A Message to GMs
#31
Don't get me wrong. I don't think that the GMs using their own Server is wrong. But it does create the appearence of seperation between the two like-communities. It also fuels, sometimes accurate, sometimes inaccurate, impressions about what actually goes on within the GM section of CotH.

I see where you are coming from, Scout. Though I do agree completely. I also see why there is that 'cold' attitude. They gotta do what they gotta do to make the server go' round.

Quote:Some of us have other things we'd rather be doing, really. Though to be fair, I do agree that more GMs should be working on profiles. The problem becomes that, because we are not paid and this is volunteer work, we can't exactly force them to keep up with the profiles.

I do agree that there are -many- things some of you would rather be doing. I don't really think the 'we arent being paid' care plays off as much as it once did. When you asked them to become a GM, they had the choice to say yes or no, for whatever reasons. That is when they accepted the responsibility. So if they get powers in-game for it. They can do a lil' something something on the forums, yes?

But I do see your side aswell. You do have other things -besides- profiles. I think another problem is the patience. People get their profiles checked. Then someone complains in-game about it.

But that's something else. I see where both sides are coming from. I think though, that it's at a point where it's ok. It's just a little disheartening.

Oh, and finally. I don't agree with keeping this private, Hinbane. This is something everyone should be able to see. No names were dropped. It's a public thing. : But I still love you.

Darksaber, unless you are expressly aware of the dark, demonic and sometimes amoral things we do on the GM side of things, I would ask that you stop fueling inaccurate impressions yourself.

What on earth do you think we do? Sit around at a table and think of ways to make your lives horrible? Purposely sit around and do nothing, laughing at the profiles that stack up in front of us? Go in our GM vent hidey-holes and plan our next stage of attack for bringing the server down?

No.

We think of ways for you to have fun RP.
We think of ways for you to have advanced plotlines.
We think of ways for you to enjoy a better community.
And we think of ways to make you happy. All of you.

I honestly can't understand why some of you think we are just these terrible, awful people. We are here in the first place to form a community that is unlike any other, and if we cannot get to your beloved profile or ticket looked at the MOMENT you type it out, then you will just have to live with it. I was a normal user for over a year before I got GM, so I understand where most of you are coming from, but things now are heaven to what they where back then, so please stop complaining about things that can't be helped.

Thread Locked. If you would like to argue more you are more then able to PM me.
