The Queen's Court
#1
[Image: 2mzlen9.jpg]

“Let this island endure…A monument to our bravery.
Let it show all that we who worship power and the indomitable spirit of the self…Do not shy away from the sun.
Let it show that the wicked do not hide below the earth…but embrace the world above…
Which will naturally become our own domain.”

Vetia Ashwind

The island city of Asholme was created with a single purpose in mind: To offer a safe haven for those deemed ‘evil’ by a society that would rather kill these tortured souls instead of cultivating their unique traits.

To that end the necromancers who established this island in the frozen north created the Queen, an undead Warden infused with dark power and given a mind awash in the dark whispers of her master. The Queen was tasked with protecting the island and its inhabitants, no matter the cost.

The Queen’s Court is a coalition of guilds and individuals of considerable power dedicated towards their namesake’s mission: The advancement of the island and its protection from those who would do it harm. They are men and women, living or otherwise, who have approached the Queen to pledge their loyalty.

Criminals. Warlocks. Drug dealers. Assassins. Necromancers…The court encompasses all walks of life and those of both neutral and evil alignments.

Yet there is little piece between these disjointed groups. Each vies against one another for influence over the queen and control of the island. The war fought by the Queen’s Court is both external and internal…All for the sake of the island of Asholme.

Guilds

Below is a list of guilds who have sworn allegiance to the island of Asholme and its queen, Vetia. Each guild holds political influence on the island and makes the worn city its home.

Necromancer’s Council

A remnant of the necromancers from the Catacombs, this evil council of dedicated men and women form the defensive council of Asholme. These shadow-wielders dedicate their time and energies towards devising new ways of defending the island and its inhabitants.

The hallmark of this organization is necromancy.

Argus Wake

Lead by demons and filled with unsavory fel-addicts and shadow worshippers, Argus Wake is a mysterious –but decidedly evil- organization. Known by many as a crime guild, the Wake’s true goal –known only by its leaders- is to destabilize the world’s government in the hopes of paving the way for the next Burning Legion invasion.

The hallmark of this organization is espionage and demon/shadow worship.

Noteables

Below is a list of the dignitaries and notable figures in the Queen’s Court.

Vetia Ashwind

The titular queen of the Queen’s Court, Lady Ashwind is the namesake for both the city and the coalition.

In life a Warden, Ashwind was killed under mysterious circumstances and her body transported to the Catacombs for experimentation. Any plans for the Warden, however, were put on hold when the Lich Queen invaded. Recovered during the events of Bad Business, Vetia was resurrected and her mind imprinted with the desires and thoughts of dozens of ruling necromancers.

Robbed of emotions, individuality and her own free will, Vetia is now a walking amalgamation of thoughts and desires, an impassive creature that is both master and slave.

Marianna Bisen

A Fel-Sworn diabolist, Lady Bisen was one of the first to pledge herself and her group, Argus Wake, to the Queen’s Court.

A native of Alterac, the human warlock has since evolved past her mortal beginnings to become one of the feared Fel-sworns. Her group, Argus Wake, seeks to subvert and corrupt the world at large.

Her motives are mysterious, but her desire to help Asholme seems genuine.

Belzerial

The co-leader of Argus Wake, the bloodthirsty Belzerial is a Burning Legionnaire with a hunger for violence and power.

Born in bright Silvermoon as a Sin’dorei, the elf has since cast aside her frail body and become a monster of flesh and raw, unholy strength. Ruling over the weak and inflicting her vengeance upon those who would wrong her, Argus Wake and the Legion, Belzerial is a gun-ho soldier for Sargeras.

While doubtful of what use allegiance with Asholme may bring, she has agreed anyway.

Activities

  • Release
With the island open to the public Vetia has sought to put a good face on the port, painting it as a safe place for undesirables to congregate.

  • Carnival
To celebrate the hedonism and selfishness this island is based around Vetia and the Queen’s Court are working on hosting a costumed carnival.

  • Recruitment
To further expand the safety and control of the island the queen is encouraging other groups to move to the island and make it their home and, in doing so, establish themselves as members of the court.

Joining

Joining the Queen's Court is simple and easy, and gives guilds benefits and role-play beyond their own means.

Joining the Queen's Court allows for guilds to battle, violenty and non-violently, with other groups within Asholme and beyond, and also allows gives groups assistance in starting evil and neutral guilds.

To join, a guild must contribute some meaningful form of role-play to the island or intend to contribute some meaningful form of role-play to the island.

A guild must also be, outwardly, neutral or evil.

OOCly PM or whisper myself, Rosencrat, in game to discuss either involving a guild with the island or creating a guild with an intent to become part of the island.

ICly the guild leader will be approached by Vetia or a member of the Queen's Court when they have demonstrated their worth to the city of Asholme.
