I could see Clovis and Thad having had some frequent interactions during the Pre-Argent/Scarlet schism and the Dawn and Crusade eras. I tried to look his backstory up on the wiki, but the only character with that name is.....not yours.

And it's totally possible Clovis and Merica could of had a brief interaction at any point during his life, from his squirehood to the fall of Dalaran. Perhaps Merica was closer to Clovis's master, and only knew the squire in passing.

They were married right after the Second War, so she was a High Elf back then

My Blood Elf Death Knight Iliel may have known him, although he would have been a great deal younger than she in all likelihood. Her age, however, is subject to change, so it could go either way at this point. Intelligent, snarky, and often nicer than she chooses to let on.

She still has rather strong Alliance sympathies; she turned to fel out of desperation rather than patriotism, and went so far as to join the Argent Dawn as something of an Atoner. She was a Mage, so growing up in Dalaran would make sense.
