Hi. I'm JV. I've been here for over three years and never made a CotHiversary post. I've also only posted a feedback thread once, over a, possibly two, year(s) ago, and never bumped it.

It's...really about time, I think.

I figured I should, since I'm now a GM, formerly a forum helper, and just ran my first ever event in the past week. I don't think I'm really looking for anything specific, so...if you've got something to mention about my GMing, my DMing, me as a person, or whatever, feel free to post it here. I don't bite.

Often.

Most of the time.

More than once (at a time).

But, yeah. I'll likely be bumping this whenever I run an event for the Deadeyes (or anyone else) to get people's thoughts on how the event went.

Nah, I'm kidding.

So far of what I have RPed with ya, you handle your events very well! I know I had tons of fun during that Deadeye event the other day, excusing the million and a half puns.

Good-

It was very fun, placed just right with the perfect amount of enemies. Every action was played out as it should, with no one really getting in over their head with crazy stunts.

Bad-

Perhaps you might want to round up the OOC Chatter a bit. I know I participated in the Feast of a Thousand Puns, but it deviated and got a bit goofy during the whole event.

All the same, JV, ya did good and I can't wait for you to do more!
Do you have what it takes to join the Fighting Blues?
Do you have what it takes to defend your homeland?
Will you stand up in defense of the innocent? The weak?
Will you stand up in defense of Justice and the Law?

I thought the Deadeye event went pretty well. The puns perhaps did distract, but I also think that can be a good thing. Combat events run the danger of being repetitive and one-note, so the jokes and such I think are good distractions from that. I'm sure the next one will go smoother after what you learned from this one.

As for you yourself: you're generally together and eager to get things done. Don't change that. It's actually nice having a presence on the GM team that pushes everyone else to get things going, and I think we've needed that for a long time now.

Beyond that, I've spoken to you about some things, good and bad, before. I won't repeat all of that. I will say this, though: I know you get frustrated over some topics coming up repeatedly in the CotH chats. However, if people still want to talk about it...they still want to talk about it and it's in their rights to do so. There's no need to belittle that or others' opinions on it. The "*sigh* -This- again" treatment ends up coming off as passive-aggressive, however you intend it.
Have you hugged an orc today?
