The remains of a gruesome scene left Blood Knights baffled as to what happened in Eversong late last night. At Approximately eight this morning a Farstrider reported in a decapitated body, and what appeared to be a severed troll arm. Blood knights say they believe there were three victims, yet only one body and the troll arm remained. The arm had a snake tattoo on its wrist, and the other victim was later identified as Nezivari Sunfire. Witnesses say they saw the elf check into one of our inns after a brief discussion with a Magistrix. More on the story as the case progresses, Death to All who oppose us.

The site of a gruesome battle is finally reached by a platoon of Blood Knights led under Blood Knight Master Keyainth Sunwind. They found the remains of Blood Knights Gallithel Dawnthorn and Aesh Duskstrider, as well as the body of Adept Tydrian Silverspark. Blood Knight Master Krian Duskbinder and Adept Hyndron Duskstrider are missing, the only survivor is Adapt Velara Dawnthorn.

From an interview with one of the Blood Knight officials, the story is that Master Duskbinder led his patrol in the Ghostlands to follow a distressed woman who cried for help. The lover of the woman was attacked by undead and fled to seek help. Stumbling upon the Blood Knights, Master Duskbinder led the charge to assist his fellow Sin'dorei, regardless of the dangers that the Ghostlands impose.

There the group was betrayed by the woman, who's name is classified, and began a vicious ambush on the party. The attackers were made up of what appeared to be cultists and undead minions, though it was not clarified if they were Scourge align or another faction. The heroes of Silvermoon fought valiantly, but as the knights fell down to the last two elves, Master Krian Duskbinder heroically stood his ground to allow Adept Dusktrider to retreat to inform her superiors of the tragic event. We hope for the best that the missing souls are found in good health and that the fallen are given the highest respects and honor that they deserve. The staff at the Silvermoon Tribune give our condolences to the families of the Blood Knights.

Updates will be listed as the event unfolds.

In a seemingly leaked letter, the house of Scorchblood has adressed a letter towards the Novalight family. The letter was signed and sealed by the head of the house, Vedis Scorchblood. Unfortunately, it seems the courier did a poor job of handling the letter as it somehow ended up in our hands. We offer you now, the contents of the letter.

Quote:
To whichever Novalight might read this, unless you are the head of house, I will politely ask you to pass this onto your patriarch.

Greetings,

I'm uncertain if you truly have a family member such as the one I had found myself acquainted with, but if you do, I would highly suggest a lesson in etiquette. He seemed to show almost no regard for his heritage as well as disdain for our city's politics. If he is not a part of your house, then I would highly advise you to step up your security measures. A simple commoner who flashes the name 'Novalight' like a sheet of paper is hardly befitting, and embarrassing to say the least. Regardless, I hope you can manage to sort out this minor nuisance before it manages to grow. Thank you for your time, and do have a nice day.

Regards, Vedis Scorchblood

While the speaker for the Scorchblood family has stated that they had no intention of this being brought to public attention, we only wonder how the family's courier had managed to 'misplace' the letter into our mailbox. Has the Scorchblood family come up with a new plan for an upper hand in politics? Or was it just a careless blunder on the courier's part? We leave that decision up to you readers!

The Alliance Daily

Outrage sweeps the Kingdom of Stormwind! One of His Majesty's ships, the proud Light's Grace, never arrived to the ports of Stormwind City as it was scheduled to! The ship, a frigate-turned-treasure-ship made the mistake of sailing without its escort vessels, and it is assumed from the wreckage found by divers that the proud vessel was attacked and sunk by pirates, as there is no evidence of the missing King's gold in the wreckage! A public official for the Stormwind Navy stated the following;

Quote:
To the People of Stormwind City and His Majesty's territories

It is under our understanding that the Alliance treasure ship named Light's Grace was sunk presumably this evening. We understand the outrage of the common folk as the Light's Grace carried precious coin meant for the treasury and welfare of the people of the Alliance. However, this is no excuse for disloyalty or outrage against the crown. It is presumed that the captain of the ship mentioned above stubbornly believed that no pirate ship would dare assail an Alliance frigate, and so sailed without escorts. This seems to have been a grave mistake, and Stormwind's navies are prepared to hunt down the pirates who did this and recover the King's gold. In the meantime until further news of this incident is discovered, His Majesty's commanders warn any naval passengers or independent captains to be wary of the waters they tread.

King's Honor, and may the Light bless us all in this tragic event.

Does this mean we may face a new enemy from Booty Bay? The public officials for the Blackwater Raiders revealed rather honestly that the Raiders were not responsible, and that it was likely not Southsea or Bloodsail as both pirate groups seem to be smart enough not to assault Alliance vessels. The Raiders reveal that it was likely independent pirates with excellent zeal for their target. Could this mean a resurfacing of fear on the seas? Perhaps the Navy of Stormwind is too stubborn to admit they sent a treasure ship to its doom? We can only know with time's passing! In the meantime, I'd take the advice of the Navy; be wary of where you sail in this new and dangerous time!

Lord Zariel Novalight addresses the claims of the letter that was suspiciously leaked earlier this week about the tact of a supposed Novalight representative. The Nova of the house calls it "suspicious" and "unnecessary" and feels there are more secure ways to contact one of the Houses in Silvermoon. He goes onto say that he "doubts this assailant was actually affiliated with the family. With the current reform of the house they have little time to address such blatant assassinations of character." The reform referring to the multiple shifts in power over the last few years, from the late Lord Jidaeo Novalight to his Son Zariel, then spread amongst the four children. It appears Zariel is sole Nova once more and is working on establishing the house's Stability once more. Nova Zariel Amaru was once accused of Murder of another Noble leader along with a few other claims that were disproven in court. The House has been known for increased participation in philanthropy under Zariel's leadership, and the tragic Sholozar Massacre at their banquet last year. The Nova ends with, "If House Scorchblood wishes to speak to my family. They know where to find us."

An open letter for all the noble houses was received yesterday for us to publish in hopes that it reaches as many as possible. The letter is strange, so we feel, and rather unsettling. We'll leave the readers to decided whether or not this seems like a good thing.

--------------------------

I've grown increasingly disappointed with the inaction that is done on the part of us nobles for our city. We spend our days squabbling needlessly with each other in order to see who has the loudest mouth or the most money to throw around with propaganda against each other. Why? Why do we waste our time with such things when we should be looking out for our people?

I care not what petty hatred you houses have for each other, I care only for what we can do for our city and for the trouble-makers that call it a home. I see knights taking the law wrongfully into their own hands. I see people walk our streets freely after admitting they hate everything their race stands for. I am disgusted by how our people so freely will love the enemy, hug and kiss those of the alliance.

Why do we sit and do nothing about this?

I suggest, my fellow nobles, that we actually start caring about the city and start actively doing something to make it a place we can be proud of. I propose a meeting with the head of each house in which we can not only discuss how we can help the city, but so we can speak to each other on a level floor and perhaps end this childish tension between each house. Magisters are, of course, allowed to come and put in their thoughts as well.

Contact I, the Matron of House Sunfire, so I may come up with a suitable time to arrange such a meeting.

--------------------------

We haven't heard from the house in a long time, not since it's leader disappeared after a visit to one of the Argent Dawn camps. We do know it used to fall under the name of House Risingsun, though it was changed some time after the new Matron took over. Is this house back in action, and why does it embrace the name that an old criminal had? Is there any relation? We suppose only time can tell.

The paper was strangely enough passed around for free on this day. Men and women of the organization were rather frantic to get the news to everyone.

---------------------------------------------

People of Silvermoon, we bring you this urgent news!

Last night, when the moon was high in the sky, the undead in the scar made a surprising and fatal push against the rangers who have fought day and night to keep the broken path safe for passage. We are told that the men and women of the Farstriders fought diligently, but were unable to hold back the wave of undead that forced them back. The path has been taken by the undead once more and the rangers that remain are doing their best to keep the small area behind them, right next to the wall, open so people may freely travel to the ruins.

"We don't know how long we can keep this up." Was the comment from one of the Farstriders, exhausted from the fight. "But for now we beg everyone to remain away from the Scar if they can help it."

A total of five died during the night, several more are in critical condition and even more wounded. The medics claim that most should make a full recovery, while others may not make it in the coming days. This does not mean death, however.

"Some of the wounds are so tainted that not even the priests are able to help. For a few it's just as if...the will is gone. They might not die with the Light on our side, but something in their eyes is just...gone.", reports one of the healers, moments before she went back to work.

How could this have happened?

Recently the Farstriders have been stretched way to thin which is a comment complaint found in their reports back home. Many of them are sent off to fight the nuisance trolls or end up being deployed to other areas by the requests of our allies. Reports claim that there is only a fraction of forces back home compared to other areas and that they just don't have the manpower anymore to do this on their own.

"Those damned Magisters and Blood Knights don't raise a finger to help!" cries Illerian Bloodthrone, now a widow as a result of the attack. "They sit around in their office and don't do a thing to fight for our home! While they're off being pampered and praised or causing trouble in the city while the real army, the Farstriders, are out here dying to defend HOME."

Many of the citizens around her seemed to agree.

No comments were given by either the Magistrey or Blood Knights at the moment. In our frantic attempts to contact someone about this, we happened across a noble who was standing away from the scene.

"Now is not the time to point fingers."Stated Lady Reigen Sunfire before she went on. "Now is the time for action. This outrages the nobles as much as it does anyone else, and rest assured something will be done about it, but it cannot be done by one force alone. Scourge activity has been at an all time high, dreadful for the holiday season, but they care little for the time of the year. Bickering will not bring back loved ones, tragic as this is. I suggest any who want retribution to suit up and be ready for the call."

No other nobles could be reached at the time. We will conduct further interviews in the coming weeks.

We of the Silvermoon Tribune would like to make this clear: THE DEAD SCAR IS NOT SAFE TO BE NEAR. Our hearts go out for the Farstriders and their loved ones.

---------------------------------------------

[This is a lead up to a coming event line. Those involved are encouraged to post their response via 'interviews', letters to the press or general public outrage/support/what have you. The area around the dead scar has been altered in phase 1 to reflect upon this, however you are still able to move back and forth closer to the main city, but is will be considered dangerous.]

Silverfangs to Do Business Again

Lord Leron Silverfang approached publicists today of plans to revitalize his house's militia to defend the people of Silvermoon. When asked why he would work independent of Lady Talah'malanore's efforts, he responded rather confidently. "Lady Talah'malanore has access to resources from my house when and if needed. All she has to do is ask. Our efforts are independent as they always have been and any expeditions I chose to lead my people on are separate of her house." He later explained he planned to send groups of his troops on various missions against Amani, the Scourge, and other possible threats to the Sin'dorei people. "Our resources aren't near as thin as they used to be. Our support from the Novalight and Seregon houses, as well as Lady Talah'malanore's has made this all possible."

Not all news of coming from the Silverfang House has been strictly business. Rumor has it that weddings are being arranged for the young Kyran Silverfang, as well as his grandfather Lenorius Silverfang. The only one to offer any input on the matter what Lenoirus, who had long since been retired as head of the family. "I've been gone from my home for a long time. I hadn't felt I would be accepted back as easily as I was and was certain I would have been kept at arm's length away. But surely enough, I've found my place once more within my home and with my ex-wife-soon-to-be-wife again. As far as Kyran goes? That question has yet to be answered by my son." Lenorius assured our reported that the ceremonies will be private so that no repeat of "whatever happened at [Leron's] wedding" would have a chance to happen.

Ruibarra Silverfang goes against Leron Silverfang's word, press talked to Zeein Drakewing, in charge of the military divisions; only under Lord Ruibarra himself. "Lord Silverfang didn't think the move Leron Silverfang made was wise. So he revoked the call by Leron. We will be aiding Lady Talah'malanore's campaign. Unless word is given by Ruibarra, this will be the course of action we take. We've been prepping for this." Drakewing gave only that reply and then departed. The Silverfang forces will be aiding the campaign. Them being the only military house at the conclave is not only reassuring to the efforts, but essential.

Gnomish Raid Hinterland, Sparks Tension With Centaurs
By the Intrepid and Restless Gnomish Journalist, Fixx Meeriteup!

Several outlets in the hinterlands of Theramore and Dustwallow March have been razed in what seems to be one of the most serious raider threats the town has ever faced! Ever since the arrival of the ship Fortune's Pursuit in our harbor, two roadside taverns and a full guard tower have been looted and burnt down. Several traces on the ground and eyewitness testimony point to a massive metallic mechanostrider, the size of three Tauren packed together into sausages! According to local residents, this machine was never seen before and can move faster than a horse while sundering everything in its path!

The mechanostrider itself was brought to a halt Tuesday with a party consisting of dwarves! Fools have also claimed Horde members helped in the investigation, but this is poor witchery, as we all know the Horde is bent on killing us and they're all stinky poor sods. Inside, five gnomes could operate the giant machine. Sadly Theramore authorities have not disclosed the causes for the attack, but the machine was brought down and salvaged and its gnomish occupants killed!

It is a sad day for Gnomeregan, but a glorious victory for justice and goblins who were seen not only an hour after the fatal blow salvaging whatever they could find from the ruins of the strider. Ratchet Stock Exchange prices on cogs and gnomish mechanostriders device have plumeeted ever since then!
Allons-y!

Officials are finally able to release all of the information regarding the tragedy of the noble family House Sunswell. It appears Lady Reigen Talah'malanore's efforts with the Conclave of Silvermoon are needed more than previously conceived. Sources tell the Tribune that an item, or rune weapon was found by Sunswell explorer Teryian'lyde Sunswell, with the help of a few Magisters and Blood Knights. The Sunswell estate was attacked by presumably a single assailant resulting in the death of over twelve people. "When we got the message we assumed to walk into a battlefield with fleeting assailants, but the estate was empty. Corpse dust remained and only a few bodies, all slashed at vital points. Whoever attacked this place knew what they were doing." Says one of Silvermoon's finest Xarion Sunweave. More information continued to pour in by three eye witnesses of the Magistry. The weapon was there as well as an arcane bomb believed to have gone off devouring much of the evidence but leaving inanimate structure in tact. The three survivors identified the attacker as Lady Vivalyn Ridaken, of the infamous Ridaken Clan. The group in question was unavailable for comment. Ridaken is suspected to be very armed and extremely dangerous, any information will be met with reward. Authorities advice to not approach this person alone.

*Below would be a picture of Vivalyn Ridaken decades ago, while still alive*

The Goldshire Times

Some arcane academies are issuing curfews for students due to a series of murders and missing persons claims being filed over Duskwood, Elwynn and Westfall. All victims have been arcane students, teachers or practitioners and have all disappeared seemingly out of thin air. Although this is one of their coveted abilities none of these people have returned to their families. "It...It doesn't make any sense, Jeremiah loved his family! And he loved his studies, he wouldn't just leave us for no reason!" Says Jeremiah's wife of thirteen years, Anglique Marrow. Authorities are looking into both the crimes and the kidnappings but have found no leads as of yet. Now all practicing arcanists are advised to use extreme caution when walking through these lands. Stormwind intelligence assures us, these crimes aren't connected. More on this story as it develops.

Bandit Raids around Eastvale, House Trevelyan Responsible?

Peasants and villagers have reported being robbed around the road to Eastvale, by bandits baring House Trevelyan's coat of arms and colors. One of the traumatized peasants claimed that the felons who assaulted him wore the same armors of House Trevelyan and also shouted out profanities regarding a silver bird. Others claimed sightings of a hooded man carrying a luxurious rod who was with the bandits during the assaults. House Trevelyan's Chancellor, S. Tresselan, stated that House Trevelyan is not responsible for the attacks. No word has come from the head of House Trevelyan himself, Reginald Trevelyan, whose lack of presence in his estate has risen a few concerns amongst his court.

Raids around Eastvale put to an end!

Peasants and villagers in Elwynn have confirmed that the bandit raids around Eastvale have been put to an end thanks to the efforts of House Trevelyan, who recently sent its garrison to deal with the threat. The culprits of these robberies were none other than the infamous Defias Brotherhood, who Lord Trevelyan had focused in vanquishing throughout several years.

Whitehaven for sale?

The mayor of the Wetlands settlement, Whitehaven, threatens to sell off the small remote town to the leader of the radical organization known as the "Order of the Silver Eagle". This sudden course of action has stirred a panic within House Trevelyan's court, who typically governed the settlement.

The panic has not only spread amongst the nobility, but also within the settlement itself. The residents of Whitehaven are furious at the mayor's sudden decision, some even began throwing rocks and other blunt projectiles into his home.

Lord Reginald Trevelyan responded to the issue stating that there will soon be diplomatic negotiations regarding in resolving the issue in the next following days.

We'll have more on this story as it develops.

Whitehaven's Collapse

Word of the collapse of the settlement known as Whitehaven has emerged earlier this week due to a desperate siege performed by the radical group of terrorists known as the "Silver Eagle". Many of the denizens perished during the attack but Lord Trevelyan and his garrison found success in repelling the invaders.

In the aftermath of the bloodshed, the settlement's watchtower was burnt down, the Church devastated along with the mess hall. Lord Reginald Trevelyan demanded an evacuation as soon as what he claims to be a "dragon" flew down over his settlement and set his house on fire.

On his return to Stormwind, Lord Reginald Trevelyan stated that the survivors were sent to Menethil to seek refuge. The noble also mentioned that he would soon form a conclave to insure that no chaos reproduces in his fief.
