styled guild. The more we participated in the RP events, we earned status with the guild, and climbed in rank. The higher rank we got, we were allowed to have possession of more of the lower ranks, as in becoming a leader of three and so on. All the while, an opposite military-driven guild grew in rank, and attacked our headquarters often. The higher rank we earned, the more troops we had to have our back in case of these attacks. All in all, I enjoy roleplays where as players, we have something to work and be dedicated for.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
My favorite race/class combination is a human rogue. The reason being for this is that I generally remain neutral with my characters, being evil or good limits your character, whereas a neutral char can pick and choose sides, and humans, historically, have proven to be a very neutral race. I choose rogues because they can fit into nearly any situation, and are a perfect neutral class. They're designed to choose sides depending on what suits them best, and will further their own survival.
What are your expectations of this server?:
My expectations of this server are very simple. I know you're looking for an elaborate answer, but without lying I really only hope that this server has an abundance of roleplayers to RP with, and plenty of guilds to interact with.
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
This very thing appeals to me the most. I like this setup where you have to post on the forum in order to get to 80 with your character, it's a very intelligent idea. We're still allowed to get on the server but not given most of the freedoms without introducing ourselves. It serves, from what I can guess, as a good noob-filter. The "MY NAME IS KISHUBI AND I HAZ KATANA" type won't want to go through this process.
Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Taana's chosen opponent stood no more than ten feet away from her. This particular individual was guilty of nothing other than being born in a dock-city, a very wealthy one at that. The girl's -- along with the other pirates about her's -- orders were to cut down anyone between the dock that the ship had been temporarily harbored at, and the city hall.
With little remorse in her heart, and plenty of determination in her eyes, Taana's agile legs buckled to a croutch, one which lasted only a split second. With the dropped form, the girl could easily catapult herself a great distance, and this is exactly what she did. Legs snapped straight, launching the girl into the air. Once off the ground, her knees tucked themselves beneath her, hands quickly positioning themselves. The left of her two daggers aimed directly for the dumbfounded peasant's throat, that very blade tip leading the charge of her body. The second blade was held behind her, it's life-ripping end similarly aimed for her victim.
The female pirate's flying attack ended suddenly with a blade sunk into the unfortunate man's throat, immediately coating her gloved hand in warm, red fluid. Her body slammed into his own, knees contacting his chest and lower abdomen, the force of her leap knocking him back an extra foot or so before coming down on his back, Taana landing in a kneeling position atop his chest. By the time the two collided with the unyielding ground, the second dagger found it's way inbetween two ribs and into a lung, hungrily sucking the life from this one.
The girl understood very well she didn't need to waste time finishing him off. With a blade-impaled throat and a sliced lung, he hadn't a chance to even cry for a priest, and even if he did, no fancy finger-wiggler would break the lines of a pirate raid to aid this one. Taana's daggers slid from the man with the satisfying sound of muscle and flesh sliding along steel, and stood. She broke off into a run, her eyes making quick work of singling out another target that wasn't already claimed.
