Okay, very few of you may have met this guy ICly, and heard his backstory. At first I thought it was interesting yeah okay. But the more I read around, the more I realized how utterly stupid and Sue-ish he was turning out. I like his personality and I really don't want to hate him, but I'm starting to. I want to be able to show I'm a competant writer and not just another "rule of cool" player.
Here's the issues i have with Taz.
His possessions started very young, his village feared the potential of dark spirits. Okay, what did they try to prevent it if at all and why would it not work on a whelp? Or why not just kill him right then? Or better yet, if they're a people that revere spirits so much why make such a big deal of it?
Who were his parents? Was one a shaman? Did trolls even HAVE shamans as we know them before thrall came? Why did they not see the signs or know what to do to stave it? What village was he from and if from echo isles when was he exiled that he didn't see the naga invasion? How could he survive at such a young age and with such an unstable condition? When going to settlements how did he learn enough in short stays to last him until his next mentor? How has he not been lynched before with the inevitability of possessions? Would it be too much to have been possessed, feared, exiled, and lynched, all as a small child?
Maybe I'm trying too hard to think of it in a human mindset. Because when I do that and I look at the whole picture, I go, "wow this is a freaking stupid dramatic nonsensical wreck".
