The Sons of Lothar...
Once famed combatants of the Alliance, these brave men and women were sent under the command of Archmage Khadgar, Danath Trollbane, Kurdran Wildhammer, Alleria and General Turalyon to fight in Draenor against the emerging Old Horde. They poured through the Dark Portal, many strong. But it didn't take long for their decimation to arrive. What seemed like ages of battle passed by before the men's eyes, and they became battle-hardened, hard-assed warriors. Most of their ranks were killed, allowing others to rise. The Dark Portal was sealed, leaving these brave men trapped, for what many hoped would be forever. The Horde must remain behind the Dark Portal, and the Sons of Lothar were there to ensure they did...
Recruitment
The main playerbase of the guild will be built from members who were around in the time before the closing of the Dark Portal. They are led by Commander Malethan Calemdas. These are the officers of the guild. Anyone who wishes to become a new member will need to come speak with them, or Malethan himself, in regards to joining. OOCly, however, just send any officer a PM, and we'll set up a meeting. It should be mentioned that the Sons of Lothar are Alliance-only, and even then, mostly consist of Humans, Dwarves and Gnomes, however, all Alliance races are accepted.
Rules and Regulations
-At my earliest convelience, I will be making a gear set for all members. Anyone who is of the rank that the set is attached to, must wear that gear set. No questions asked.
-Follow all server rules, please. I want this guild to last, and the server rules merely back up that cause.
-ICly listen to your superiors. They are your superior because they are more badass than you. No, but really, they are there to lead, as Malethan has chosen them, due to his trust for them.
Ranks
Commander: He is the leader of the guild. He calls the shots, with advice from his officers. Officers can gain this rank, if Malethan falls in combat. The process will be a tournament, to the defeat, not death.
Officer: The officers are the older members of the Remnants of the Sons of Lothar. They are chosen at Malethan's convenience. The only way to achieve this rank is for a death to occur, and for Malethan, and the rest of the officers, to come to a consensus on your trustworthiness.
Veteran Soldier: These are anyone who has proven themselves to rise from the rank of Knight or Arcanist, or anyone who was previously of the Sons, but that Malethan did not trust enough to appoint as an officer. Also double as guard troops. Essentially, the guild's shock troopers.
Knight/Arcanist: Self explanatory. These are the main fighting force of the guild. The shaft behind the spearhead, one might say. They have proven themselves to rise from the rank of Squire or Acolyte.
Acolyte/Squire: The initate rank of the guild. Such members are fresh off the boat... Err... Whatever method they arrived via. These men and women are being trained in the ways of the Sons, to become either Arcanists, or Knights.
