For Sagi both of his parents would still be alive, probably in Ashenvale. His mom is no doubt still working as a Sentinel. His dad, lazing around making clothing and fancy hats (...maybe that's where Sagi got his thing for nice hats).

Duraza's father is probably still sitting around somewhere in Silvermoon but he's at that age where he doesn't move much. Just gives the grandchild gifts and puts up with family dinners every now and then.

Sozun's father died a natural death. He ate his mom along with his wife and kids.

Looking back now, I see my characters' parents most have met comical, often karmic demises at the hands of third party agents.

Marianna's mother was killed for infidelity by her father. If memory serves me, she was tied to a stampeding horse. Or dropped off a ravine. Or drowned in a river. To be honest, each of the Bisen children had a seperate mother and each was murdered for infidelity.

Marianna really couldn't be bothered with grieving.

The paternal figure in the Bisen family, however, was killed for assisting Alterac in collusion with the Horde during the Second War. He was summarily hung and quartered by the Alliance. Marianna still lives with his death, mourning not his loss but the loss of her ability to prove her worth to him.

Valira's parents abandoned her and ran off to join the Scarlet Crusade. They accidentally ate poisonous mushrooms and, in a daze, wandered into a spider's den. Valira was too young to remember them and treats her orphan status with indifference.

Paleran's parents were murdered during some Draenei lore sillyness. The memory hangs heavy on her, but she has found comfort in her technology.

Marjora's parents were killed eons ago during the fall of Silvermoon. She's long since coped with their death and her people's tragedy.

Vetia...?

Well that's something for another time.

-Both parents have died of old age.
-It hasn't really effected him, since he hasn't heard from his parents in 20+ years. Gilneas and all.

-Father died at Stratholme. Mother is still alive.
-Assumes both to be slain. Little impact, save adding on more grief.

-Parents died of old age.
-Stayed with mother and father until both passed away. They died on good terms with their son. While he is sad to know he won't see them for a long time, he is happy to have made them proud while they still lived.

-Both parents are actually still alive.
-Assumes both to be dead. Little impact, thinks her father's (Kruol, trololololol) a dick, never met her mother.

Sindri Evertide
-Father alive, mother died at Hyjal
-Little interaction with father. Sad to see mom go, but only inspired to surpass her mother, and finally give her something to actually be proud of. Something she wouldn't toss aside like what she usually did concerning her daughter.

-Unknown father (Avidius White [Lol, relative of Tavren {Lol, incest}]), known mother.
-Mother sent Daria down the arcane path in the first place. Failing spectacularly to learn the arcane, Daria moved to learn the fel. They don't see eye to eye. Her dad's dead and she'll never know him. So, eh.

Arianna Dawnbreaker
-Both parents died at the siege of Silvermoon
-Loving both dearly, she did grieve for them for quite a long time! She has gotten over it though, and is only inspired when thinking about them now. They're probably proud in whatever afterlife they're in. Probably.

-Unknown father. Known mother.
-God damn does he love his still living mother. All of his pay goes to support her in her old age, and he makes a point to visit at least once a month. While she does wish he had become more than a peon, she is content with her son's way of living.

Yui
-Status of father is unknown. Mother (Andra) is still alive!
-Loves her mother dearly. Thinks she's too old fashioned. Needs a new hairstyle. Comforting. Andra's certainly smarter than Yui, or at least the daughter thinks such. She looks up to her mother, probably more than she knows.

Navren Windstrider / Masimavri Leafwind:

Navren's Mother: Still Alive. She's living in the care of the Leafwind Sisterhood and her daughter, Masimavri. She nearly died giving birth to Masimavri, but Navren did not witness this and hasn't spoken to her since the death of their father. Navren has never cared for his mother, feeling her useless upon his own life and spent most of his time under his father's care. Masimavri cares for her mother and cared for her father both equally, and both in high regard. She's quite fond of her mother.

Navren's Father: Killed amongst the demons during Hyjal, believed for a short time to have been killed by Navren. This bent Navren's views on life and led for years of insight and searching to understand why it was his father perished. Masimavri was crushed by this as well, but managed to stay stalwart due to her Sentinel training, distancing tragic events from her life in a line of duty. His death caused a schism between the two siblings.

Ivan Ashholder:

Ivan's Mother and Father: Both were killed in the fall of Gnomergan while Ivan was away. He was torn by their deaths, but more so on the feeling of being unable to help the cause for Gnomergan's resistance and insurrection against the corrupt king. As he grew older he managed to overcome it by being what his family would be proud of him for being.

Gahali Ironplate: Practically a secondary father to Ivan, was his mentor in blacksmithing for most of his youth to adult age. Still alive, but hasn't spoken to Ivan in quite some time.

Ennio Driftlock:

Mother: Whore mother, never met her, never cared.

Father: Never met. Never cared.

Grandfather: Already socially calloused, Ennio mourned his Grandfather during his search for what he was meant to do, and eventually overcame his death as he worked as a gunman and gunsmith.

Redis: Parents dumped him at Dalaran. Most likely died in the Plague of Lordaeron. Gave him a sense that he was worthless to everybody, drove him to prove himself that he mattered.

Krian: Both parents died during the fall of Silvermoon. It crushed him, seeing his idols killed. Made him become a zealot Blood Knight.

Melissa: Almost her entire family died when she was a baby from a troll attack. Never hurt her too much.

Her adopted parents disowned her after they found out that she was a warlock and wouldn't turn away from the path. They're still alive. The experience caused her to be very quiet about her practices, in fear of an equal response.

Dalar: Parents, and entire family died in the Sundering. Made him feel as if he cheated out his family by surviving. Eagerly went to sleep in the Emerald Dream, in hopes of finding something else to wash away the pain and agony in his life. Becoming a druid was nice, too.

Aulten

Mother: Corpse is floating beneath Outland in the Nether. Quite dead; her throat was cut, end to end.
Father: Rotted away, having been impaled on a spike deep in the mountains of Redridge.
Impact: Happier, with them dead.

Tavarth

Mother: Dead, by his own hands. Run through with a nasty-sharp edge.
Father: Killed in the War of the Ancients, before Tavarth's eyes.
Impact: Made worse, by far, his delusions and over-all mental health issues.

Cladorn

Mother: Died of an illness when Cladorn was 14.
Father, sister, brother: Murdered in cold blood by Cladorn.
Impact: The man is crazy. He doesn't care anymore.

Mythor

Mother, Father, entire village: Burned. Burned dead. Deader than dead, even.
Impact: Emotionally scarred from the event. He'll never live it down.

That's a start for me.

Annabelle
Lived a long happy life in Elwynn as a farmer and housewife. Visited regularly by their daughter. They adored Don Bronco.

...Then they were horrifcally murdered by Annabelle's undead cousin, Berenice.

These losses, and the loss of her then-fiancee Don, has caused little Annabelle to vent her rage in battle when it occurs. Redemption is still her main goal for people, but she will beat the living hell out of you with her staff to boot.

Furniture has suffered her wrath as well.

Marwaz
Traditional Bloodscalp parentage. Mother was an object, father was a hunter. Or something.

Not much of an impact.

Odetta
Typical Kul'tiras parents. I honestly didn't think too much on this one.

His dad was killing by a thousand murlocs.
His mom is still alive.

His mom was Flo the Progressive Lady. He had to do the world a favor. He killed his father afterwards just on principle.

Sebastien Yursell

Mother: Died during the assault of the Scourge on Dalaran.

Father: Currently living in solitude in a library. Doesn't speak to his son anymore.

Impact: Ruined Sebastien's relationship with his father, rarely ever speaks to him anymore but sends letters every now and then which are never returned.

Asirius Dai'mos

Mother: Died during the assault of the Scourge on Dalaran.

Father: Missing, possibly dead too.

Impact: One of the tattoos upon Asirius' body marks his memory of his mother, he does search for his father occasionally though but he is not too worried about it.

Taron'fon

Mother: Alive, living with the Darkspear.

Father: Died on Darkspear Isle during the Murloc attack.

Impact: Never liking his father, Taro'fon didn't mind about his death but he still assists his mother by supplying her with money, occasionally visiting her upon returning to Durotar.

Dakaz'fon

Mother: Unknown.

Father: Unknown.

Impact: They never helped him when he was removed from the Gurubashi Tribe so he doesn't even think they care about their son.

Aurel Flamehawk

Mother: Dead.

Father: Dead.

Impact: He's a Ghoul. 'nuff said.

Dazto Darkspear

Mother: Alive, living with the Darkspears.

Father: Alive, living with the Darkspears.

Impact: Occasionally, he visits them, but they're still alive so he doesn't mind too much.

Celes

Father: Survived all battles and hardships until they arrived at Azeroth. Was killed by an accident when a section of the burning Exodar exploded and fell, crushing him on the crash. Celes only found this two weeks later when she woke up from a coma (suffered a lot of wounds, both physical and mental when the Exodar crashed).
Mother: Died during the beginning of the hostilities between Orcs and Draenei. She was part of an ambassador expedition, which was ambushed and killed.
Impact: The death of Celes mother had some good degree of impact on her mind. She became more reckless and stubborn, bound to fits of rage, mostly experienced during the years of war and that still affect her up to this day. Her father's death was the one that affected her more heavily, as they were very close. Celes spent a bit more than a year recovering mentally from his death, became even more anti-sociable during that time and got into depression. Managed to recover with constant guidance of leaders of her people, which were doing the same for others of her kind. Her mother's death doesn't affect her much today but she still misses her father a deal lot.

Djim Campbell

Father: Is happily living at Stormwind, taking care of his tailoring business. He and Djim are really close and talk a lot. Both are rather addicted to gambling, though Djim's father is much deep into the thing than his son.
Mother: Djim's mother "died" when the Argent Dawn was destroyed. He later found out she was somewhat "alive" (though dead) as a Death Knight. She came to visit her family and explained the curse that now afflicted her, after this she moved to unknown areas so she wouldn't be a threat to her family. Sometimes she randomly appears to visit Djim and know how he's doing, but that's very infrequent.
Impact: The loss of his mother made Djim become a very lonely person, usually focused on studies and magic rather than developing a deep social life. Her death still drives him forward, as he seeks to find a cure for her dead condition.

Katherine "Epsilon" Clearwater

Father and Mother: Both are alive and well at Darkshire, though they do not see Epsilon as their child anymore and instead as an abomination.
Impact: Their rejection to Epsilon after she returned had little effect on her mind, as she had very few memories of them. However she felt lonely and abandoned but had nearby friends to help her overcome the feeling. She still finds herself thinking about them sometimes and once or twice has slept near their farm, out of worry.

Will submit more chars later. :3

Figured I should hop on the bandwagon... In order of appearance based on the Character List in my signature, I proudly present...

Kaz'zan Darkspear / G.I. Jin:
After killing his father's favored mate, Kaz was disowned. In a fit of anger his father slaughtered Kaz's mother for birthing such a despicable specimen. The famed hunter has nothing but contempt for his son, basically shaping the outcome of Kaz's life over the past year and a half I've RP'd him.

Don Bronco:
Both his parents are alive and well, living on his family farm outside Stromgarde. His father is prone to getting alcohol poisoning fairly quickly after utterly destroying his liver so he might die any day now, but hey! What's a rancher without his booze? His mother is in fine physical condition on the other hand.

Boss Ross:
Having been kidnapped at a young age and sold into slavery, he barely remembers his mother and father. Instead his father figure was the gnome tinker who forced him to do menial work within a not-so-well-off shop, but Ross was eventually able to buy his freedom. The tinker mysteriously died several days later in a freak laundry-related accident.

Jarvi Extrawrench:
His mother was killed by troggs within Gnomerega, and he also assumes that his father was killed. His dad survived however, only to become an irradiated leper gnome prowling the halls of Gnomeregan. This event was one of the reasons he left Khaz Modan to travel abroad.

Baron Ja'Thraze:
Thraze's father was killed when he was still in the womb by a tiger on a hunting trip, forcing him into the care of a single mother. She pawned the child off on her own mother, Thraze's Manman (grandma) raised him in turn, teaching him the ways of the Voodoo Priest. Her death is what prompted him to leave the Darkspear tribe for now, in order to learn more about the Loa through training in the ancestral Gurubashi home of Stranglethorn.

Khork Freefeather:
Khork's mother died when he was young, forging a bond a thousand times stronger than that of himself and his gryphon with his father. The two were extremely close, but with the coming of the orcs, Khork was forced to fight and leave him in their home. He left his child with his father, but upon returning to the household due to the stress of losing his wife on the battlefield, Khork found that the orcs had also raided the home, killing both his infant son and his father. Several orc corpses lay strewn about the room, and in his father's lifeless hands were two things; Held tight between the fingers of his right hand was his hammer, covered in blood, and in his left arm rested Khork's son. This event caused the dwarf to vow vengeance upon the orcs, changing the course of his life.

Ashteran Duskglade:
Ashteran's mother died from disease after the fall of the World Tree, having no immune system due to thousands of years without a cold of any kind. His father fell not long before to the blade of orcs within Ashenvale. He knows that they were tainted and being controlled by, demonic blood, so he forgives them... But knowing that has heightened his hatred for fel well beyond even the normal all consuming fight against it most elves maintain. He finds it hard not to punish Blood Elves and other fel-tainted creatures on the spot when coming in contact with them.

...

I might finish another time, this is getting to be a lot, haha.
"Every gun..."

- Still holds him to this day, on common occasion he pays a visit to their grave

- At first Duron was furious over his father's death, but eventually he calmed and came to accept both of his parent's deaths.

Safksha Shadowedge
-Both of his parents are dead. I forget how. Danal had it somewhere in a thread, I believe.
-Doesn't care all that much. Hated his father, and his mother he only liked somewhat. Really only cared for Shivala, his sister.

Richtnel Bloodwing
-He's probably killed them. I haven't thought about it until now, but it seems likely, as they tie him to his life of near poverty, and Ol' Richt has to be a noble.
-Obviously this means that he cared very little for them. Perhaps enough to milk them of their use, but once they became a liability... well...

Gregg Anders
-They are still alive, still living in Southshore and quite old.
-He loves them dearly, even if they have as many faults as he does, and even if he left them to become a Paladin. He fully intends to return someday and have a beer with his ol' man and kiss his mother. And maybe show his numerous siblings what being a winner is all about, with his FISTS.

Pops
-Probably dead, as they lived without any respect for hygiene, though they were tough people.
-Though they taught him how to be awesome, they did beat him regularly and were on the whole quite barbarous.

Jezzan The Repairman
-They are both alive, and live currently with the rest of his extensive family.
-Are responsible for most of his numerous faults, though he will retain his love for other races (particularly WOMEN of other races) and still loves THEM dearly.

Ariden Cotta

Father: Succumbed to the plague he was researching and became a ghoul. Would later be killed by Ariden himself. Something which still haunts Ariden from time to time and made him a very serious man on grim occasions.
Mother: Dissapeared shortly after the destruction of Dalaran. Ariden presumes she's still alive, but wouldn't know where to find her.

Jason Vandermar

Father: Having survived the great Orcish raid prior to the third war lives a solitary live as a fisherman in Soutshore. Vandermar has only visited him once or twice.
Mother: Did not survive said raid.
Vandermar does not like Orcs.

Gretch Troggbuster

Both parents are still alive and live in Tinkertown.

Gurk Nightshot

Father was killed at the hands of Night Elves during one of the many skirmishes after the Horde had landed in Kalimdor.
Mother died shortly after giving birth to Gurk's sister in an interment camp
Doesn't have a significant impact on his personality.

Brohn Bearclaw

Both parents live somewhere in the lower tiers of Ironforge as miners. Brohn doesn't visit them very often as his father seems to scorn him for his actions (Including but not limited to brawling) Father's condition is in a downward spiral, he might not live very long.
