Morals: Why is Booty Bay full of them?

Well as someone who has heard the original poster complain on this topic in much greater depth I would hazard a guess that that is the actual cause of this post, not the presence of others in neutral territory. If I recall correctly her character was actually being harassed prior to my departure earlier, so I would imagine that's the incident that prompted this.

But, her original post was about "moral" characters "hanging out" in Booty Bay and/or Ratchet. Not harassing. I will agree that moral outsiders attacking/harassing the normal folk in the Bay/Ratchet for doing normal business is odd. Whether she will explain it later or not, the original post is still confusing.

Moral people hanging out in the Bay/Ratchet: Fine by me.

Moral people attacking normal folk: Not fine by me, unless something bigger is going on. Perhaps a friend of theirs was captured/sold.

Pretty much this. You get like a crowd of people rping around you if you're a slaver and it gets rather silly after awhile. I mean, ICly the place would be full of slavers but players only go after IC slavers when it wouldn't make sense to single them out over others.

I wish we had like, some kind of city RP hub not in STV with equal attractions. I'm not gonna lie, Booty Bay is really nice because of all the houses, empty buildings, a dangerous wild outside the front gate and an arena nearby. IF we could bring similar attractions elsewhere maybe people would be inclined to hang out somewhere else.

I'm of the opinion that if the bruisers saw someone harassing a slaver, they would step in. Slavers bring business. They need to buy food for themselves and their slaves to keep them alive. The business they would lose from the handful of good guys there is nothing compared to what they would gain from a few slavers with 3+ slaves to sell. That's room's rented, dock space taken, food and drinks bought, gambling done, fights in the arena, bets made there, ect.

Personally, I'd like BB a lot more of it was a scum central with slavers going around and showing off their slaves in public. It would be awesome if someone who was preaching about the light had rotten fruit thrown at them, that slavers wouldn't sell to 'known good' characters. Or, if they had to, raise the price if they think the slaves are just going to be let go. I'd be thrilled to see an arena battle with enslaved gladiators in order to show off their skills and have auctions done after the fights are over, with the slaves still bleeding from battle.

Sadly, any attempts at doing these are always shot down by the over-population of goodie-too-shoes. Not saying it's bad, just wishing that ideas wouldn't get jumped down and destroyed before they even start.
