Serious question. Are seasons present in the areas outside where obvious snow and desert are depicted?
Elwynn, Eversong, Ashenvale... do any or all of these experience snowfall in the appropriate season?

I believe it has snowed in Elwynn at some point, I'm not entirely too sure. I'd believe it does snow though.

I would say yes. The climate for Elwynn seems to be such that it would snow there, at the appropriate times. The same would probably go for Mulgore, Darkshore, Ashenvale, Azshara, Thousand Needles, Tirisfal, the Plaguelands... Not sure about Eversong, as it's described as being 'bathed in eternal autumn', or something along those lines, but geographically the Belves could get a good deal of snow.

Actually... I've got a screenshot of snow in Elwynn. I need to find it first, though.

		Concerning snow in Silvermoon.
The Elves have probably messed with the world in Eversong enough that it -is- in fact 'bathed in eternal autumn'.

I have a SS of snow in Hellfire and Silithus. Doesn't change anything.

Yes, but Elwynn looks more like a temperate zone than, say, Durotar, where I have also witnessed snow. So, ICly speaking, it should work.

Assuming Azeroth works, in a way, similar to our own World, I'd say snow in Elwynn would be possible. Looking at it, its weather reminds me of Mediterranean areas, like my own country, Portugal. It does snow there, but not very often outside of mountain areas. So yes, in the coldest months of the years snowing would be a possibility.

I remember hearing somewhere that Eversong woods was crafted by mages, all the nature there was grown through arcane magic, which could have impact on the climate as well.

Yay! Another Portuguese fellow.

About the topic, I... think I see snow particles when in Durotar. Not sure if it's really snow or just my mind confusing it with dust. Anyway, I'd love to see Elwynn covered in snow. About Eversong, I think that it may snow there. Or maybe not. Depends on how much the elves fiddled with the place, I'd say.

Oh sure.. The elves "broke" nature in Eversong... Bah! Nah. Doesn't snow there. As someone pointed out, through arcane magic, the forest was grown, and by that same arcane magic, protected from the more extreme weather patterns. However, sometimes it *does* snow in the Ghostlands. Where the arcane magic has failed. And it also is pretty well blighted too. :P

Shame Blizz never added seasons where possible.

Well with the new terrain phasing capabilities they've introduced with cataclysm, it would be possible in future patches to introduce seasons.

Azshara is exempt from this as well, being in an eternal autumn. It's recorded to have never truly changed seasons since the fall of the queen.
