CloudFlare Abuse

I've since emailed the agent in question just to confirm, in addition to shutting off the server and removing access to links that could be viewed as infringing (such as links to download WoW folders, patches, etc).

If you are not already, I would suggest to join the Skype channel, accessible from the sticky in the Off-Topic forum.

This may very well end up being the end of the CotH private WoW server. If anything, I think we've had a pretty good run. Going for over seven years now, I remember when it all started during BC, and most of the activity occurred in Eversong (As Fairbreeze Turns). Before I turn this into some sort of farewell post (I mostly intended to just advise re: the DMCA notice), I'll just say that I will reply with further updates whenever I may happen to get a response or call regarding the email reply I sent.
I want to cry right now.
So this could be the end of CotH? That's upsetting, I wish I had been spending more time on the server now. No chance to move the server elsewhere?

I don't think this is the end of the server, but even if it is, this shall not be the end of the community. Many options are still open as Roleplay venues, from GMOD to personal MUDs and the like.

Think about what you'd personally prefer, and don't worry. Throw up posts in the Personals section for Skype RP in the mean time.

And new users, please don't be scared off. Come hang out with us on Skype and make friends. Play pokemon showdown or something.
Contrary to what Dae said...

I'm all teary-eyed. This is devastating, to say the least.
As if the news weren't devastating enough on their own, my computer crashed and refuses to start. I'm not feeling too good right now.
Dislike button for this post pls.

Edit: But yeah, I'm going to bandwagon with Dae here and say I'd still like to skype RP with you guys. Sure, we won't have models and in-game representation there, but there's always using your imagination so that you might be able to wrap up your storylines.
...If we do have to close up shop...I'm closing every. Single. Character arc I have. Down to the last elf.
Only thing Blizzard managed to do here, is make me hate the fact I got Starcraft 2 and was enjoying Hearthstone so much. I understand they need to protect their brand so it would not become a generic term, but really? Us? Out of all servers who have thousands upon thousands of players playing most dated stuff?

No, bad. Not good. Although it could be good, depending on how you look at it. After all, this may not even be our final form. We may become more powerful than you could ever imagine!

Anyone who wants a hug, let me know. I really wish I could give everyone a hug right now.
I need hugs
I'm new here and we're going down already? This is a shame, but I really did enjoy it here. I'd like to switch to a new medium with you all.
