I love what you're doing with the Argents. 10/10 must return for more events.

Hey'a Folks.

I know it hasn't been too long since the last bump of this thread, but I'm in a bit of a pickle and I think I could use a few other voices to help my own. As my fifth year on CotH draws closer (A month and a half away!) I'm starting to turn more and more to myself and finding or, at least, feeling that I haven't really made much progress as a writer. I've been trying to pay a closer eye to how I type, formulate my sentences, and through it all I feel as if I'm paling in comparison to others in some way or another.

So to put it in simpler terms, I'm hoping to get some feedback from you all. Good, comprehensive feedback if that would be possible at all. Because I need help with more than just my writing. I know I need more help. I need to become a better storyteller, a better writer, and a better person in general. So please, if you have any ideas how I might run events, tell me. If you think I could portray a few characters in a more interesting light, tell me.

In a similar vein I want to get more into the community, because I know in my years I've grown far too aloof. On the first page of this thread I have a list of all my characters that are public and playable. If you see one that interests you then poke me sometime, wither it be on skype or in game. More likely than naught I'll be down for some RP.

Thank you for listening to my ramble and have a good day.

My main feedback is in relation to the Argent Crusade. Fenastik has been in the guild for a year now, and this isn't so much in relation to anything that's happened with him ICly (as I'm perfectly content with all that has happened), but more what I've noticed OOCly.

In the year he's been in the guild, I've noticed that advancement within the guid is basically stagnant. I just looked in-game, and you have 1 Commander, 4 Crusader-Champs and only 5 Crusaders, the most recent of which was on 2 months ago. Now, as I said, this isn't a push for Fenastik as I highly doubt he's worthy of a promotion. However, I feel like that is worrying. It gives the player within the Argent Crusade little reason to really try if they're not really going to go anywhere. I mean, in the entire time Fenastik's been in the guild, I've not seen one person promoted from Private to Crusader.

However, as I was typing this, I counted out the number of Privates, which is at a mere seven. And so, I noticed that there's an unproportionally large amount of people within the guild that are Recruits (over half, if all my countings were correct). Now the reasons for this could be varied, but I came up with two main ones.

1) The Argent Crusade is unnecessarily challenging to advance in. Even when someone joins as a Recruit, to really get anywhere they need not only to go through an event that only your character can lead when you feel like it, but wait for a Doctor to show up so they can take a physical exam (something that has historically been an issue, considering how there are both few doctors and IRL issues may stop the doctors from being able to play). While these two trials may have once added to the flavor of RP, I believe now that the two combined act more as a net, unnecessarily limiting the amount of people who can advance within the guild to Private.

2) The guild's kinda bloated. You could choose to act on this or not, but I was noticing a large amount of people that have not been online on their characters in over six months. This isn't so much feedback as the other, unless you choose to act on it.

Either way, the general point I'm trying to get across is that progression in the Argent Crusade guild has become stagnant, and I personally think that's a point of worry. Take this as you will, act on it as you may, but hopefully it is helpful nonetheless.

EDIT: Also, Ausar's not on your character list!

Scroll down, mate, Ausar's there!

1) I do see your point there, though I will say I've done away with the physical exams. As it stands it's not only Krilari who can do the trial either, but also his three Crusader-Champions. For the advancement to Crusader I could, admittedly, loosen up a bit. Generally when I'm looking at the Crusader rank I'm looking for people who have had the drive to log on their own and make RP for the Crusade instead of remaining dependent on the occasional event to RP.

2) Guild is a bit bloated up, yeah. I can stand to clean out a few folks that haven't been around.
