Valg'araz Skulltaker (Fel Orc Blademaster, Persistent)
#1
Race of character/NPC: Fel Orc

Class of character/NPC: Blademaster (Warrior)

Name of character/NPC: Valgaraz (Valg'araz Skulltaker)

Exact modelID requested: 21555 (Assuming the only item restriction on this model is the head slot, which it appears to be from this screenshot. )

Duration that character will be used: Persistent

Purpose for the character/NPC: Outland RP. I have some ideas I'm playing around with for events, both on his own and some with a guild/some felsworn characters, but right now he'll be terrorizing any willing RPers until I sort those out. Them Legion PCs need some love too. They don't get much. Also, because of his soldiers, I'll have more freedom to hold random mini-events and be creative. Do things with them instead of solely him.

Location the character/NPC will reside: Outland (Hellfire/Shadowmoon mainly), unless called elsewhere. Which I suspect he will be eventually.
Level requested: 80

Any special equipment needed: 47516, Fleshrender, for enchanting purposes. I'll have an addrpitem copy as well for the non-fiery version.

Scale: 1.2 (he's a very large fellow, and based on Reigen's orc height chart in the Guides section, this seems the closest to his actual height. I can reduce it if needed, however.)

Profile in spoiler.

Spoiler:

Player: JVNemesis

Character Full Name: Valg'araz Skulltaker

Character In-Game Name: Valgaraz

Nickname(s): (Calling him ‘Lord’, or a similar honorific is a good way to avoid injury.)

Association(s): Fel Horde.

Race: Fel Orc

Class: Blademaster (Warrior)

Age: 67 years

Sex: Male

Hair: None.

Eyes: Burning red.

Weight: 487 lbs.

Height: 7' 9”

Skills and Abilities: The blademaster fights as he commands; cunning, calculated, and merciless. When he really loses his temper, however, Valg'araz goes completely mad, slaughtering enemies and unlucky allies alike in his crazed bloodlust. Even when he abandons his skill for mad rage, the fel orc is an extremely deadly opponent. Easily a match for a handful of lesser soldiers, Valg'araz moves frighteningly fast for such a huge figure. Many a warrior, Alliance and Horde both, have fallen to his blade, surprised by how quick his strikes are. When the bloodlust consumes him, Valg'araz is capable of disregarding wounds that would cripple a lesser warrior.

Valg'araz is capable of channeling fel energy in much the same way that Horde blademasters call on the spirits to enhance their abilities.

When Valg'araz goes to battle there are several weapons he chooses from, depending on the situation. If the blademaster is sure of his ability to control his bloodlust, he will bring along an elegant polearm, with a jagged curving blade on each end. He must keep his temper to most effectively use the weapon, as much of its usefulness is lost when swinging in a mad rage. When his mind is carefully calculating, it is extremely difficult to counter the whirling blades. When finesse is thrown to the winds, he will take along either a vicious, two-handed sword or a long, blazing glaive. The three weapons are equally deadly in his hands.

Appearance: His skin is a ruddy, fel-tainted red, and his body ripples with bulging muscles. He stands tall and proud, arrogance evident in the way he holds himself and the contemptuous sneer always on his lips.

Black and crimson warplate covers his entire body, though his head is left bare to show off his huge, red-stained tusks, and scarred face. The armor seems to be in pristine condition, always gleaming and well-oiled, but there are a number of odd scratches and patched tears that seem out of place among the rest of the well cared for plate. They are battle scars from past opponents the blademaster has chosen to keep. There are thick, jagged ridges protruding from his forearms, and his gauntlets have been forged to accommodate them. Any punches or strikes with his arms are augmented in the damage they deal because of these.

His eyes burn with intense fel energy, and wisps of red seem to rise from the orbs when he is in a blood rage. He is particularly intimidating in the dark, as his crimson-glowing eyes cast a bloody light over his face, giving him an unearthly, demonic visage.
There are three long scars on each of his cheeks. His tusks, while stained with the blood of past opponents, are otherwise pristine: no chips or discoloration, no outward flaws whatsoever.

His cloak is made of a very thick, dark fabric, and laced with metal threads that can deflect a blade or absorb a blow, given the proper angle. Woven into the cloak by these threads are six skulls of various races, three running down each edge of the cloak.

Alignment: Chaotic Evil

Personality: Valg'araz is a vicious and brutal killer. He has nothing resembling even a fiber of care or compassion. Weaklings have no place in the world, and Valg'araz takes great pleasure in reminding them of the fact. Those unable to stand strong are crushed underfoot, and Valg'araz plays this creed up within the Burning Blade, promoting competition and backstabbing among his subordinates. Those who prove themselves strong in his eyes will endure only slightly less contempt than everyone else from the fel orc.

Valg'araz is one of the few orcs in the current Burning Blade who have survived since the First and Second Wars, back when the clan was in its prime. A blademaster empowered by the blood and magic of demons, he is a terrible opponent. His life has been extended by unnatural demonic magic, and his skin is a deep, bloody red, displaying for all to see the damnation he has brought on himself.

He is a cunning and utterly ruthless commander, sacrificing the lives of his soldiers without a second thought if need be. It is very rare for him to lose control of himself as a battlefield commander; he retains the clear-headedness needed to order strategic redeployments, or retreats, from a command post. When he is in the thick of the fighting, however, it is much more difficult to restrain his bloodlust.

Since his ascension to the rank of blademaster, Valg'araz has drawn a long cut across a cheek with a ceremonial dagger each time he has met an opponent that has challenged him enough to be worthy of his respect. It has been 42 years since he attained the title, and there are a total of six scars on his cheeks. He makes it a point to recite the name and skills of each of his adversaries to new challengers.

Then he turns around, showing them the skulls woven into his cloak, and explains how he killed each of them.

After he has defeated his chosen opponent, if they fought well enough, Valg'araz will seize their head in both his hands, even if they still live. Demonic fire will erupt from his fingers, searing away skin, flesh, and hair in the searing heat, leaving only a clean skull behind. He will then tear the skull clear of its body, and store it away to later add it to his cloak.

History: Valg'araz was born into the Burning Blade clan, growing up among the most vicious of the old Horde warriors. The constant struggle to survive against the maddened berserkers honed Valg's killer instinct early; to live among the most brutal and savage of the orcs, he had to become even more brutal and savage than they. His skills in death-dealing grew quickly, tested constantly against the other members of his clan and the draenei warriors they hunted across Draenor. Like the others of his clan, Valg was only too eager to consume the demon blood, drunk on the power flowing through his veins.

He participated in the First War, relishing the opportunity to test himself against the warriors of the Alliance, none of which impressed him. Soon after the sacking of Stormwind he and many of his brethren were returned to Draenor. The Horde offensive was slowing for the moment, and the Burning Blade were not needed. Penned up and lusting for the rush of combat again, Valg and the others in his internment began to fight amongst themselves.

Shortly before the combat dissolved into outright butchery, a powerful commander by the name of Grol'anar intervened. Grol was a blademaster, a demonically-infused killing machine so vicious that even the Burning Blade savages steered clear of him. Grol had set up groups of neophyte orcs, many of the Burning Blade among them, those that had the potential to better serve the Horde by shedding the blood of their enemies with the power of demons at their beck and call. But Grol wanted only the best, the most vicious, the most cunning, and would take only one pupil from each group. The rest would die. Valg was in one of these groups, and he slaughtered his way through the competition until he alone still breathed among the carnage on the field. Thus did his training begin.

Grol'anar pitted the acolytes against each other in everything they did; each stage of the training saw an apprentice die, the weakest culled from the herd. Valg preserved, his viciousness and cunning giving him the edge he needed to succeed where the others could not. None of the other initiates could match his skill in combat, and it seemed assured that Valg would be the star pupil.

When the final trial arrived, Valg pitted himself against the last two initiates and slew them both. He gorged himself on demonblood then, granted to him by one of the warlocks watching the contest, and then confronted his master. With the power of demons coursing through him, Valg was able to kill Grol in single combat as a crowd looked on. Triumphant, Valg took from Grol's corpse his rank, his sword, and his skull, anointing himself with the name of Skulltaker.

Valg assumed Grol's duties as a garrison commander of a small fortress, fighting against the Alliance when they advanced through the Portal. His forces fought well, though he was outmaneuvered by the Alliance as they pushed deeper into Draenor. He continued to skirmish with them, personally leading several devastating attacks, for the remainder of the war. When Azeroth's forces retreated back through the Dark Portal directly prior to its collapse, Valg and his soldiers pursued them. They did not make it in time, however, and were forced to retreat to their garrison as the world shook itself to pieces around them. Miraculously, Valg, most of his forces, and their outpost survived the sundering intact, and soon joined up with the rest of the shattered Horde left in the ruins of Draenor.

Over the next few years, the disorganized remnants of the Horde battled amongst themselves, warring for supremacy. Valg did well for himself, rallying a several groups to his banner, before Magetheridon appeared. The mighty pit lord called the orcs to serve him, offering his powerful blood in return, and Valg was only too happy to obey, content to battle under the demon's banner. He gorged himself on demon blood during this time, and his skin darkened to a ruddy red as the corruption took hold. When Illidan came to Outland and attacked, Valg was one of the many who fought against him, and one of the many who joined him afterward.

When the forces of the new Horde and Alliance came to Outland years later, Valg once again led his forces to war in Hellfire Peninsula, defending Hellfire Citadel from their siege. It was a losing cause, despite Valg's personal successes on the battlefield, and the Citadel was eventually stormed. Valg has stalked Outland ever since, venting his fury on the Alliance and Horde forces still battling there.
