"Alliance too close for comfort, we need action. Also an end to Horde Traitors!" - Naz'ugg

Naz'ugg, a seasoned veteran of the First, Second, Third and the War in the North was 'almost' engaged in comat today. After a trip to Ratchet to get some gold from the bank was walking back to the Crossroads he encountered something. Something out of the ordinary, a Draenei speaking to Tauren. Though Naz'ugg met two tauren on the walk, he rushed towards the suspicious Draenei, whom was right near the Crossroads! He immediately raised his axe and the strangest action happened from a female Tauren who was talking to the Draenei. "She simply put her staff infront of my blade." says the retired orc grunt. "It was outrageous, the Draenei stood peacefully as the Tauren woman pacified me." apparently that is what happened. The orc went for any other swing, but the female tauren dazed him.

The orc accused the Tauren of being a traitor as a gnome passed, she gestured for the orc to leave in the middle of a dispute. The two tauren who were with Naz'ugg on a walk sided with him, as another couple of tauren sided with the Draenei. Naz'ugg was held back by the Draenei, and the other tauren. But just as things got worse, a tauren with a mask and all green armour popped out of a tree and taunted the orc to attack him.

"Orc! Attack me, don't hurt the Alliance!" said the rogue tauren, cited by Naz'ugg. The taurens were disputing, along with the orc whom was about to slay the Draenei. But instead the 'Alliance' Taurahe allowed the Draenei to ''slip into the nether'' and teleport back to her home. Quickly, the traitors left the scene as the ''Horde'' side left to the Crossroads, which was 25 meters away. This is what Naz'ugg had to say about this whole incident.

"This is outrageous. The Alliance is too close for comfort, we need to take action. We also need a swift end to traitorious cowards! I am retired, but I will always patrol the Barrens. I never seen a Draenei peacefull- A runemaster Draenei talk with supposed Horde Tauren. I am surprised they didn't have Grimtotem markings, or an Alliance tabard!''. So who is the traitors? Is this going to be a common sight?

A New Spark for the Blood Knights
Silvermoon's finest and most dedicated have seen a small surge of recruitment and activity. Even with the far-off wars fading, and skirmishes in Kalimdor erupting, our Masters of the Light continue to show their dedication to our Homeland. From new Initiates to returning Masters, they can be seen training a new generation of Blood Knights in Farstrider Square nearly every day. That is, when they are not keeping the city or the forests safe alongside the Farstriders.

Despite this new ray from our Sun, not everyone appreciates its warmth, unfortunately. Rumors have been spread of misbehavior among their ranks, though so far such accusations seem to rely only on the spiteful word of a misguided mouth and venomous tongue. A trial is rumored to be on its way for the "accused". The Daily Sun is remains certain in Silvermoon's justice for both parties.

The Daily Sun would like to extend its ever-present thanks to the Blood Knights for their service, and wishes the newest platoon the Warmth of Our Eternal Sun.

A Veteran Aids Silvermoon's Future
Word has been caught that a veteran of many of Silvermoon's battles has sought a quiet life of meditation and inner growth by tending to the youths of our fallen in one of the city's orphanages. Hope appears to spring in all corners of the city with our youths cared for by those so loyal to our Homeland.

No names shall be given for the veteran or the orphanage for privacy's sake.

The Daily Sun again wishes to extend its thanks to Silvermoon's defenders from all walks of life.

It's All Fun and Games Until...
A bar scuffle occurred in the Wayfarer's Rest in the early afternoon. Details are unclear at this point, but two odd figures were seen leaving the establishment. A Death Knight, and possibly a mage ally.

The "natural" lust for pain gone out of control? The Death Knight is reported to wear a cruel-bladed scythe.

The Daily Sun, only reporting the true facts, will leave any interpretation to our readers.

Woman found burnt on pyre outside of Goldshire

A scene of civil disturbance turned to that of the macabre today as a zealous man in a hooded robe exclaimed of political activities being run by a warlock conspiracy. Not many were fans of the raving and a soldier wearing the armor of a Knight Captain quickly dispatched to quell the display. The zealot ran and left behind him a burnt female corpse on a pyre. The victim has not yet been identified. Rumor has it that the zealot was not arrested and was seen heading east. Perhaps a different form of corruption has infiltrated the system?

Bloody Justice In Murder Row

Earlier today, a shady figure walked into the Silvermoon City Inn for what would be his last time. After being confronted by Blood Knights Norael and Kostus, Magistrate Tharnul Arinae and House Head Liethel Thurandal, a group which had been tipped off by an anonymous source, the suspicious masked individual was found to have attempted to assassinate Blood Knight Initiate Theiel.

The masked man confessed to attempted murder, and refused to cooperate with the Blood Knights when he was asked to provide the location of the self-exiled Sin'dorei "clan" Ridaken, but gave the small posse valuable information on another case. The man attempted to escape the situation, only to find himself in the unholy grip of Death Knight Iliel. The Noble went to the Guard while the Blood Knights secured the area.

Alas, as the Guard arrived, the masked man grew violent and assaulted the Spellbreaker, the Magistrate and the Noblewoman, the three along with the Death Knight valiantly putting down the outlaw, encasing him in a block of ice at the very end, as the Guardian delivered the finishing blow. The attempted murderer's body was donated to science, his corpse being used as study material for the students taught anatomy and medicine by House Thurandal.

In the words of the Guardian present, "May he serve the Sin'dorei better in death than he did in life."

The Daily Sun would like to once again extend thanks to the Blood Knights, the Magistrate and the Death Knight present, as well as House Thurandal's Co-Leader and the anonymous tipper. Their vigilance kept a criminal from walking the streets.

Guest Teacher at Blood Knight HQ

Commander Thaura Shatterstar of the Shattered Sun Offensive made an appearance earlier in our fair city, on one of her regular visits as a guest teacher of Lightwielding for the Blood Knight Initiates and Adepts that reside in Silvermoon.

The Commander was sadly unavailable for comment, her busy schedule apparently preventing her from spending too much time before returning to duties in Shattrath City.

Farstrider Investigations

After the discovery of a Fel-corrupted patch of land in Troll territory in Eversong by the Magister Duraza Bloodsun's party, and the subsequent purging of the land through fire, an investigation into the source has a few of the Farstriders restless.

The ever-vigilant protectors of our forests have set their keen eyes on the Trolls, in search of further hints to the use of Fel energy or magic, in an effort to prevent the further tainting of our lands by the savage mongrels.

The Daily Sun continues to keep us up to date with anything that may threaten our elven way of life.

[REDACTED]: Mysteries of Alterac

This article has been edited by an SI:7 bureau for reasons of public safety. We here at the Daily Post are more than happy to work alongside them to bring you this story!

Here at the Daily Post we've been receiving multiple reports from civilian contributors, and all of them talk about the same thing. [REDACTED], what our sources say is a small mining town dating back to the second war, founded out in the [REDACTED] mountain range of Alterac. Now, beyond it's founding we've been unable to find consistent sources regarding it's current state. Some say that the town was abandoned after the fall of the neighboring kingdom (despite being a city-state operating under funds of Stormwind) for unspecified reasons. Many sources from Ironforge claim that the region was vacated because [REDACTED], which rendered the town inhospitable and uninhabited afterwords.

Why has there been such a stir about some abandoned mountain village, then? Because [superstition has ran amok, and ghost tales have been circulating regarding the region. Much like the other areas in the Alterac mountains it only houses Ogres and members of the Syndicate, though. Any conflicting statements have been falsified and are merely folklore]. Curious stuff! Keep that in mind next time you fly [REDACTED], and [do not chart a flight over Alterac until further notice].

[We will not cover this story further. Do not send any future reports.]

A few early issues of this article were printed, and scraps can still be found discarded into braziers in the Dwarven District. Even then, they seem to have been marked through excessively to the point of being wholly unreadable.

The Zealot Strikes Again!

Earlier in the week a zealous man was reported to have burned a woman on a pyre and now a man of a similar description has committed an even more egregious crime. The Zealot assaulted a home of an Eastvale family under false suspicion of the family being a coven of warlocks. After slaughtering the three males of the family, all unarmed, The Zealot tied the mother, a Phillis Gille, to a crucifix and set the house on fire for her to die there. Fortunately, Gille was saved by a group of heroic travelers, who all rushed into the house to save the woman. Gille escaped the house with minor burns and cuts and is expected to make a full recovery. Gille reports The Zealot was heading east and a full manhunt has been issued by the authorities. The Zealot has been described as a large man wearing shabby blue robes with a brown hood, he wields a large hammer and is believed to be wearing plate-mail under his robe.

Renewed Forsaken Aggression in Lordaeron?

Visual evidence has recently surfaced depicting a band of undead warriors stood before a burning Alliance tower in Hillsbrad, hanged bodies and mangled corpses in Alliance uniforms clearly visible in the background. This coincides with recent destruction of Woodswatch Tower, a small Alliance outpost in the hills on the Hillsbrad-Silverpine border, in a lightning raid under the cover of night that killed all sixteen soldiers garrisoned there from Southshore. Deflecting initial accusations, Forsaken authorities in the region initially attributed the attack to rogue, unaffiliated elements, likely Syndicate bandits displaced by what they described as 'ongoing irregularities' in the Alterac region.

However, an image of what the Daily Post strongly believes to be Woodswatch Tower in the aftermath of its sacking recently surfaced in an advertisement for a zealous Forsaken militia, dramatically proclaiming themselves the 'Reapers of the Black Harvest', that was featured in a 'neutral', independent publication by the name of 'The Hourglass'. How the Hourglass obtained the image is unknown, but with the broadsheet written and edited by a publicly avowed blood elf, it is unsurprising that a degree of hostility towards our Alliance is found within its pages. The tower in the image has not been firmly identified, and indeed was initially assumed to be some kind of theatrical setpiece due to the quality of the image and how the Forsaken appear to be arranged in poses. However, a recent visit to Hillsbrad by one of the Daily Post's reporters to investigate the destruction of Woodswatch Tower found an eerie correlation between the scene depicted in the pictograph and the wreckage remaining.

Moreover, a scrap of paper bearing the following morbid icon was found at Woodswatch, depicting skulls and crossed scythes stamped with the sigil of Lordaeron.
Are the Forsaken trying to send the Alliance a message? And if so, why aren't we sending one back?

On the next page is a proudly patriotic recruitment ad for the Stormwind Army.

Alliance Aggression Continues in Lordaeron

Evidence has emerged detailing the continual reinforcement of the Stormpike Guard and the League of Arathor by the Alliance. A spokesperson for Her Majesty's Deathstalkers recently revealed, in a conference of concerned citizens in the War Quarter, that several bodies of troops recently withdrawn from the Valiance Expedition in Northrend had, rather than returning home, been redirected to help garrison Alliance-friendly holdings north of the Thandol Span. Furthermore, it has come to light that under the guise of preparation for the 'recapture' of Andorhal, the Argent Crusade has recently permitted another company of Stormwind soldiers to reinforce the garrison holding the Thondroril Bridge. Once again, the Silvercoats make to cede lands that are rightfully Lordaeron's to the southerners.

Deathstalker Zacharias Fallow, recently returned from a mission alongside Ranger-Captain Armalia Shadowstrike, unveiled the discovery before a crowd in the Undercity to general outrage from the populace and calls for a more proactive defence. It seems that discoveries like this are driving more and more Forsaken, usually noncombatants, to take up arms for the defence of the realm, forming irregular militia units to plug the gaps in the unstaffed standing forces of Her Majesty's Deathguard. But when we have little means to replenish our numbers, are these poorly trained citizen-soldiers really the answer to the advance of the Alliance's armies? How can mere militiamen face highly trained soldiers and expect to win without heavy losses, when there are tentative reports of the elite Seventh Legion preparing to gather in Ambermill and Pyrewood? It seems the risk is greater than the reward, but yet more brave patriots of Lordaeron rise to fight every day. The Grand Executor of the Deathguard was not available for comment.

Are we to see a repeat of the attack that coincided with the Wrathgate Insurrection, where the barbarian-king Wrynn struck at us with bloody conquest in his eyes when we were at our weakest? The Hand of Vengeance cannot withdraw from Northrend quickly enough. Our borders are in crisis.

A small square section of advertisement space has been bought up in the corner of one of the following few pages, depicting only a solitary icon and a cryptic slogan.

The Pine Creek Lumber Mill in Elwynn's Green Hills will be renovated this month as part of a town rejuvenation drive
sponsored by Stormwind's Lord Renee Tavish and organized by members of a local political party.

A 'Party' For An Old Mill
By Vita Duke
For The Elwynn Reporter

GREEN HILLS – For eight years the Green Hills Lumber Mill has served as the heart of the town that shares its name.

And now, after nearly a decade of providing steady work for the sleepy Elwynn community, the old mill will be getting a much-needed face-lift thanks to the generosity of one of Stormwind’s nobility, Lord Renée Tavish.

Originally a lumber mill designed to provide timber for local defense construction, Green Hills sprung up as the mill’s lumberjacks settled in the cleared land surrounding the factory. Today the sleepy town has swollen to 100 strong.

And when a population of a hundred begins to grumble, it is hard to ignore.

“A town is only as strong as the people that call it home,” explained the Lord’s personal assistant and the town’s overseer, Jerome Blackwright. “And recently Elwynn’s Green Hills has not been at full strength.”

After a recent rash of stressful high-profile construction projects, many of the town’s men and women – who, by agreement with Lord Tavish, must build and maintain local defense towers in lieu of paying taxes – have begun to boycott their benefactor.

Instead of putting down the unrest with blood and steel, the military man turned noble is looking to an unlikely ally for help: The Commoner’s Party.

“We approached the Lord with our pitch of coordinating community improvement,” said Commoner’s Party’s Diplomatic Head Lord Jacob Grayson. “The Lord considered our arguments with regards to equity and human resource management and concluded that he'd be glad to have the Party piloting such 'community upgrading' as we'd like to achieve here.”

After speaking with local families and workers, representatives of the Commoner’s Party determined that the community would benefit most from the refurbishment of the decrepit saw mill.

“The workers here deserve to have a safe and efficient workplace,” explained the Party’s Assistant Director Esperanza Ortega. “I understand the dangers of an overworked lumber mill with mediocre equipment... I didn't want that for these people.”

The project seems to be just up the Party’s avenue: Established a month ago during the Solidarity Riots, the Commoner’s Party has since come out as a supporter of Stormwind’s poor without the rabid veracity of the Solidarity movement. Though the group has only amassed a small following, they hope that the local project will help boost their standing in the community.

“The people deserve a voice. Not a sword. Not a shield. Not blood,” commented the Commoner’s Party’s Chairwoman Valira von Rosenstiel. “The people deserve a reasonable voice that can carry their needs up the political ladder peacefully. And I hope that this will be a successful first step towards that goal.”

Currently pre-construction has already begun, with the saw mill closing for a week while a construction crew from Stormwind City prepare to outfit the building with state of the art equipment and shore up its crumbling supports. Until the project has been completed, local lumberjacks will be working outside of a make-shift mill erected on the outskirts of town.

While no specifics have been given on what the new mill will include, Rosenstiel promises that the project will conclude before the week is out.

“I hope that this saw mill will only be the first step,” concluded Rosenstiel . “In our effort to improve the lives of the people of Green Hill.”

Two soldiers spends their meager earnings together on stale ale at Wintergarde Keep, smashing their wooden steins hard together and slapping each other on the shoulder for every bad joke they can repeat from the last time they spent their coins.
"Did you hear about miss Legion?"
"Oy, ya kno' betta than to call 'er that!"
"Hey! If it looks, talks and walks like one, who am I to argue?"
"Ya numbnut... wha'bout 'er?"
"Reassigned, on her own request. Apparently something religious, a pilgrimage or something..."
"O'reali? The draenic pilgrimage movin' again? Ya kno', I joined them once, in Hellfire. If ya had, cooked-on-the-cob, ya'd kno' betta than callin' Exae that."

A warden of the Circle recieves rations wrapped tightly with cloth from the female quartermaster. She is swift to place her hand on his and only after a moment akward silence does the warden withdraw his hand.
"Are you sure about this, really sure?"
"Yes, quartermaster. I'm sure."
"But the expedition is basically over, what use is there to go?"
"I protect the Circle no matter it's location. And there have come words of strange occurrences among the druids, like ferality that spreads like disease and elves going missing."
"Will you come back to me, Terauk?"
The warden turns on the spot, leaving without offering an answer while thinking that he will return, but not for her.

"Is it true? Have he returned from the forest?"
"The bishop said so, I'm sure he isn't mistaken."
"So their journey will continue? I sure didn't anticipate this."
"What will you do, paladin? Travel back through the Dark Portal?"
"By the Light, I hope so. Few have taught me so much about our faith and myself as this priest of theirs."
"Anchorite..."
"What?"
"Their priests are called 'anchorites' and his name is Telah."
The healer and paladin quiet down as the bishop enters the main chamber of the Cathedral to start the mass. Both attend in body, but the paladin does not in mind as he thinks back on his time among the draenei on Draenor.

Rumors about the draenei and their pilgrimage spread within the Alliance and across Azeroth, words even pass by the Horde about the endeavor.

Public Statement from the House Wintersun:

It is regretful to all that I must make this announcement, but as of two nights ago the corpse of our House's leader, Lady Velial Wintersun, was discovered by a pair of Farstriders just outside of our fair city's limits. I have confirmed that it was indeed her body, and so at this time I have taken the mantle as head of our humble family, to do my best to lead us through this horrendous tragedy.

To those that remember her, they shall recall despite her eccentricities Lady Velial was truly a woman who sought to improve our people, to reclaim the glory we once held and then surpass it twentyfold. She was an idealist, yes, but those ideals kept the Wintersun House from crumbling to ashes when Silvermoon fell, and now they shall be honored as we seek to move ahead.

I extend my deepest sympathies to the Blood Knights at the loss of one of their Master members, and promise that in this we shall not waver in our support to the Blood Knights as an organization, offering whatever we may in this time of loss for all parties.

- From the desk of Selphius Wintersun
As someone wise once said, the important thing is never to be fearless or confident. Most people have more than enough trouble with both. The trick is to fake it, because if you learn to fake it properly, it's the same thing as actually having confidence.

Rumour moves from local to local in the town of Darkshire. Some claim a group of men attacked supplies moving back and forth, others claim a new organisation has spread from the depths of the earth. Some stories involve the walking dead and cultists, while others simply answered that they brought it upon themselves.

The few details that match up in every story, involve two corpses. One with a cracked skull and bullet wounds, the other was found without a head and a dozen of stab wounds. Local authorities confirmed to have found two bodies and surprisingly a horse, but gave no further details. We can safely guarantee however that the horse was perfectly fine.

"Under Siege", Say Ambermill Authorities

The precarious situation in Silverpine Forest continues to escalate with reports of continued aggression by the Forsaken against the Dalarani citizens of Ambermill. The Archmage in charge of running the Dalarani protectorate, originally a fief of Gilneas, went so far as to describe their dreadful situation as akin to 'being under a prolonged siege, with dwindling resources and dwindling hope'. When pressed, he clarified that there has yet to be any direct attack against Ambermill's walls, but he believes that such an assault will not be long coming, and he fears that the town will not be able to withstand sustained aggression from the Forsaken.

The conflict surrounding Ambermill seems to originate from the immediate aftermath of the Third War, where the town served as the first port of call for many refugees fleeing Dalaran's destruction. The reconstituted Kirin Tor soon vowed to rid the Lordaeronian subcontinent of what they described as 'the undead menace'. When the free-willed Forsaken pressed their influence into Silverpine, hostilities seemed inevitable. However, the Kirin Tor later revised their stance when they relocated the reconstructed city of Dalaran to the skies of Northrend and welcomed the aid of Forsaken wizards in the Nexus War. Ambermill, meanwhile, has made no attempts to parley or treat with their Forsaken neighbours, coming to rely on trade with Pyrewood and Southshore in lieu of the capital now situated in the distant north.

Undercity authorities have stressed their belief that many senior officials in Ambermill remain committed to eradicating undeath, the Forsaken included, and cite several alleged instances of Deathstalkers going MIA in Silverpine and Deathguard patrols being attacked by magi as grounds for their fears. Certain radical elements within the Forsaken have accused Ambermill of attempting to seize resources and expand its influence in their territory under the guise of various 'academic projects', leading to organised efforts by Forsaken paramilitaries to locate and destroy Dalarani research camps in Silverpine. Ambermill officials so far have fervently denied accusations that they are coordinating with the Alliance military for a coming invasion of Lordaeron, with the Archmage of the town deriding such claims as 'scaremongering lies and petty justifications for massacres by the Forsaken.'

It is believed that the Kirin Tor are considering sending neutral mediators to diffuse the conflict in Silverpine, but at this late point in the game, it is difficult to determine what good it will do. If Ambermill is relying on the Alliance for protection, then with neighbours like the Forsaken, can they really be blamed?
