I do believe you brought up the same paint in the past, and it was made clear to you by Rowgen the reason the Estate is hidden is because it is an actual place, built to be used, but located on a different server; my own. That is why the estate is hidden IC because you are not on my server and thus cannot get to the estate.

Now if you were recruiting for RP on that server beyond this guild, then there's going to be an issue.

As one very experienced with holding down bases, and attacking those others (Circus and Autumn shout out, yo), I have to say--and this is only my own view from experience--that this base-on-another-server thing is...very, very meta-y.

As an "evil" aligned guild (from what I see), you're going to make enemies. These enemies will want to eventually attack you and yours. Having your "estate" on another server is very cheap, and waaaay stretching loopholes.

Before starting the Estate I alerted Kretol to the fact I was building the Estate on my server and even offered to give him admin access, he has not asked for an account there nor did he tell me I could not do it.

If you want to find the characters, I believe you can seeing as Aloria was attacked by Garm from the Hand sustaining some not so pleasant wounds. Aliyah was also attacked IC, so the validation of your point is mute.

I believe the point she's trying to make is that others would not be able to come upon your base and assault it when it would be otherwise logical since it's on another server.

If the player base of the guild wishes to RP an estate location on the server this was my direct statement.

The estate is not located on CoTh, IC you can use a place here, but it is off-server.

Meaning if they set up somewhere on-server they want to claim, then others may feel free to begin RP towards finding out.

Those in the Guild and the other players who visit the Estate's server, will remember the Curse of Silence does stay in effect there.

I'm not a fan of using a separate server to circumnavigate the rules on this one. It sets a horrible precedent for other players/groups to do the same.

I host my server, have done the coding and multiple SQL edits as well as LUA scripting; the rules there are not up for discussion seeing as I am the only one who admins or GMs it.


As I said I asked Kretol before building the guild base on my server, he gave me the okay although he didn't ask for an account or admin access.


I am following your rules here, what happens there is not a concern considering we make no lore changes on my server in expectations of CotH adapting to them. In the same manner you should not expect CotH to rule over what is done on my server.

So, you're saying that unless we either A. Join your server for rp that may not be deemed 'legal' on CotH, or b. We have to give you the estate that again isn't 'legal'... We can't rp with you period?

Edit: If what you're doing on your server isn't able to be overseen by CotH, then it cannot be applied back to CotH because it's not CotH supported and ran. That's like playing a dragon on retail and trying to play the same thing on CotH.

... I cannot say enough how much I agree with McKnighter. It just doesn't seem wholly fair or logical to do that.

How it feels to me is something like... "We don't want people to mess with our guild base, so they just can't get to it because they don't have access to the server."

Feels cheap, and really hurts the concept of good-evil interaction(after all, a lot of good-evil RP involves base-raiding on CotH (Autumn and Circus are prime examples.)).

Leron/ McKnighter, I have RPed with you multiple times. You are neither on my server nor did i demand an 'illegal' estate on CotH. I built one with a patch on my server with CotH Kretol's admin knowledge.


Yes, I allow the same characters from my guild on CotH to be brought over to my server as they are. The work of literature is default property of the writer, if they chose to bring the same character from CotH to my server to continue RP in a way we don't have the ability to do on CotH, it is really their decision. We bring nothing back from my server to CotH. RP progression is only inter-guild on my server, for RP with others we log on CotH with our approved character biographies and characters RPing by the rules here as well as interacting with the community.

Regardless, why can't you just roleplay on CotH? I don't understand why you need your own server to give yourself a power base. Also, most of us don't have characters on your server. If all your progression is in guild, then I honestly can't say that whatever is done on your server is within CotH's rules.

I'd hate to say, but the issues regarding over recent profiles and guild concepts do not give you a good reputation. I really don't see why you can't rp on CotH the entire time, if you wish your guild to be affiliated with CotH itself.

Because by this logic, I can make my own server, give me all these armies and cities, all this influence with other characters, then come back to CotH and try to act like it was all normal. I don't doubt people dodge making profiles for certain characters because they won't get approved and I don't doubt people write fake profiles and then do their own thing once it's approved. It's very hard to keep up with that stuff if someone is doing all of that on another server, out of GM's reach.

Kretol doesn't have time to oversee two servers. GM team doesn't want to do that either. I sure as heck wouldnt either. This is just too unrestricted and open for rule breaking.

None of you except Caravan have been professional about this, I commend him, but I must wonder at the GM and Forum 'Helpers' who didn't move this to either private discussion or PM.

This is uncalled for.

You could have easily asked for this to have been moved to a private discussion, or created the private discussion yourself. I am not blaming you for that, but I do not enjoy the rather blatant jab at the Forum Helper team. They were merely pointing out issues which both they and the GM team see in this post.
