Sylvanas is, and always has been, awesome.
Though I did hate her for breaking that bridge, hiding the keys and all that other crap in Warcraft 3 to make me do extra missions.
Who else thinks Garrosh is going to make an epic fail warchief?

502 FAIL!

And no, Garrosh did not just lose a son. Saurfang did. Don't you ever confuse Saurfang and Garrosh. Ever.

And I think Thrall consumes too much sapta and thinks making Garrosh the Warchief is a good idea while he goes off to save the world as the Guardian of Tirisfal.
Pain is an illusion.

Garrosh is a bro. Character flaws FTW.
☃ This is my snowman. He's there to remind me how much I hate the snow.

I'm probably one of the few people who actually think that Garrosh being Warchief is actually a good thing.

I like Garrosh. I think that he is an interesting character to study, particularly because he is so controversial. When we first met him, he is portrayed as a young orc burdened by the knowledge of his father's actions and perceived betrayal. As a young orc living under this shadow, he pushed himself to be the best and to eventually become the leader of the Mag'har. However, Garrosh is overwhelmed by the prospect that he may repeat his father's mistakes.

It is only after Thrall has informed him of Grom's sacrifice and eventual redemption that Garrosh is able to feel proud of his heritage.

Now, Garrosh is fully grown, but he's still suffering from the burden of the sins of his father. He's still worried that he'll suffer the same lust for power that damned the orcs but also wants to live up to this heroic ideal he's created of his father once learning of Grom's redemption. Keep in mind, too, his perception of the other races since leaving Draenor: he (and the rest of the orcs) was attacked in Theramore, he's learned that his people were placed into internment camps, and generally sees the other races as being weak and belligerent towards the orc -- including their own allies, the Forsaken!

He's a convoluted character with a lot of potential. I'm intrigued to see how he'll act during the events portrayed in Cataclysm and how he'll change from the stimulus. Furthermore, I'm always about the potential for roleplay; since Garrosh is such a controversial choice, think of how our characters may react to his being Warchief! I think that that would be a fun thing to consider.

QFT.
I voted for Saurfang. But that would be unfair, because he'd just cleave everything and we wouldn't have any Alliance to fight.
I really don't see why Thrall didn't put Saurfang in charge, though. He's obviously much better suited for the position. I look at Garrosh's displays in the Ulduar trailer, Argent tournament, and the fiasco at the Broken Front as evidence.
But yeah, Piroska, it should be fun to RP.
Assuming Vol'jin doesn't beat him up. Did anyone else see their dialogue?
Although, Garrosh's new model creeps me out a bit.

Piro I couldn't agree more. My biggest problem is that the "official" lore is total crap. They'll turn him into a 2 dimensional character and play him out as simply a headstrong-got-a-lot-to-prove young orc with anger management issues. In truth, it would put a divide between the horde especially with the Trolls and Tauren.

If they do it right, or at least based on the information I have at hand it would be a very interesting arc, is if he and his supporters ended up splintering off from the horde along with Sylvanas and her crazy-I'm-the-new-much-prettier-Lich-King. That's really the only way I see such a flat character to develop.

I like hyphens.

Knowing Blizzard though, he'll maintain this demeanor, be shoehorned into the role and left there to rot until the next expansion. *yawn*

Garrosh suffers from one problem, his lack of true character development. Oh, don't get me wrong, his character changes, but it doesn't develop, as he's given nothing that actually justifies the radical shifts his character undergoes. It just alters to what the writers need at the time. Observe:

"My dad betrayed all the Horde, and now everyone wants me to lead! I know I'll make the same mistakes. I don't care about anything, I just want to die!" T_T

"Thrall showed me that my dad was a hero! Joyous day! Everything is super!" ^_^

"GRRRRAAAAGH! Kill all Alliance! Thrall is a weak leader!" >_<

"You killed innocent Alliance? KICK YOU OFF A CLIFF!"

This is not logical character progression. This is not logical progression of story. This is not character consistency. This is bad writing. It's hard to like the guy when we don't even know what his character is supposed to freakin' be.

Edit: Should be noted, this isn't anything new. Varian Wrynn and Sylvanas suffer from similar character inconsistencies, but Garrosh is the one that the bad writing is most obvious with.

Well he sticks out like sore thumb because of it. The entire horde storyline hinges on his actions, and he's apparently bipolar with multiple personality syndrome.

Yeah..that pretty much sums it up for me. To be honest, I have a really really big lack of faith for the Horde come Cataclysm. I mean, The Alliance is getting bigger having Gilneas returned to the Alliance as well as a part of Kul Tiras which has been missing since forever. The Horde...are losing leaders, good leaders at that, and gaining Goblins who traditionally have been contracted to the highest bidder. Not only that but alot of Horde territory is getting wtfpwned. Alliance is actually starting to spread out. So, I have little hope for the Horde's survival by the end of Cataclysm.

Well I like the new Sylvanas. It shows that she, in my opinion, is being a good leader and ensuring that her race survives.
