Storm Peaks Expedition

The following notice has been posted in various locations in both Horde and Alliance settlements.

What:

An organization dedicated to locating and studying advanced Titan sites in the Storm Peaks region of Northrend, and preventing their technologies and secrets from falling into malefic hands.

Who:

Researchers, explorers, academics and anyone willing to assist in this endeavor into the frigid, dangerous northeastern corner of Azeroth.

Why:

Well that depends on personal reasons. The academic payout has potential to be huge, as could be the monetary payout of any relic retrieved and sold.

(Possible IC motivations:

Humans, Undead, Trolls, Sin’dorei: Adventure! The sciences and magic of the area may interest you, but there’s definitely a payout to this sort of endeavor, not to mention bragging rights and the stories that could come of having been part of this expedition.

Gnomes, Dwarves: Heritage! Both of these races come directly from Titanic lines and can trace their ancestry back to it, if not further! Involvement in such an expedition could well lead to the biggest discoveries of your peoples’ lives, and you could be there firsthand to see them being made!

Night Elves, Tauren: Heritage as well, but in a different sense. Both of these races are old and descend directly from Titan-crafted ancestors. This could provide clues to why they were made, or at the very least provide a chance to explore some of the world’s oldest “natural” machinery if you’re the sort to pick flowers and avoid a fight.

Orcs, Draenei: Titans. Perhaps you know or perhaps you don’t, but Sargeras came from the Titans first. Their technology could provide power to combat him, for honor or for justice.

These are just some examples and are not even remotely meant to limit your decisions or whether or not you can come!)

Where: The Storm Peaks. The group will be based out of Dalaran and/or K3 depending on the funding and resources available. Smaller, independent long-term base camps are a possibility but unlikely due to weather and more dangerous inhabitants of the region.

How?
Currently the only way to access these regions is via flight, with the closest outpost accessible by foot being K3. As such a means of aerial transportation will need to be acquired on either a case-by-case basis or the acquisition of an airship. This will be discussed.
