If you are out in about in a city/area, shouldn't it be assumed that you are looking for RP?

I mean, then when people aren't you see the DND sticker or whatever else.

...I just think it would be way too much work for something that could be assume. :c

Well, perhaps we should make it so that on the server, you should set yourself to "Busy" when not RPing or looking for RP? I'd hope this would even include the OoC area, as it would be nice to have a blatant visual that they're interested in RP and not just chillin' OOCly. If someone wants to idle, they can set /away on themselves.

Would be nice, except everyone who would whisper you will get spammed constantly by the "This player does not wish to be disturbed / This player is away" message. Anything outside of Shatterspear should be considered as a "I'm RPing and want RP" area.

Think the main problem is that people aren't going out into said RP zone (They simply ask on /LFG and get ignored, because hey.. Replying that you don't want RP is considered rude, or considered to be spam.) and join the RP, if people are doing a private RP they can simply tell you then. Others shouldn't be forced to put up a specific tag and deal with the nuisances of the dnd/away message spam. (Sure, you can join into a party, but I'm often in a random party AND whispering people. Can't be the only one.)

What Nikodemos suggested would be a quick and easy solution to things, TRP updates rather fast to such changes.

I agree. I make a point however, of cornering folks when I cross paths with them running through a city. Usually a simple /1 "Are you IC or OOC?" will generally lead to an RP session. Very few of us would turn down a chance to roleplay in favor of running ingame quests lol.

Me and my un/helpful opinion depending how you look at it, but....

How about we use the channel LookingForGroup the way it was intended? To find RP and not senseless Chat/Barrens talk?

Back when I joined...

If you were leveling/not RPing, you have your DND tag on. It was just the normal thing to do. LFG was also used for finding RP and giving out character warnings.

Dreams do come true!

[9:35:07 PM] Kretol (Big Red): Alright! LFRP will be working properly when I can have the chance to update the server revision!
[9:35:30 PM] Kretol (Big Red): To reiterate, .lfrp followed by a message will set your LFRP message. .lfrp by itself will show your current LFRP message.
[9:35:44 PM] Kretol (Big Red): These messages can be viewed on the Account Management site, which some people may have noticed.
[9:36:05 PM] Kretol (Big Red): After I update the server revision, .lfrp list will show all online characters that have an LFRP message set.
[9:36:45 PM] Kretol (Big Red): .lfrp list all will show all LFRP entries and their associated characters
[9:36:59 PM] Kretol (Big Red): along with a timestamp of when they were entered
[9:37:19 PM] Kretol (Big Red): .lfrp clear will wipe your LFRP entry.
The true test of his choice lies forward.
