Welcome!
Lok'Tar! Conquest of the Horde was originally a private World of Warcraft RP community that focused primarily on roleplay within the WoW setting. Originally established in September of 2007, CotH enjoyed a healthy reign of over seven years focused on WoW roleplay. On January 22nd of 2015, a DMCA notice was issued, resulting in a halt of the WoW RP focus. Now, the community has expanded to encompass multiple worlds in various games and settings. This community will serve as a hub for members to join like-minded individuals in any game or environment. The community itself will also host a few game worlds of its own after development progresses enough.
While the dust is settling after the revelation of the WoW server closure, feel free to hang out and see how development goes!

  Currently Testing 3.3.5!

The server is currently running patch 3.3.5, but bear in mind this is a test phase! Either log in with your retail installation of WoW (just change the realmlist and purge your cache) or make a secondary copy of your WoW folder and patch the main one up, if you wish to help test it out.

I'll probably leave it as test status until sometime tomorrow afternoon - hopefully by then I'll have some feedback as far as stability in addition to any new bugs.

  6/25 2:03a - Testing for 3.3.5

Server coming down shortly to update the code for 3.3.5 for testing. Please do not patch up yet if you only have one WoW installation. Estimated downtime is just a few minutes.

  Testing 3.3.5 shortly!

It seems the ArcEmu devs have already updated the code to support 3.3.5, so I'll probably be testing that when I get home from work tonight.

As per usual, when this happens, please do not patch up if you haven't already, YET. I will make another separate thread when I deem it safe to patch up.

  6/23 11:30a - Power Loss
Posted by: Kretol - 06-23-2010, 10:39 AM - Forum: Server Status Updates - Replies (1)

Experiencing an unexpected power loss, though theoretically it shouldn't be down for more than... maybe 15 minutes, hopefully.

Edit: Despite it taking a bit longer than anticipated, server's back up! Woo!

WARNING: Patch 3.3.5 - DO NOT PATCH!
Posted by: Kretol - 06-21-2010, 11:13 PM - Forum: Community News - Replies (2)

DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH

As some folks may be aware, patch 3.3.5 is coming out today (Tuesday, June 22nd). If your realmlist is set to the following:
Code:
set realmlist logon.conquestofthehorde.com
set patchlist logon.conquestofthehorde.com
set realmlistbn ""
set portal us
and you are running the game from Wow.exe, you should have no issues or interruptions with a patch trying to be applied. If you play both retail and here, and wish to continue playing uninterrupted, be sure to create a second WoW folder (if you don't already have one) and only patch up your normal (first) folder!

Remember, it's very obvious when a patch is getting applied. Cancel it if it tries to patch, and double-check (or triple-check!) your WoW shortcut and realmlist.

And, no, I have no idea when we will get patched up.

DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH - DO NOT PATCH
