I, according to my own rules, always travel In Character and in-game with my characters. Especially those who doesn't spend much time inside or close to settlements. (Only time I've ever broken this is during event for logistics and to save some time.)

Outland is hard to travel by road and alone but Telah can be found along most roads in Terokkar and Zangarmarsh, possibly the eastern edges of Nagrand.
Riael has one dragonhawk large enough to mount, but most often chooses the "low road" since jormungar don't fit upon avian. He can be found traveling the wilderness of Northrend and Kalimdor, possibly northern Lordaeron.

I remember tavern RP from ol' Booty Bay. And then people began to chastise going there, as if it were a sin to RP in Booty Bay. Or that it was plain weird. And then Hearthglen became the new BB. And now it's just kinda... Well... Umm... How do I put this nicely?

Niko and I did a good ol' road RP awhile back. Was quite fun, and the characters talked about all kinds of things. Was truly interesting.
