First and foremost: Tell us about yourself, as a player:
Hi, my name is Emil or 'Saph'. I'm 19 ½ years old, 20 in December. I have played video games for most of my life and I'm quite competitive about it.
I have always been a somewhat elitist FPS player, playing alot of games like the Battlefield series and Call of Duty series.
I also play League of Legends and the people who I play with seems to think of me as somewhat of a professional (when I really think I'm not). I played LoL since a few months after the game released but I wouldn't consider myself 'pro'. Above average but not a professional.
I'm -very- bad with horror games, since my nerves are quite the wreck after playing so much FPS games. And I can't stand horror in general. For some reason though, I keep playing horror games and streaming them, Dead Space 2 being the recent one.
When it comes to MMORPG's, World of Warcraft was my first big online game. I have tried Rift and Star Wars: The Old Republic but they just.. didn't stick with me.
What country do you come from? What is your primary language?:
I come from Sweden and my primary language is of course Swedish. Though, I have always been passionate about the English language and I speak it quite fluently. English isn't a problem at all for me.
How did you get into Warcraft?:
Oh wow, where to start? I started by playing Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness and bought Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos/The Frozen Throne. I played through the campaigns about six times each, up to the highest difficulty and played alot online on custom maps. Some few years after that, World of Warcraft was released. I didn't start to play it until very late Vanilla though, just a few months before Burning Crusade was released. However, I stopped playing WoW late February this year.
How did you find us? Did anything in particular draw you to the server?:
As I said above, I stopped playing retail WoW this year. PvE was boring, PvP was easy and dull. RP was always fun but it was getting harder and harder for me to actually find/create it, since the people were leaving the game due to Cata being boring.
The real reason why I stopped playing retail was due to lack of money. Well, not really lack of money but I didn't spend enough time on the game to make those ~12 euros worthwhile. I miss the game, sure but I didn't want to throw money to something I wont play enough. RP was the thing I missed the most. So a week or so ago, my girlfriend decided to browse private servers. We were on a 3.3.5 PvP server awhile but we really wanted to RP the most. Then she found this server and we decided to give it a try.
What kinds of roleplay do you enjoy?:
On retail, I've roleplayed -alot- of diffrent kinds. I've done tavern RP, villain RP, religious RP, cultist RP, military RP, guard RP, political RP, cross-faction RP, adventure RP, market RP. You name it. I have my preferences on military-villain-tavern-guard RP, I guess. Cultist RP is also high on the list since I was co-leading a Forsaken Religious Cultist guild, that were fanatic in the teachings of the Forgotten Shadow (The opposite of the Paladins Holy Light, in essence). Hell, on retail I did Demon Hunter RP. It's really complicated and isolated from the rest of the normal RP hubs, so I spent most of the RP time with a small group of people, though we -did- get some more people later on to RP with.
What is your favorite race/class? Why?:
That really depends what I'm in the mood for.
My main character on retail was a Undead Death Knight, who I roleplayed alot on and have alot of history on. I really like the Death Knight class, both to RP with it but also to PvP.
Rogue might come somewhat close aswell when it comes to classes, since I like the shady sort of RP sometimes.
When it comes to races it's either on Forsaken, Human or Night Elf. I love the Lore on those three races, what can I say?
What are your expectations of this server?:
I don't really know what to expect. A friendly community who respects the Lore but most of all, greets new players with a smile and a 'Welcome!'.
Out of all of our rules and regulations listed on our server, which appeals to you the most?:
Language: On several other private servers, people just openly badmouth and yell the worst swears without even knowing what half of them means. Tolerance: When it comes to tolerance, it's the same. People openly call others racial/homophobic or other degrading terms. I don't except either of that. Atleast when it comes to the word 'rape'. People who use that word casually and/or who make jokes about rape have no idea what rape actually does to the victims. Quite honestly, they disgust me.
Lastly, tell us a story! It can be short, it can be long; but most importantly, we want to see your work in action. Go!:
Is there anything else you would like to add, ask, or otherwise clarify?:
When it comes to the story:
1. Sorry for being long.
2. It was an actual RP event. All characters are real and nothing was made up. It was a planned event by me, Garodin, Olian and the three Forsaken.
3. Sorry for any spelling/grammatic flaws.
To clear some other things up with the story; 'Phelgas', something close to the God of Shadow. Server Lore, mind you, not actual lore. 'Voidsworn', someone who has (willingly) sold their sold to Phelgas. Again, server lore.
