TLE Sports Fair Feedback (needed for the Joust!)
#1
With the Sports Fair's final event delayed until Monday, I want to take this time look back at how the events played by far. I know there were flaws in timing--home internet (Dad's house) is horrible, hours at Mom's is very limited, preparations were rushed taking a week battling bad internet, and in general, everything felt rushed, even with the delays. Plus, we're running at the same time as Skin Thieves, so of all the signed up folks who arrived, only 2-3 came; most of the other contestants were walk-ins.

Still, I hope you all had fun, and I hope the medals are worth the trouble. I try to make the events as fun as possible despite the rush. If you've attended or spectated the sports, I hope for feedback on the following:

1.) Was my timing good? Would you have preferred another hour?

2.) How was my DMing? Do you think I'd benefit from an Assistant DM, or was I fine by myself?

3.) How were the sports choices themselves? Would you have preferred another sport? If so, what?

4.) How did you feel the sports played out? Do you think the OOC rules should change? Which ones do you think need more improvement?

5.) How are Kantado and Tibalan as hosts? Do you like their double-act? Would you like to see them host events more often, or do you still prefer Kapre (if you've been to Kapre's hosted TLE events)?

6.) How was the choice location? Would you rather have had the events taken someplace else?

7.) Lastly, were you able to have any fun? Did you feel it was too easy? Too hard? Too crowded? Too sparse? Let me know of your overall experience!

You don't have to fill in everything. Just what you feel is important :)

The information provided will be taken into account once I start hosting the Joust on Monday.

I sleep during the day so I missed most of the events but I had alot of fun during the obstacle course even though I am the absolute worst at jumping boxes games.... The worst. DMing was just fine. Might have been funny if you sent everyone at once lol. Your choice for an olympics type event was very unique, good job Immy.

1: The events were paced out pretty nicely. I personally felt that if they dragged on too long, they would of got boring. Though I really would of preferred a different time of day. Earlier or Later, even if only by an hour or two.

2: You did fine on your own. Maybe an assistant to help with the more technical side of things, like the number crunching. But otherwise, good!

3: I love 'em. They all translated pretty well to ingame. Log birling was especially fun, though Eve was terrible at it.

4: It was fine. I do think things would of been less chaotic if you had people play them out in groups or pairs rather than all together. Log Birling could of been done much more orderly, and I think it could of used a different system than just "Don't roll a 1!". I personally would of had that every round, people had to roll above a certain, increasing threshold to stay on.

5: I can't give a good feedback of them because I was frankly more focused on the events than the characters. Though their double-act is cute. =p

6: Tanaris works from a lack of clutter perspective, but the desert is pretty boring.

7: I enjoyed it! The obstacle course felt a little lonely, to be honest, but the Log Birling and Sharpshooting were fun. I just wish the teams were more balances. The Horde have gotten gold in every event so far purely out of a lack of numbers Alliance side. And you know I have some Alliance pride.
