Custom Hunter Pets

Yes, we can apply to have our hunters pets morphed into something else! But there are limitations and rules you should be aware of first. (GMs - If these rules are not correct then let me know and I'll edit the post. And if the thread should be in another sub-forum, then feel free to move it.)

• Size - The pets cannot be scaled! A dragonhawk model for example will be shrunken to the actual dragonhawk pet size.
• Stable - You cannot put the changed pet into your stable and the model will revert back to the original form. (Dismissing or relogging will however not change the model.)

• Models - The actual model you want for the pet should still be a beast or creature that a hunter would logically be able to tame. (For example, a hunter might have a talbuk or even one with a saddle but they couldn't tame a mechagnome.)
• Reason - There should be a good IC reason for the pet to be changed into the chosen model. (For example you might want a pet that matches your mount so they can be RPed as one and the same.)

Some pets and models are not spawned due to broken quests, unreachable areas or otherwise. Models such as core hounds from Molten Core might be hard to reach alone and could be spawned and then tamed. Just make sure the model exists in our current patch and that the mob is tameable to start with. Petopia is a good start. (May only Kretol or all GMs do this? I know that when I first joined, any GM was allowed to.)

So, how would you make an application?

1. First look up the model you want, is it tameable? Either way grab its ModelID. You do this easy at WowHead.
2. Make a ticket with the ID as well as the reason to why you want the pet changed into a custom model. But don't make it a story, just an explanation.
   
3. If you want a mob spawned, make a similar ticket where you simply state the ID and story of the mob you want spawned.
