Other classes?

After reading through the wiki fairly extensively, I've noticed that some of the prestige titles may be used in roleplaying (with very judicious use) - but I do not know the circumstances under which someone is allowed to roleplay them, nor who I would have to speak to for the class-specific training that they require.

Also, if I did fill out a prestige class template once I have fulfilled all requirements, would I simply post it in the 'Character Profiles' section, or would I need explicit permission from a mod first?

For training, if there isn't already a character in existence with that title, you can simply make your own NPC and go through the training process through forum posts.

How to get a prestige character is this:

- Be an active member here for at least two months and be a Grunt.
- Make a profile for a char and get it approved by normal means.
- Send in the prestige template to the GMs.
- Wait for the go-ahead.

However, it'll take either one month for it to be approved after having been submitted ( the template ), or one month from the date of the character's approval, I forget which. <.<

Edit: Oh! And you have to get each forum post approved by the GMs before you can post it.

Thank you very much. I didn't know about the creating of an NPC for training - does that character have to be mod-approved too, or can I just read up on the training of the class and apply that to the posts?

Haha, I've wanted to play a Demon Hunter ever since I was on a retail roleplaying server. Can you tell? :)

I can't say with absolute certainty, but since your forum posts must be GM approved before they can be posted, they're looking at the process you're using for the training, and if they agree with how you're going about the process, then the trainer you invented must be just fine for it.

You should look up everything you can about the Prestige Class you want as that would certainly serve as a good foundation and source of inspiration.

Now, you say you want to make a Demon Hunter... I recall reading an absolutely lovely thread where a fairly old CoTH member went about that same process. The name, unfortunately, escapes me at the moment, but I'm sure it's around here somewhere. Anyone who knows what I'm talking about, if you would be so kind as to give sabrekab a link to that thread, as I'm sure she'd get some good info from there as well.

Good luck with your Demon Hunter adventure! :D

Ha! One quick question on /chat gave me the answer.

Here is the thread I mentioned.

A quick question. Is there a specific GM to send these prestige applications to?
A rose? But I'm still moving, aren't I? This isn't my funeral just yet.

Any GM works, since we just put it up so we all can see it anyway.
