THE ALLIANCE VOLUNTEER ARMY

The Alliance Volunteer Army was founded by an old mage Sannas Cediah. Being a veteran of the three great wars, Sannas has developed a high sense of loyalty and respect to the ideals of the human race and the Grand Alliance. These ideals inspired him to do something to help the Grand Alliance, so in the year 34 after the great portal has opened, he started working on a paramilitary organisation. It was officially founded in the Northshire Valley, near the road to the Northshire Abbey, where a tournament was held. A week after the ceremony AVA launched it's first and successful scouting mission to Honor Hold. After that it has focused on expansion, training of members and doing small missions to aid residents of Elwynn in any way they could. After a few months of successful operations number of operations and overall activity of the Army has started to hinder, until the point when Sannas decided to leave the organisation and go resolve a personal matter of his, while ordering a complete halt of operations of the Alliance Volunteer Army. An elderly dwarf by the name of Flan Gebur, who joined it's ranks in a first few weeks of it's creation, reached the rank of squad leader, for being one of the few rifleman who joined the army. Later the High Command has decided to promote him to a rank of a commander, for his devotion to the organisation and the cause. After sometime after the leader's departure has passed, Flan could no longer watch the army in this state. After declaring himself the supreme commander of the Alliance Volunteer Army, he has started rebuilding the organisation.

The Alliance Volunteer Army is an organisation dedicated to protecting the Alliance and eradicating it's enemies. Lead by Flan Gebur, they commit tactical and strategical operations against the Horde, the Scourge, the Legion and all others who would want harm to the Alliance of Stormwind. The army is a paramilitary organisation and is no way associated with the official Stormwind army. As such, it works to fulfill it's own agendas, but will respond to the call of the official army if needed. With the faith in the Holy Light, the army conducts missions in all Alliance populated areas, doing resupplying, protection, escorts, espionage, sabotage , minor skirmishes and open combat. The army will engage in military warfare, possibly opening new short term fronts and battlegrounds.I have created the Alliance Volunteer Army to allow Coth players and myself a chance to RP in a Stormwind army like environment because we are not allowed to RP as official army soldiers on Coth, and to create more RP based on Warcraft 3 warfare, which made the franchise popular.

The guild is not based only in Elwynn forest, it operates in all areas where there is at least some presence of Alliance forces (which is the whole of Azeroth and Outland basically) though new members would most probably find themselves in Elwynn, Dun Morogh and Ashenvale.

Members of the Alliance Volunteer Army, as any members of the Grand Alliance, take Pride in their faction which they consider legendary. Members of the Alliance use arcane magic and technology which makes them more learned and sophisticated then most other races of Azeroth. They harness a lot of pride and elitism for their faction, and consider it a movement of magnitude that has not been seen in history of Azeroth till now. Despite the fact that they fought alongside the reformed Horde during the Third war, a large majority of the Alliance members consider horde to be savage. The preset ideals Sannas had in mind when he created the Alliance Volunteer Army are that despite the Alliance being overly peaceful, only trough war can peace be achieved. They consider that orcs do not belong in Azeroth, and being the intruders that they are, they should return to Outland or be destroyed for taking claim of lands that belong to the races of Azeroth. They have also eradicated most of the draenei and are defiling sacred Night elven forests.Trolls have been enemies of the human race for millenias, and being the first enemies initial human communities had to face, humans harness a lot of untrust towards them. Seeing that conflict with trolls of all sorts resumes to these days, it has become obvious that trolls want destruction of humanity and as such should be destroyed. They have also been hostile to dwarfs and gnomes, and have been enemies of the Kaldorei before humans even existed. Sin'dorei have betrayed the Alliance and have resorted to demonic ways and should be destroyed, and their lands give to the rightful ownership of the Quel'dorei. Forsaken are spawns of demons and are against everything humanity stands for. They have taken a hold of ancient human lands, and should be eradicated and lands of Lordaeron should be freed and returned to rightful ownership of the human race. The tauren... just happen to be on the wrong side of the front line. But because they are working with some of the greatest enemies of the Alliance, they also need to be fought. The Burning Legion and the Scourge being the threats to all life on Azeroth should obviously be destroyed.
Just when the world is freed of races with such savagery and wrong ideals can this world prosper. Anything dealing with warlocks and necromancy or anything that is considered unholy by dominant religions of the Alliance is not good in the eyes of AVA soldiers and has no place in this world.
For the Glory of the Grand Alliance!

The first division uses human tactics and gnomish and dwarven technology to outwit the enemy on the battlefield. Some of it's soldiers also apply the use of arcane and Holy Light to either aid their forces or lay waste to enemy lines. Using heavy armor, heavy ranged weapons and firearms, they are strongly based on the Alliance of Lordaeron army of the Third War.

Footman is the most basic unit of the Alliance Volunteer Army. Equipped with heavy armor of not so good production the footman boldly marches into war, keeping a close formation with other footman. Footman is fairly disciplined, and relies on his shield to protect him from the opponents ranged arsenal, as he slowly approaches the enemy, before drawing his simple sword and attacking the enemy with full force. His battle shouts speak of honor, justice and the Light. Despite being much weaker then the average grunt of the Horde, the footman is better equipped, more nimble, and much cheaper. This class choice in the Alliance Volunteer Army can be taken by any race or class who prefers melee heavy armor based combat.
Equipment of a footman:

Imperial Plate Helmet
Imbued Plate Pauldrons
Stormwind Doublet
Imperial Plate Chest
Imperial Plate Belt
Imperial Plate Leggings
Imperial Plate Boots
Imperial Plate Bracers
Knight's gauntlets
Knightly Longsword
Stormwind Guard Shield

Rifleman of the Alliance Volunteer Army are not Rifleman in the traditional sense of that word, that is sharpshooters of the dwarven races who excel in their ability to use rifles and other similar firearms such as snipers and shotguns to fight the enemy. These rifleman are just soldiers that choose to use a rifle as their primary weapon. They carry no armor to allow them greater mobility on the battlefield, and seek remote corners and high grounds to snipe their enemies from there. Despite the dwarfs being the bulk of the original class, anyone who prefers the use of firearms can take this path in the Alliance Volunteer Army. They wear blue hoods and leather armor, and are given a gnomish rifle for their operations.
Equipment of a rifleman:

Azure Silk Hood
Azure Silk cloak
glyphed boots
glyphed belt
glyphed breastplate
glyphed bracers
glyphed leggings
Gnomis Assault Rifle

Archers are pretty much the same as rifleman, but unlike them use more traditional weapons such as bows and crossbows. Despite doing less damage then the rifleman, their weapons provide more accuracy and are easier to reload. This is the class of choice for many humans and night elves. Archers of the Alliance Volunteer Army are given the same outfit as rifleman.
Equipment of an Archer:

Same as rifleman just with a Broken Longbow

Wizards are the spell casters of the Alliance Volunteer Army. With their proficiency in the arts of the arcane, they can do the most damage on the battlefield, but are the most vulnerable. They only wear thin cloth uniforms which allow them great mobility and don't hinder their casting abilities. A smaller army with spell casters can easily defeat a larger one without arcane users, so other units make formations in order to protect their mages.
Equipment of a Wizard:

Royal Headband
Royal Amice
Royal Blouse
Royal Sash
Royal Trousers
Royal boots
Royal Bands
Royal Gloves
Royal Cape
Knightly longsword

Scouts are quick and lightly armored units of the Alliance Volunteer Army, tasked with tactical operations which support the main forces on the battlefield. They scout enemy lands, gather intelligence, assault important targets behind enemy lines, and other similar missions. They wear a light uniform, and are given a sword and a dagger.
Equipment of a scout:

Trickster's Headdress
Trickster's Pauldrons
Trickster's Vest
Trickster's Sash
Trickster's Leggings
Trickster's Boots
Trickster's Bindings
Trickster's Handwraps
Trickster's Cloak

Healers run around in their cloth uniforms which allow them high level of mobility. They either use the powers of the Holy Light, druidic or shamanic powers, or the modern medicine to mend the wounds of the fallen warriors. Most of them are not adept in combat and do not come near the front lines. Their white shoulder pads distinguish from their wizard comrades.
Equipment of a Healer:

Royal Headband
Aurora Mantle
Royal Blouse
Royal Sash
Royal Trousers
Royal boots
Royal Bands
Royal Gloves
Royal Cape
Knightly longsword

WORK IN PROGRESS

The third division of the Alliance Volunteer Army is faction with the AVA codenamed "The Silver Dagger". No one except the members of the Third Division and the High Command know about it's existence. Some of the third division soldiers work as as scouts in The First Division, some have never seen other AVA soldiers, but they know that they serve a purpose. They are members of an organisation within the Alliance Volunteer Army known as the Alliance Auxiliary Intelligence Unit. It pursues the same goals as the Alliance Volunteer Army, but uses spying, infiltrations, secrecy , assassinations, misleading and other such tactics to aid the main forces and to hinder the enemy forces. The main populace and majority of AVA members consider it a battalion within the First Division. Thieves , bandits and others of that level in society consider it to be some idealistic clan of assassins, while in truth they work hard using their "talents" to aid the Grand Alliance. As a secret organisation it does not have a set uniform, but it does have a few ranks with coresponding duties.

Basic unit of AAIU. Scouts can either work within AVA or independently. They function in the same way as normal scouts.

Agents work within AVA, doing missions that are more dangerous and more difficult then those of a scout. They also work on recruitment for AAIU, deciding which people are adequate for joining the Unit. Independent scouts of the Silver Dagger are handled by Agents , to whom the scouts give their reports.

Special agents are the most skilled agents of AAIU. They perform missions of the highest level such as infiltrations and assassinations.

Support units of the Alliance Volunteer Army are those who aid the main forces by using their skills in craftsman professions to create or repair equipment, set up camps, assist with technology , take care of food and similar things, or those who desire to fight and work for money.

A unit based on peasant from Warcraft 3.These can be simple peasants and commoners who gather resources such as wood , food, stone ,ore and water or professional experts who produce weapons , armor and technology for the war effort. They are given basic training in construction so they can help construct camps. They work either voluntarily or for a small pay. They wear a simple training uniform.

Equipment of a Worker:

Royal Blouse
Royal Trousers
Royal Boots
Royal Gloves

This is a sub rank of the worker. They focus mainly on technology used by AVA, such as mines, bombs radios and vehicles. They also work to ensure that gnomish radio technology used by AVA works perfectly.

These are people who desire to fight for money. They don't have chance to advance in ranks and subordinate to the the entire military personnel of the army. They use their own armor in battle.

There are three types of missions in the army, the green, yellow and red level missions.

Green level missions:
This missions include delivery, scouting in relatively safe areas, recruiting, spreading posters and pamphlets, guarding camps and similar. This missions are not very dangerous and threat to life while completing them is minimal.

Yellow level missions:
This are the missions of medium level difficulty. Activities usually performed in this missions are escorting, expeditions, scouting in neutral lands, attacking small enemy parties and enemy caravans. These missions are carefully planned out so that the threat to life is as low as possible but it is still there.

Red level missions:
"A job for heroes." These missions include most daring operations against the enemy such as assassination, scouting in enemy territory, taking strategical resources, invading and raiding enemy outposts, waging open war and so on. There is a risk of death in this missions.

Those who accepts higher level missions and complete them will advance through ranks faster, and will receive access to more expensive equipment.

Players roll 100.
A difference of 50 or a double as high roll counts as a crit which takes two damage, instead of one that normal hit deals.
If a defense roll is by 50 higher then the attack roll, it counts as a counter-attack and a defending player gets chance for an extra attack that round.
HP of the players:
Cloth wearers 4 HP
Leather wearers 5 HP
Mail wearers 7 HP
Plate wearers 10 HP
Ranged users have a + 20 to initiative rolls.

Special powers:

Small grenade
Can be used along with a normal attack, and takes one HP.
Small med kit
Spend a turn to heal yourself for 1 HP.

Battle Shouts
Any soldier can attempt to rally his or hers comrades by shouting a war cry. It will add a roll bonus to all rolls of the whole party for one rounds. The roll increment is:
+5 for Mercenaries, Recruits and Enlisted
+10 for Knights
+15 for Commanders
+20 for Marshals.

The Conquest of the Alliance
The soldier gets enraged and releases his fury upon the enemy.
+20 to attack roll , - 20 to defense roll for one turn. Once per event.
The Glorious Defender
The soldier lowers his focus on attack, and focuses on the defense, as he or she holds the line against the enemy.
-20 to attack roll , + 20 to defense roll for one turn. Once per event.
Also, the DM of the event change the outcome of a roll at any time for the sake of realism and common sense.
Character warnings:
Even though we are a war based guild, character death will not occur without your permission. Your character is not forced to go on Red level mission, but should he or she accept, character warning should be active all the time.

Looks very interesting. I probably would like to join if/when my introduction is accepted. I used to be in an Argent Crusade guild on Moon Guard, so this might be a good fit for my roleplaying style.
