Is it possible to rescind a prestige application?

Exactly like the title says. If I could get a mod yes/no on this, I would be very grateful.

I applied for a prestige some time ago with my character Kenarith (specifically, that of Assassin). This was after reviewing the Wowwiki and other lore sources, but not the CotH wiki.

During the weeks I was waiting, I began to realize that Assassin is a very poor choice for prestige - it really has no inherently interesting aspects to it, character development possibilities, or obtained skills.
Anyone can have similar training without a prestige and take up an assassin's job. So... yeah. Poorly thought-out.

I also grew tired of the character concept I was testing out on her (it was fun for a few weeks. Now, not so much. I prefer her as she is.)

I realized my mistake and so didn't start her storyline. And now, with this pause in between accepting prestiges, I can reflect on the other one I am considering. That way I can prevent anything of the sort from happening again.

So.... yeah. Rambling. I just felt I had to give the backstory on this particular request.

Sure, cancelling an application is fine. But of course, you can't resend one right now as we're closing Prestige applications until we sort some things out.

Just to note to everyone though, even if the temporary closure of prestige apps wasn't in place, you'd still have to wait a while before resubmitting after cancelling an application.
